Sura 11 - Hud

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
11:1
الر ۚ كِتَابٌ أُحْكِمَتْ آيَاتُهُ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ مِنْ لَدُنْ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ
*Alif Lam Ra. Hiki ni Kitabu ambacho Aya zake zimewekwa wazi, kisha zikapambanuliwa, kilicho toka kwa Mwenye Hikima na Mwenye Khabari,
*Alif, Lam Ra. [This is] a Book, whose signs have been made definitive and then elaborated, from One [who is] all-wise, all-aware,
11:2
أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّنِي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ وَبَشِيرٌ
*Ili msimuabudu isipo kuwa Allah, Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika mimi kwenu ni mwonyaji na mbashiri nitokae kwake.
*declaring: ‘Worship no one but Allah. I am indeed a warner to you from Him and a bearer of good news.
11:3
وَأَنِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُمْ مَتَاعًا حَسَنًا إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِي فَضْلٍ فَضْلَهُ ۖ وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ كَبِيرٍ
*Na ili mumwombe msamaha Mola wenu Mlezi, kisha mtubie kwake. Atakustarehesheni starehe nzuri mpaka muda maalumu. Na atampa kila mwenye fadhila, fadhila yake. Na ikiwa mtakengeuka basi mimi nakukhofieni adhabu ya hiyo Siku Kubwa.
*Plead with your Lord for forgiveness, then turn to Him penitently. He will provide you with a good provision for a specified term and grant His grace to every meritorious person. But if you turn your backs [on Him], indeed I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day.
11:4
إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
*Marejeo yenu ni kwa Mwenyezi Mungu tu. Naye ni Muweza wa kila kitu.
*To Allah will be your return, and He has power over all things.’
11:5
أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ يَثْنُونَ صُدُورَهُمْ لِيَسْتَخْفُوا مِنْهُ ۚ أَلَا حِينَ يَسْتَغْشُونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
*Hebu angalia! Ati wanafunika vilivyomo vifuani mwao ili wamfiche Mwenyezi Mungu! Jueni kuwa wanapo jigubika nguo zao Yeye anajua wanayo yaficha na wanayo yatangaza. Hakika Yeye ni Mjuzi wa yaliyomo vifuani.
*Look! They fold up their breasts to hide [their secret feelings] from Him. Look! When they draw their cloaks over their heads, He knows whatever they keep secret and whatever they disclose. Indeed, He knows best whatever is in the breasts.
11:6
وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا ۚ كُلٌّ فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ
*NA HAKUNA mnyama yoyote katika ardhi ila riziki yake iko kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Naye anajua makao yake na mapitio yake. Yote yamo katika Kitabu chenye kubainisha.
*There is no animal on the earth, but that its sustenance lies with Allah, and He knows its [enduring] abode and its temporary place of lodging. Everything is in a manifest Book.
11:7
وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ۗ وَلَئِنْ قُلْتَ إِنَّكُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ
*Na Yeye ndiye aliye ziumba mbingu na ardhi katika siku sita. Na Kiti chake cha Enzi kilikuwa juu ya maji, ili akufanyieni mtihani ajuulikane ni nani miongoni mwenu mzuri zaidi wa vitendo. Na wewe ukisema: Nyinyi hakika mtafufuliwa baada ya kufa; wale walio kufuru husema: Hayakuwa haya ila ni uchawi uliyo wazi.
*It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days—and His Throne was [then] upon the waters—that He may test you [to see] which of you is best in conduct. Yet if you say, ‘You will indeed be raised up after death,’ the faithless will surely say, ‘This is nothing but plain magic.’
11:8
وَلَئِنْ أَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِلَىٰ أُمَّةٍ مَعْدُودَةٍ لَيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهُ ۗ أَلَا يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوفًا عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
*Na tukiwacheleweshea adhabu mpaka muda ulio kwisha hisabiwa wao husema: Nini kinacho izuia hiyo adhabu? Jueni! Siku itakapo wajia basi haitoondolewa hiyo kwao. Na yatawazunguka yale waliyo kuwa wakiyafanyia mzaha.
*And if We defer their punishment until a certain time, they will surely say, ‘What holds it back?’ Look! On the day it overtakes them it shall not be turned away from them, and they will be besieged by what they used to deride.
11:9
وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً ثُمَّ نَزَعْنَاهَا مِنْهُ إِنَّهُ لَيَئُوسٌ كَفُورٌ
*Na tukimwonjesha mtu rehema inayo toka kwetu, kisha tukamwondolea, hukata tamaa akakufuru.
*If We let man taste a mercy from Us, and then withdraw it from him, he becomes despondent, ungrateful.
11:10
وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَاهُ نَعْمَاءَ بَعْدَ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ السَّيِّئَاتُ عَنِّي ۚ إِنَّهُ لَفَرِحٌ فَخُورٌ
*Na tukimwonjesha neema baada ya madhara yaliyo mpata husema: Taabu zimekwisha niondokea. Hakika yeye hujitapa na kutafakhari.
*And if We let him have a taste of Our blessings after adversities have befallen him, he will surely say, ‘All ills have left me.’ Indeed, he becomes a vain braggart,
11:11
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ
*Ila wale walio subiri wakatenda mema. Hao watapata msamaha na ujira mkubwa.
*excepting those who are patient and do righteous deeds. For such there will be forgiveness and a great reward.
11:12
فَلَعَلَّكَ تَارِكٌ بَعْضَ مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيْكَ وَضَائِقٌ بِهِ صَدْرُكَ أَنْ يَقُولُوا لَوْلَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ كَنْزٌ أَوْ جَاءَ مَعَهُ مَلَكٌ ۚ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ نَذِيرٌ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ
*Basi labda utaacha baadhi ya yale yaliyo funuliwa kwako, na kifua kitaona dhiki kwa hayo, kwa sababu wanasema: Mbona hakuteremshiwa khazina, au wakaja naye Malaika? Wewe ni mwonyaji tu, na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mlinzi wa kila kitu.
*[Look out] lest you should disregard aught of what has been revealed to you, and be upset because they say, ‘Why has not a treasure been sent down to him, or [why does] not an angel accompany him?’ You are only a warner, and Allah watches over all things.
11:13
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ ۖ قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِعَشْرِ سُوَرٍ مِثْلِهِ مُفْتَرَيَاتٍ وَادْعُوا مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
*Au wanasema: Ameizua? Sema: Basi leteni Sura kumi zilizo zuliwa mfano wa hii, na waiteni muwawezao badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu, ikiwa mnasema kweli.
*Do they say, ‘He has fabricated it?’ Say, ‘Then bring ten surahs like it, fabricated, and invoke whomever you can, besides Allah, should you be truthful.’
11:14
فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا أُنْزِلَ بِعِلْمِ اللَّهِ وَأَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
*Na wasipo kuitikieni, basi jueni ya kwamba (hii Qur´ani) imeteremshwa kwa ujuzi wa Mwenyezi Mungu, na kwamba hapana mungu ila Yeye. Basi je! Nyinyi ni Waislamu?
*But if they do not respond to you, know that it has been sent down by Allah’s knowledge, and that there is no god except Him. Will you, then, submit [to Allah]?
11:15
مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يُبْخَسُونَ
*Wanao taka maisha ya dunia na pumbao lake tutawalipa humo vitendo vyao kaamili. Na wao humo hawatopunjwa.
*As for those who desire the life of this world and its glitter, We will recompense them fully for their works therein, and they shall not be underpaid in it.
11:16
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا النَّارُ ۖ وَحَبِطَ مَا صَنَعُوا فِيهَا وَبَاطِلٌ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
*Hao ndio ambao hawatakuwa na kitu Akhera ila Moto, na yataharibika waliyo yafanya, na yatapotea bure waliyo kuwa wakiyatenda.
*They are the ones for whom there shall be nothing in the Hereafter but Fire: what they had accomplished in the world has failed, and their works have come to naught.
11:17
أَفَمَنْ كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَيَتْلُوهُ شَاهِدٌ مِنْهُ وَمِنْ قَبْلِهِ كِتَابُ مُوسَىٰ إِمَامًا وَرَحْمَةً ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِهِ مِنَ الْأَحْزَابِ فَالنَّارُ مَوْعِدُهُ ۚ فَلَا تَكُ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
*Basi je, mtu aliye na dalili wazi itokayo kwa Mola wake Mlezi, inayo fuatwa na shahidi anaye toka kwake, na kabla yake kilikuwa Kitabu cha Musa kilicho kuwa mwongozi na rehema - hao wanamuamini, na anaye mkataa katika makundi, basi Moto ndio pahala pa miadi yao. Basi usiwe na shaka juu ya hayo. Hii ni Haki itokayo kwa Mola wako Mlezi; lakini watu wengi hawaamini.
*Is he who stands on a manifest proof from his Lord, and whom a witness of his own [family] follows? And before him there was the Book of Moses, a guide and mercy. It is they who have faith in it, and whoever defies him from among the factions, the Fire is their tryst. So do not be in doubt about it; it is the truth from your Lord, but most people do not have faith.
11:18
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَقُولُ الْأَشْهَادُ هَٰؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ أَلَا لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ
*Na nani aliye dhaalimu mkubwa kuliko yule anaye mzulia Mwenyezi Mungu uwongo? Hao watahudhurishwa mbele ya Mola wao Mlezi, na mashahidi watasema: Hawa ndio walio mtungia uwongo Mola wao Mlezi. Laana ya Mwenyezi Mungu iwapate walio dhulumu,
*Who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah? Such shall be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, ‘It is these who lied against their Lord.’ Behold! The curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers
11:19
الَّذِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا وَهُمْ بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ
*Ambao wanazuilia Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na wanaitakia ipotoke, na wanaikataa Akhera.
*—those who bar [others] from the way of Allah, and seek to make it crooked, and disbelieve in the Hereafter.
11:20
أُولَٰئِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُوا مُعْجِزِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۘ يُضَاعَفُ لَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ ۚ مَا كَانُوا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ السَّمْعَ وَمَا كَانُوا يُبْصِرُونَ
*Hao hawawezi kushinda katika ardhi, wala hawana walinzi isipo kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Watazidishiwa adhabu. Hawakuwa wakiweza kusikia wala hawakuwa wakiona.
*They cannot frustrate [Allah] on the earth, nor do they have besides Allah any guardian. For them the punishment shall be doubled, for they could neither listen, nor did they use to see.
11:21
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
*Hao ndio walio zikhasiri nafsi zao, na yakawapotea waliyo kuwa wakiyazua.
*They are the ones who have ruined their souls, and what they used to fabricate has forsaken them.
11:22
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ هُمُ الْأَخْسَرُونَ
*Bila ya shaka hakika wao ndio wenye kukhasiri huko Akhera.
*Undoubtedly, they are the ones who will be the biggest losers in the Hereafter.
11:23
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَأَخْبَتُوا إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
*Hakika wale walio amini,na wakatenda mema, na wakanyenyekea kwa Mola wao Mlezi, hao ndio watu wa Peponi, na humo watadumu.
*Indeed those who have faith and do righteous deeds and are humble before their Lord—they shall be the inhabitants of paradise, and they shall remain in it [forever].
11:24
مَثَلُ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ كَالْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْأَصَمِّ وَالْبَصِيرِ وَالسَّمِيعِ ۚ هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلًا ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
*Mfano wa makundi mawili ni kama kipofu kiziwi, na mwenye kuona na anasikia. Je, wawili hawa wanakuwa sawa kwa kufananishwa? Basi, je, hamfikiri?
*The parable of the two parties is that of one who is blind and deaf and one who sees and hears. Are they equal in comparison? Will you not then take admonition?
11:25
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ
*Na Sisi tulimtuma Nuhu kwa watu wake, akawaambia: Hakika mimi ni mwonyaji kwenu ninaye bainisha,
*Certainly We sent Noah to his people [to declare]: ‘Indeed I am a manifest warner to you.
11:26
أَنْ لَا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ
*Ya kwamba msimuabudu isipo kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu tu. Hakika mimi ninakukhofieni adhabu ya Siku Chungu.
*Worship none but Allah. Indeed I fear for you the punishment of a painful day.’
11:27
فَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ مَا نَرَاكَ إِلَّا بَشَرًا مِثْلَنَا وَمَا نَرَاكَ اتَّبَعَكَ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ هُمْ أَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِيَ الرَّأْيِ وَمَا نَرَىٰ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ فَضْلٍ بَلْ نَظُنُّكُمْ كَاذِبِينَ
*Na wakasema wakuu walio kufuru katika kaumu yake: Hatukuoni wewe ila ni mtu tu kama sisi, wala hatukuoni wamekufuata ila wale walio kuwa kwetu watu duni, wasio kuwa na akili. Wala hatukuoneni kuwa mna ubora wowote kutushinda sisi. Bali tuna hakika nyinyi ni waongo.
*But the elite of the faithless from among his people said, ‘We do not see you to be anything but a human being like ourselves, and we do not see anyone following you except those who are simpleminded riffraff from our midst. Nor do we see that you have any merit over us. Indeed, we consider you to be liars.’
11:28
قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّي وَآتَانِي رَحْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِهِ فَعُمِّيَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ لَهَا كَارِهُونَ
*Akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Hebu fikirini! Ikiwa mimi ninayo hoja wazi iliyo toka kwa Mola wangu Mlezi, na amenipa rehema kutoka kwake, nayo ikakufichikieni; je, tukulazimisheni kuikubali hali nyinyi mnaichukia?
*He said, ‘O my people! Tell me, should I stand on a manifest proof from my Lord, and He has granted me His own mercy—though it should be invisible to you—shall we force it upon you while you are averse to it?
11:29
وَيَا قَوْمِ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَالًا ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ وَمَا أَنَا بِطَارِدِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ۚ إِنَّهُمْ مُلَاقُو رَبِّهِمْ وَلَٰكِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُونَ
*Na enyi watu wangu! Mimi sikuombeni mali kwa ajili ya haya. Mimi sina ujira ila kwa Mwenyezi Mungu; na mimi sitawafukuza walio amini. Hakika wao watakutana na Mola wao Mlezi, lakini mimi nakuoneni mnafanya ujinga.
*O my people! I do not ask you any material reward for it. My reward lies only with Allah. But I will not drive away those who have faith: they will indeed encounter their Lord. But I see that you are an ignorant lot.
11:30
وَيَا قَوْمِ مَنْ يَنْصُرُنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ إِنْ طَرَدْتُهُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
*Na enyi watu wangu! Ni nani atakaye nisaidia kwa Mwenyezi Mungu nikiwafukuza hawa? Basi je, hamfikiri?
*O my people! Who would come to my help against Allah were I to drive them away? Will you not then take admonition?
11:31
وَلَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِي خَزَائِنُ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ وَلَا أَقُولُ إِنِّي مَلَكٌ وَلَا أَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ تَزْدَرِي أَعْيُنُكُمْ لَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا ۖ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ ۖ إِنِّي إِذًا لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
*Wala sikwambiini kuwa nina khazina za Mwenyezi Mungu; wala kuwa mimi najua mambo ya ghaibu; wala sisemi: Mimi ni Malaika. Wala siwasemi wale ambao yanawadharau macho yenu kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu hatawapa kheri - Mwenyezi Mungu anajua yaliomo katika nafsi zao - hapo bila ya shaka ninge kuwa miongoni mwa wenye kudhulumu.
*I do not say to you that I possess the treasuries of Allah, neither do I know the Unseen. I do not claim to be an angel, neither do I say of those who are despicable in your eyes that Allah will not grant them any good—Allah knows best what is in their hearts—for then I would indeed be a wrongdoer.’
11:32
قَالُوا يَا نُوحُ قَدْ جَادَلْتَنَا فَأَكْثَرْتَ جِدَالَنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
*Wakasema: Ewe Nuhu! Umejadiliana, na umekithirisha kutujadili. Basi tuletee hayo unayo tuahidi, ukiwa miongoni mwa wasemao kweli.
*They said, ‘O Noah, you have disputed with us already, and you have disputed with us exceedingly. Now bring us what you threaten us with, should you be truthful.
11:33
قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَأْتِيكُمْ بِهِ اللَّهُ إِنْ شَاءَ وَمَا أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ
*Akasema: Mwenyezi Mungu atakuleteeni akipenda. Wala nyinyi si wenye kumshinda.
*He said, ‘Allah will indeed bring it on you if He wishes, and you cannot frustrate [Him].
11:34
وَلَا يَنْفَعُكُمْ نُصْحِي إِنْ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَنْصَحَ لَكُمْ إِنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُغْوِيَكُمْ ۚ هُوَ رَبُّكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
*Wala nasaha yangu haikufaini kitu nikitaka kukunasihini, ikiwa Mwenyezi Mungu anataka kukuachieni mpotee. Yeye ndiye Mola wenu Mlezi; na kwake mtarejeshwa.
*My exhorting will not benefit you, much as I may seek to exhort you, if Allah desires to consign you to perversity. He is your Lord, and to Him you shall be brought back.’
11:35
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ ۖ قُلْ إِنِ افْتَرَيْتُهُ فَعَلَيَّ إِجْرَامِي وَأَنَا بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تُجْرِمُونَ
*Au ndio wanasema: Ameizua? Sema: Ikiwa nimeizua, basi kosa hilo ni juu yangu, na mimi sikhusiki na makosa myatendayo.
*Do they say, ‘He has fabricated it?’ Say, ‘Should I have fabricated it, then my guilt will be upon me, and I am absolved of your guilty conduct.’
11:36
وَأُوحِيَ إِلَىٰ نُوحٍ أَنَّهُ لَنْ يُؤْمِنَ مِنْ قَوْمِكَ إِلَّا مَنْ قَدْ آمَنَ فَلَا تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
*Na akafunuliwa Nuhu akaambiwa: Hataamini yeyote katika watu wako ila wale walio kwisha amini. Basi usisikitike kwa waliyo kuwa wakiyatenda.
*It was revealed to Noah: ‘None of your people will believe except those who already have faith; so do not sorrow for what they used to do.
11:37
وَاصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ۚ إِنَّهُمْ مُغْرَقُونَ
*Na unda jahazi mbele ya macho yetu na kwa mujibu wa ufunuo wetu. Wala usinisemeze kuwatetea walio dhulumu. Kwani hao bila ya shaka watazamishwa.
*Build the ark before Our eyes and by Our revelation, and do not plead with Me for those who are wrongdoers: they shall indeed be drowned.’
11:38
وَيَصْنَعُ الْفُلْكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ مَلَأٌ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُ ۚ قَالَ إِنْ تَسْخَرُوا مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسْخَرُ مِنْكُمْ كَمَا تَسْخَرُونَ
*Na akawa anaunda jahazi, na kila wakipita wakuu wa kaumu yake wakimkejeli. Yeye akasema: Ikiwa nyinyi mnatukejeli na sisi tunakukejelini kama mnavyo tukejeli.
*As he was building the ark, whenever the elders of his people passed by him, they would ridicule him. He said, ‘If you ridicule us [today], we shall ridicule you [tomorrow] just as you ridicule us [now].
11:39
فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُقِيمٌ
*Nanyi mtakuja jua ni nani itakaye mfikia adhabu ya kumhizi, na itakaye mteremkia adhabu ya kudumu.
*Soon you will know whom a disgraceful punishment will overtake and on whom a lasting punishment will descend.’
11:40
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا احْمِلْ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ وَمَنْ آمَنَ ۚ وَمَا آمَنَ مَعَهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ
*Hata ilipo kuja amri yetu, na tanuri ikafoka maji, tulisema: Pakia humo wawili wawili, dume na jike, kutoka kila aina, na ahali zako, isipo kuwa wale ambao imekwisha wapitia hukumu; na watu walio amini. Na hawakuamini pamoja naye ila wachache tu.
*When Our edict came and the oven gushed [a stream of water], We said, ‘Carry in it a pair of every kind [of animal], along with your family—except those [of them] against whom the edict has already been given—and those who have faith.’ And none believed with him except a few.
11:41
وَقَالَ ارْكَبُوا فِيهَا بِسْمِ اللَّهِ مَجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Na akasema: Pandeni humo kwa Bismillahi, Kwa Jina la Mwenyezi Mungu, kwenda kwake na kusimama kwake. Hakika Mola wangu Mlezi ni Mwenye kusamehe Mwenye kurehemu.
*He said, ‘Board it: In the Name of Allah it shall set sail and cast anchor. Indeed my Lord is all-forgiving, all-merciful.’
11:42
وَهِيَ تَجْرِي بِهِمْ فِي مَوْجٍ كَالْجِبَالِ وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ ابْنَهُ وَكَانَ فِي مَعْزِلٍ يَا بُنَيَّ ارْكَبْ مَعَنَا وَلَا تَكُنْ مَعَ الْكَافِرِينَ
*Ikawa inakwenda nao katika mawimbi kama milima. Na Nuhu akamwita mwanawe naye alikuwa mbali: Ewe mwanangu! Panda pamoja nasi, wala usiwe pamoja na makafiri.
*And it sailed along with them amid waves [rising] like mountains. Noah called out to his son, who stood aloof, ‘O my son! ‘Board with us, and do not be with the faithless!’
11:43
قَالَ سَآوِي إِلَىٰ جَبَلٍ يَعْصِمُنِي مِنَ الْمَاءِ ۚ قَالَ لَا عَاصِمَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا مَنْ رَحِمَ ۚ وَحَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا الْمَوْجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُغْرَقِينَ
*Akasema: Nitakimbilia mlimani unilinde na maji. (Nuhu) akasema: Leo hapana wa kulindwa na amri ya Mwenyezi Mungu ila aliye mrehemu mwenyewe. Na wimbi likawatenganisha, akawa katika walio zama.
*He said, ‘I shall take refuge on a mountain; it will protect me from the flood.’ He said, ‘There is none today who can protect from Allah’s edict, except someone upon whom He has mercy.’ Then the waves came between them, and he was among those who were drowned.
11:44
وَقِيلَ يَا أَرْضُ ابْلَعِي مَاءَكِ وَيَا سَمَاءُ أَقْلِعِي وَغِيضَ الْمَاءُ وَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَاسْتَوَتْ عَلَى الْجُودِيِّ ۖ وَقِيلَ بُعْدًا لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
*Na ikasemwa: Ewe ardhi! Meza maji yako. Na Ewe mbingu! Jizuie. Basi maji yakadidimia chini, na amri ikapitishwa, na (jahazi) likasimama juu ya (mlima) wa Al Juudiy. Na ikasemwa: Wapotelee mbali watu walio dhulumu!
*Then it was said, ‘O earth, swallow your water! O sky, leave off!’ The waters receded; the edict was carried out, and it settled on [Mount] Judi. Then it was said, ‘Away with the wrongdoing lot!’
11:45
وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ رَبَّهُ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ابْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِي وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنْتَ أَحْكَمُ الْحَاكِمِينَ
*Na Nuhu alimwomba Mola wake Mlezi: Ee Mola Mlezi wangu! Hakika mwanangu ni katika ahali zangu, na hakika ahadi yako ni haki. Na Wewe ni Mwenye haki kuliko mahakimu wote.
*Noah called out to his Lord, and said, ‘My Lord! My son is indeed from my family. Your promise is indeed true, and You are the fairest of all judges.’
11:46
قَالَ يَا نُوحُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ ۖ فَلَا تَسْأَلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۖ إِنِّي أَعِظُكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ
*Akasema: Ewe Nuhu! Huyu si katika ahali zako. Mwendo wake si mwema. Basi usiniombe jambo usio na ujuzi nalo. Mimi nakuwaidhi usije ukawa miongoni mwa wajinga.
*Said He, ‘O Noah! Indeed, He is not of your family. Indeed, he is [personification of] unrighteous conduct. So do not ask Me [something] of which you have no knowledge. I advise you lest you should be among the ignorant.’
11:47
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۖ وَإِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِي وَتَرْحَمْنِي أَكُنْ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
*Nuhu akasema: Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi! Mimi najikinga kwako nisikuombe nisio na ujuzi nalo. Na kama hunisamehe na ukanirehemu, nitakuwa katika walio khasiri.
*He said, ‘My Lord! I seek Your protection lest I should ask You something of which I have no knowledge. If You do not forgive me and have mercy upon me I shall be among the losers.’
11:48
قِيلَ يَا نُوحُ اهْبِطْ بِسَلَامٍ مِنَّا وَبَرَكَاتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ أُمَمٍ مِمَّنْ مَعَكَ ۚ وَأُمَمٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُمْ مِنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
*Ikasemwa: Ewe Nuhu! Shuka kwa salama itokayo kwetu, na baraka nyingi juu yako na juu ya watu walio pamoja nawe. Na zitakuwapo kaumu tutakazo zistarehesha, na kisha zitashikwa na adhabu chungu itokayo kwetu.
*It was said, ‘O Noah! Disembark in peace from Us and with [Our] blessings upon you and upon nations [to descend] from those who are with you, and nations whom We shall provide for, then a painful punishment from Us shall befall them.’
11:49
تِلْكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ الْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهَا إِلَيْكَ ۖ مَا كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُهَا أَنْتَ وَلَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ هَٰذَا ۖ فَاصْبِرْ ۖ إِنَّ الْعَاقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
*Hizi ni katika khabari za ghaibu tunazo kufunulia. Hukuwa ukizijua wewe, wala watu wako, kabla ya hii. Basi subiri! Hakika Mwisho ni wa wachamngu.
*These are accounts of the Unseen, which We reveal to you. Neither you nor your people used to know them before this. So be patient. Indeed the outcome will be in favour of the Godwary.
11:50
وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًا ۚ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُونَ
*Na kwa kina A´adi tulimtuma ndugu yao Hud. Akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Muabuduni Mwenyezi Mungu! Nyinyi hamna mungu isipo kuwa Yeye. Nyinyi si chochote ila ni wazushi tu.
*And to ‘Ad [We sent] Hud, their brother. He said, ‘O my people! Worship Allah. You have no other god besides Him: you merely fabricate [the deities that you worship].
11:51
يَا قَوْمِ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
*Enyi watu wangu! Sikuombeni ujira kwa ajili ya haya. Haukuwa ujira wangu ila kwa Yule aliye niumba. Basi hamtumii akili?
*‘O my people! I do not ask you any reward for it. My reward lies only with Him who originated me. Do you not exercise your reason?
11:52
وَيَا قَوْمِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارًا وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوْا مُجْرِمِينَ
*Na enyi watu wangu! Muombeni msamaha Mola wenu Mlezi, kisha mtubie kwake. Atakuleteeni mbingu zenye kunyesha mvua ya kumiminika, na atakuzidishieni nguvu juu ya nguvu zenu. Wala msigeuke mkawa wakosefu.
*‘O my people! Plead with your Lord for forgiveness, then turn to Him penitently: He will send copious rains for you from the sky, and add power to your [present] power. So do not turn your backs [on Him] as guilty ones.’
11:53
قَالُوا يَا هُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِي آلِهَتِنَا عَنْ قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Wakasema: Ewe Hud! Hujatuletea dalili wazi. Wala sisi hatuiachi miungu yetu kwa kufuata kauli yako. Na wala sisi hatukuamini wewe.
*They said, ‘O Hud, you have not brought us any manifest proof. We are not going to abandon our gods for what you say, and we are not going to believe you.
11:54
إِنْ نَقُولُ إِلَّا اعْتَرَاكَ بَعْضُ آلِهَتِنَا بِسُوءٍ ۗ قَالَ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ وَاشْهَدُوا أَنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ
*Sisi tunasema: Baadhi katika miungu yetu imekusibu kwa baa. Akasema: Hakika mimi namshuhudisha Mwenyezi Mungu, na nyinyi shuhudieni, ya kwamba mimi najitenga mbali na hao mnao wafanya washirika,
*All we say is that some of our gods have visited you with some evil.’ He said, ‘I call Allah to witness—and you too be [my] witnesses—that I repudiate what you take as [His] partners
11:55
مِنْ دُونِهِ ۖ فَكِيدُونِي جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ لَا تُنْظِرُونِ
*Mkamwacha Yeye. Basi nyote nyinyi nipangieni vitimbi, na kisha msinipe muhula!
*besides Him. Now try out your stratagems against me, together, without granting me any respite.
11:56
إِنِّي تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمْ ۚ مَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
*Hakika mimi nimemtegemea Mwenyezi Mungu, Mola Mlezi wangu na Mola Mlezi wenu. Hapana kiumbe yeyote ila Yeye anamwendesha atakavyo. Hakika Mola wangu Mlezi yuko juu ya Njia Iliyo Nyooka.
*Indeed I have put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no living being but He holds it by its forelock. Indeed my Lord is on a straight path.
11:57
فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ مَا أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ إِلَيْكُمْ ۚ وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ رَبِّي قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُ شَيْئًا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيظٌ
*Na ikiwa watarudi nyuma, basi mimi nimekwisha kufikishieni niliyo tumwa kwenu. Na Mola wangu Mlezi atawaleta watu wengine badala yenu, wala nyinyi hamumdhuru kitu Yeye. Hakika Mola wangu Mlezi ni Mwenye kuhifadhi kila kitu.
*But if you turn your backs [on me], then [know that] I have communicated to you whatever I was sent to you with. My Lord will make another people succeed you, and you will not hurt Allah in the least. Indeed my Lord is watchful over all things.’
11:58
وَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا هُودًا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنَّا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ
*Ilipo fika amri yetu, tulimwokoa Hud na walio amini pamoja naye, kwa rehema itokayo kwetu. Na tukawaokoa na adhabu ngumu.
*When Our edict came, We delivered Hud and the faithful who were with him, by a mercy from Us, and We delivered them from a harsh punishment.
11:59
وَتِلْكَ عَادٌ ۖ جَحَدُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَصَوْا رُسُلَهُ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
*Na hao ndio kina A´adi. Walizikanusha Ishara za Mola wao Mlezi, na wakawaasi Mitume wake, na wakafuata amri ya kila jabari mwenye inda.
*Such were [the people of] Ad: they impugned the signs of their Lord and disobeyed His apostles, and followed the dictates of every obstinate tyrant.
11:60
وَأُتْبِعُوا فِي هَٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةً وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ عَادًا كَفَرُوا رَبَّهُمْ ۗ أَلَا بُعْدًا لِعَادٍ قَوْمِ هُودٍ
*Na wakafuatishiwa laana katika dunia hii na Siku ya Kiyama. Basi tambueni mtanabahi! Hakika kina A´adi walimkufuru Mola wao Mlezi. Na tambueni mtanabahi kuwa hakika waliangamizwa kina A´adi, kaumu ya Hud.
*So they were pursued by a curse in this world and on the Day of Resurrection. Behold! ‘Ad indeed defied their Lord. Now, away with ‘Ad, the people of Hud!
11:61
وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا ۚ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ هُوَ أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ وَاسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا فَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيبٌ مُجِيبٌ
*Na kina Thamud tuliwapelekea ndugu yao Saleh. Akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Muabuduni Mwenyezi Mungu. Nyinyi hamna Mungu ila Yeye. Yeye ndiye aliye kuumbeni katika ardhi, na akakuwekeni humo. Basi mwombeni msamaha, kisha mtubu kwake. Hakika Mola wangu Mlezi yupo karibu, anaitikia maombi.
*And to Thamud [We sent] Salih, their brother. He said, ‘O my people! Worship Allah. You have no other god besides Him. He brought you forth from the earth and made it your habitation. So plead with Him for forgiveness, then turn to Him penitently. My Lord is indeed nearmost [and] responsive.’
11:62
قَالُوا يَا صَالِحُ قَدْ كُنْتَ فِينَا مَرْجُوًّا قَبْلَ هَٰذَا ۖ أَتَنْهَانَا أَنْ نَعْبُدَ مَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِي شَكٍّ مِمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ
*Wakasema: Ewe Saleh! Hakika kabla ya haya ulikuwa unatarajiwa kheri kwetu. Je, unatukataza tusiwaabudu waliyo kuwa wakiwaabudu baba zetu? Na hakika sisi tuna shaka na wasiwasi kwa hayo unayo tuitia.
*They said, ‘O Salih! You were a source of hope to us before this. Do you forbid us to worship what our fathers have been worshiping? Indeed we have grave doubts concerning that to which you invite us.’
11:63
قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّي وَآتَانِي مِنْهُ رَحْمَةً فَمَنْ يَنْصُرُنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ إِنْ عَصَيْتُهُ ۖ فَمَا تَزِيدُونَنِي غَيْرَ تَخْسِيرٍ
*Akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Mwaonaje ikiwa ninazo dalili zilizo wazi kutokana na Mola wangu Mlezi, naye akawa kanipa rehema kutoka kwake - je, ni nani atakaye ninusuru kwa Mwenyezi Mungu nikimuasi? Basi nyinyi hamtanizidishia ila khasara tu.
*He said, ‘O my people! Tell me, should I stand on a manifest proof from my Lord, and He has granted me His own mercy, who will protect me from Allah should I disobey Him? For then you will increase me in nothing but loss.
11:64
وَيَا قَوْمِ هَٰذِهِ نَاقَةُ اللَّهِ لَكُمْ آيَةً فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِي أَرْضِ اللَّهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ قَرِيبٌ
*Enyi watu wangu! Huyu ngamia wa Mwenyezi Mungu ni Ishara kwenu. Basi mwacheni ale katika ardhi ya Mwenyezi Mungu; wala msimguse kwa ubaya, isije ikakuangamizeni adhabu iliyo karibu.
*O my people! This she-camel of Allah is a sign for you. Let her graze [freely] in Allah’s land, and do not cause her any harm, for then you shall be seized by a prompt punishment.’
11:65
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا فِي دَارِكُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوبٍ
*Wakamchinja. Basi (Saleh) akasema: Stareheni katika mji wenu muda wa siku tatu. Hiyo ni ahadi isiyo kuwa ya uwongo.
*But they hamstrung her, whereupon he said, ‘Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days: that is a promise not to be belied!’
11:66
فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا صَالِحًا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنَّا وَمِنْ خِزْيِ يَوْمِئِذٍ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الْقَوِيُّ الْعَزِيزُ
*Basi ilipo kuja amri yetu tulimwokoa Saleh na wale walio amini pamoja naye kwa rehema yetu kutokana na hizaya ya siku ile. Hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kushinda.
*So when Our edict came, We delivered Salih and the faithful who were with him by a mercy from Us and from the [punishment and] disgrace of that day. Your Lord is indeed the All-strong, the All-mighty.
11:67
وَأَخَذَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا الصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي دِيَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
*Na ukelele uliwaangamiza wale walio dhulumu, wakapambazukiwa nao ni maiti majumbani mwao.
*The Cry seized those who were wrongdoers, and they lay lifeless prostrate in their homes,
11:68
كَأَنْ لَمْ يَغْنَوْا فِيهَا ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ ثَمُودَ كَفَرُوا رَبَّهُمْ ۗ أَلَا بُعْدًا لِثَمُودَ
*Kama kwamba hawakuwako huko. Hebu zingatieni! Hakika kina Thamud walimkufuru Mola wao Mlezi. Hebu zingatieni! Thamud wamepotelea mbali!
*as if they had never lived there. Behold! Thamud indeed defied their Lord. Now, away with Thamud!
11:69
وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ بِالْبُشْرَىٰ قَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَامٌ ۖ فَمَا لَبِثَ أَنْ جَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ حَنِيذٍ
*Na wajumbe wetu walimjia Ibrahim kwa bishara njema, wakasema: Salama! Naye akasema: Salama! Hakukaa ila mara akaleta ndama wa kuchoma.
*Certainly Our messengers came to Abraham with the good news, and said, ‘Peace!’ ‘Peace!’ He replied. Presently he brought [for them] a roasted calf.
11:70
فَلَمَّا رَأَىٰ أَيْدِيَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۚ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ
*Basi alipoona mikono yao haimfikilii aliwatilia shaka, na akawaogopa. Wakasema: Usiogope! Hakika sisi tumetumwa kwa kaumu ya Lut´.
*But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he took them amiss and felt a fear of them. They said, ‘Do not be afraid. We have been sent to the people of Lot.’
11:71
وَامْرَأَتُهُ قَائِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا بِإِسْحَاقَ وَمِنْ وَرَاءِ إِسْحَاقَ يَعْقُوبَ
*Na mkewe alikuwa kasimama wima, akacheka. Basi tukambashiria (kuzaliwa) Is-haq, na baada ya Is-haq Yaaqub.
*His wife, standing by, laughed as We gave her the good news of [the birth of] Isaac, and of Jacob, after Isaac.
11:72
قَالَتْ يَا وَيْلَتَىٰ أَأَلِدُ وَأَنَا عَجُوزٌ وَهَٰذَا بَعْلِي شَيْخًا ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
*Akasema: Je, hivyo mimi nizae, na hali yangu ni kikongwe na huyu mume wangu ni kizee? Hakika haya ni mambo ya ajabu!
*She said, ‘Oh, my! Shall I, an old woman, bear [children], and [while] this husband of mine is an old man?! That is indeed an odd thing!’
11:73
قَالُوا أَتَعْجَبِينَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ ۖ رَحْمَتُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ ۚ إِنَّهُ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
*Wakasema: Je, unastaajabia amri ya Mwenyezi Mungu? Rehema ya Mwenyezi Mungu na baraka zake ziko juu yenu, enyi watu wa nyumba hii! Hakika Yeye ndiye Msifiwa wa kutukuzwa.
*They said, ‘Are you amazed at Allah’s dispensation? [That is] Allah’s mercy and His blessings upon you, members of the household. Indeed He is all-laudable, all-glorious.’
11:74
فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّوْعُ وَجَاءَتْهُ الْبُشْرَىٰ يُجَادِلُنَا فِي قَوْمِ لُوطٍ
*Basi khofu ilipo mwondoka Ibrahim, na ikawa ile bishara imemfikia, alianza kujadiliana nasi juu ya kaumu ya Lut´.
*So when the awe had left Abraham and the good news had reached him, he pleaded with Us concerning the people of Lot.
11:75
إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَحَلِيمٌ أَوَّاهٌ مُنِيبٌ
*Hakika Ibrahim alikuwa mpole, ana huruma, na mwepesi wa kurejea kwa Mwenyezi Mungu.
*Abraham was indeed most forbearing, plaintive, [and] penitent.
11:76
يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَعْرِضْ عَنْ هَٰذَا ۖ إِنَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَإِنَّهُمْ آتِيهِمْ عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُودٍ
*(Akaambiwa): Ewe Ibrahim! Wachilia mbali haya! Kwa hakika amri ya Mola wako Mlezi imekwisha kuja, na hakika hao itawafikia adhabu isiyo rudi nyuma.
*‘O Abraham, let this matter alone! Your Lord’s edict has certainly come, and an irrevocable punishment shall overtake them.’
11:77
وَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيبٌ
*Na wajumbe wetu walipo kuja kwa Lut´ aliwahuzunukia na akawaonea dhiki. Akasema: Hii leo ni siku ngumu!
*When Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed on their account and in a predicament for their sake, and he said, ‘This is a terrible day!’
11:78
وَجَاءَهُ قَوْمُهُ يُهْرَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَمِنْ قَبْلُ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ۚ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ هَٰؤُلَاءِ بَنَاتِي هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ فِي ضَيْفِي ۖ أَلَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَشِيدٌ
*Wakamjia kaumu yake mbio mbio. Na kabla ya haya walikuwa wakitenda maovu. Yeye akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Hawa binti zangu, ndio wametakasika zaidi kwenu. Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, wala msinihizi mbele ya wageni wangu. Hivyo, hamna hata mtu mmoja miongoni mwenu aliye ongoka?
*Then his people came running toward him, and they had been committing vices aforetime. He said, ‘O my people, these are my daughters: they are purer for you. Be wary of Allah and do not humiliate me with regard to my guests. Is there not a right-minded man among you?’
11:79
قَالُوا لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِي بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ
*Wakasema: Bila shaka umekwisha jua hatuna haki juu ya binti zako, na unayajua tunayo yataka.
*They said, ‘You certainly know that we have no interest in your daughters, and indeed you know what we want.’
11:80
قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ
*Akasema: Laiti ningeli kuwa na nguvu kwenu, au nategemea kwenye nguzo yenye nguvu!
*He said, ‘If only I had the power to deter you, or could take refuge in a mighty support!’
11:81
قَالُوا يَا لُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَنْ يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكَ ۖ فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَكَ ۖ إِنَّهُ مُصِيبُهَا مَا أَصَابَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ الصُّبْحُ ۚ أَلَيْسَ الصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيبٍ
*(Wajumbe) wakasema: Ewe Lut´! Sisi ni wajumbe wa Mola wako Mlezi. Hawa hawatakufikia. Na wewe ondoka pamoja na ahali zako usiku ungalipo. Wala yeyote miongoni mwenu asitazame nyuma, isipo kuwa mkeo, kwani yeye utamfika msiba utakao wafika hao. Hakika miadi yao ni asubuhi. Je, asubuhi si karibu?
*They said, ‘O Lot, we are messengers of your Lord. They will never get at you. Set out with your family in a watch of the night; and none of you shall turn round, except your wife; indeed she will be struck by what strikes them. Indeed their tryst is the dawn. Is not the dawn [already] near?’
11:82
فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ مَنْضُودٍ
*Basi ilipo fika amri yetu tuliigeuza nchi juu chini, na tukawateremshia mvua ya changarawe za udongo mgumu ulio kamatana wa Motoni,
*So when Our edict came, We made its topmost part its nethermost, and We rained on it stones of laminar shale,
11:83
مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَمَا هِيَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ بِبَعِيدٍ
*Zilizo tiwa alama kwa Mola wako Mlezi. Na haya hayako mbali na wenye kudhulumu wengineo.
*sent in from your Lord [for the profligate], never far from the wrongdoers.
11:84
وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا ۚ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ وَلَا تَنْقُصُوا الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ ۚ إِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ بِخَيْرٍ وَإِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ مُحِيطٍ
*Na kwa watu wa Madyana tuliwatumia ndugu yao Shua´ib. Akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Muabuduni Mwenyezi Mungu. Nyinyi hamna Mungu ila Yeye, wala msipunguze vipimo na mizani. Mimi nakuoneni mmo katika hali njema, nami nakukhofieni adhabu ya Siku kubwa hiyo itakayo kuzungukeni.
*And to Midian [We sent] Shu‘ayb, their brother. He said, ‘O my people! Worship Allah. You have no other god besides Him. Do not diminish the measure or the balance. Indeed I see that you are faring well, but I fear for you the punishment of an all-embracing day.’
11:85
وَيَا قَوْمِ أَوْفُوا الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
*Na enyi watu wangu! Timizeni vipimo na mizani kwa uadilifu wala msiwakhini watu vitu vyao; wala msieneze uovu katika nchi mkafanya uharibifu.
*‘O my people! Observe fully the measure and the balance, with justice, and do not cheat the people of their goods, and do not act wickedly on the earth, causing corruption.’
11:86
بَقِيَّتُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ ۚ وَمَا أَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ بِحَفِيظٍ
*Alivyo kubakishieni Mwenyezi Mungu ndiyo bora kwa ajili yenu, ikiwa nyinyi ni Waumini. Wala mimi siye mlinzi wenu.
*‘What remains of Allah’s provision is better for you, should you be faithful, and I am not a keeper over you.’
11:87
قَالُوا يَا شُعَيْبُ أَصَلَاتُكَ تَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ نَتْرُكَ مَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا أَوْ أَنْ نَفْعَلَ فِي أَمْوَالِنَا مَا نَشَاءُ ۖ إِنَّكَ لَأَنْتَ الْحَلِيمُ الرَّشِيدُ
*Wakasema: Ewe Shua´ibu! Ni sala zako ndizo zinazo kuamrisha tuyaache waliyo kuwa wakiyaabudu baba zetu, au tuache kufanya tupendavyo katika mali zetu? Ama hakika wewe ni mstahamilivu kweli na mwongofu!
*They said, ‘O Shu‘ayb, does your worship require that we abandon what our fathers have been worshiping, or that we should not do with our wealth whatever we wish? You are indeed [a] gentle and sensible [person].’
11:88
قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّي وَرَزَقَنِي مِنْهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنًا ۚ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُخَالِفَكُمْ إِلَىٰ مَا أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ ۚ إِنْ أُرِيدُ إِلَّا الْإِصْلَاحَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ ۚ وَمَا تَوْفِيقِي إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ۚ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ
*Akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Mwaonaje ikiwa ninayo dalili wazi inayo tokana na Mola wangu Mlezi, na ikawa Yeye ameniruzuku riziki njema kutoka kwake? Wala mimi sipendi kukukhalifuni nikafanya yale ninayo kukatazeni. Sitaki ila kutengeneza kiasi ninavyo weza. Na sipati kuwezeshwa haya ila na Mwenyezi Mungu. Kwake Yeye ninategemea, na kwake Yeye naelekea.
*He said, ‘O my people! Have you considered, should I stand on a manifest proof from my Lord, who has provided me a good provision from Himself? I do not wish to oppose you by what I forbid you. I only desire to put things in order, as far as I can, and my success lies only with Allah: in Him I have put my trust, and to Him I turn penitently.
11:89
وَيَا قَوْمِ لَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شِقَاقِي أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَ قَوْمَ نُوحٍ أَوْ قَوْمَ هُودٍ أَوْ قَوْمَ صَالِحٍ ۚ وَمَا قَوْمُ لُوطٍ مِنْكُمْ بِبَعِيدٍ
*Na enyi watu wangu! Kukhalifiana nami kusikupelekeeni hata mkasibiwa kama walivyo sibiwa watu wa Nuhu, au watu wa Hud, au watu wa Saleh. Na watu wa Lut´ si mbali nanyi.
*O my people, do not let your defiance toward me lead you to be visited by the like of what was visited on the people of Noah, or the people of Hud, or the people of Salih, and the people of Lot are not distant from you.
11:90
وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي رَحِيمٌ وَدُودٌ
*Na ombeni msamaha kwa Mola wenu Mlezi, tena tubuni kwake. Hakika Mola wangu Mlezi ni Mwenye kurehemu na Mwenye upendo.
*Plead with your Lord for forgiveness, then turn to Him penitently. My Lord is indeed all-merciful, all-affectionate.’
11:91
قَالُوا يَا شُعَيْبُ مَا نَفْقَهُ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَاكَ فِينَا ضَعِيفًا ۖ وَلَوْلَا رَهْطُكَ لَرَجَمْنَاكَ ۖ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْنَا بِعَزِيزٍ
*Wakasema: Ewe Shua´ibu! Mengi katika hayo unayo yasema hatuyafahamu. Na sisi tunakuona huna nguvu kwetu. Lau kuwa si jamaa zako tunge kupiga mawe, wala wewe si mtukufu kwetu.
*They said, ‘O Shu‘ayb, we do not understand much of what you say. Indeed we see that you are weak amongst us, and were it not for your tribe, we would have stoned you, and you are not a formidable [challenge] for us.’
11:92
قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَهْطِي أَعَزُّ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُ وَرَاءَكُمْ ظِهْرِيًّا ۖ إِنَّ رَبِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ
*Akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Kwani jamaa zangu ni watukufu zaidi kwenu kuliko Mwenyezi Mungu? Na Yeye mmemueka nyuma ya migongo yenu! Hakika Mola wangu Mlezi ni Mwenye kuyazunguka yote mnayo yatenda.
*He said, ‘O my people! Is my tribe more formidable in your sight than Allah, to whom you pay no regard? Indeed my Lord comprehends whatever you do.
11:93
وَيَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ ۖ سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ وَمَنْ هُوَ كَاذِبٌ ۖ وَارْتَقِبُوا إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ رَقِيبٌ
*Na enyi watu wangu! Fanyeni mwezayo, na mimi pia ninafanya. Karibuni mtajua ni nani itakaye mfikia adhabu ya kumhizi, na nani aliye mwongo. Na ngojeni, mimi pia ninangoja pamoja nanyi.
*O my people! Act according to your ability; I too am acting. Soon you will know who will be overtaken by a punishment that will disgrace him, and who is a liar. So be on the watch; I too will be watching along with you.’
11:94
وَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا شُعَيْبًا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنَّا وَأَخَذَتِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا الصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي دِيَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
*Na ilipo fika amri yetu, tulimwokoa Shua´ibu na wale walio amini pamoja naye kwa rehema yetu. Na ukelele uliwanyakua walio dhulumu, na wakapambaukiwa majumbani mwao wamekufa kifudifudi!
*When Our edict came, We delivered Shu‘ayb and the faithful who were with him by a mercy from Us. And the Cry seized those who were wrongdoers, whereat they lay lifeless prostrate in their homes,
11:95
كَأَنْ لَمْ يَغْنَوْا فِيهَا ۗ أَلَا بُعْدًا لِمَدْيَنَ كَمَا بَعِدَتْ ثَمُودُ
*Kama kwamba hawakuwamo humo. Zingatia walivyo angamia watu wa Madyana, kama walivyo angamia watu wa Thamud!
*as if they had never lived there. Behold, away with Midian!—just as Thamud was done away with!
11:96
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ
*Na hakika tulimtuma Musa pamoja na Ishara zetu na uthibitisho ulio wazi
*Certainly We sent Moses with Our signs and a manifest authority
11:97
إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَاتَّبَعُوا أَمْرَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۖ وَمَا أَمْرُ فِرْعَوْنَ بِرَشِيدٍ
*Kwa Firauni na waheshimiwa wake. Lakini wao walifuata amri ya Firauni, na amri ya Firauni haikuwa yenye uwongofu.
*to Pharaoh and his elite, but they followed Pharaoh’s dictates, and Pharaoh’s dictates were not right-minded.
11:98
يَقْدُمُ قَوْمَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَأَوْرَدَهُمُ النَّارَ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْوِرْدُ الْمَوْرُودُ
*Siku ya Kiyama atawatangulia watu wake na atawaingiza Motoni. Na muingio muovu ulioje huo!
*On the Day of Resurrection he will lead his people and conduct them into the Fire: an evil goal for the incoming!
11:99
وَأُتْبِعُوا فِي هَٰذِهِ لَعْنَةً وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ بِئْسَ الرِّفْدُ الْمَرْفُودُ
*Nao wamefuatishiwa laana hapa duniani na Siku ya Kiyama. Ni mabaya yalioje watakayo pewa!
*They are pursued by a curse in this [world], as well as on the Day of Resurrection; evil is the award conferred [upon them]!
11:100
ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ الْقُرَىٰ نَقُصُّهُ عَلَيْكَ ۖ مِنْهَا قَائِمٌ وَحَصِيدٌ
*Hizi ni katika khabari za miji, tunakusimulia. Mingine ipo bado na mingine imefyekwa.
*These are from the accounts of the townships, which We recount to you. Of them, there are some that still stand, and some that have been mown down.
11:101
وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ ۖ فَمَا أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ آلِهَتُهُمُ الَّتِي يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ لَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَمَا زَادُوهُمْ غَيْرَ تَتْبِيبٍ
*Na Sisi hatukuwadhulumu, lakini wao wenyewe wamejidhulumu. Na miungu yao waliyo kuwa wakiiomba badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu haikuwafaa kitu ilipo kuja amri ya Mola wako Mlezi. Na hiyo miungu haikuwazidishia ila maangamizo tu.
*We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. When your Lord’s edict came, their gods whom they would invoke besides Allah were of no avail to them in any wise, and they did not increase them in anything but ruin.
11:102
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَىٰ وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ۚ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ
*Na ndio kama hivyo ndivyo inavyo kuwa Mola wako Mlezi anapo ikamata miji inapo kuwa imedhulumu. Hakika mkamato wake ni mchungu na mkali.
*Such is the seizing of your Lord when He seizes the townships that are wrongdoing. Indeed His seizing is painful and severe.
11:103
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِمَنْ خَافَ عَذَابَ الْآخِرَةِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمٌ مَجْمُوعٌ لَهُ النَّاسُ وَذَٰلِكَ يَوْمٌ مَشْهُودٌ
*Hakika katika haya ipo ishara kwa yule anaye ogopa adhabu ya Akhera. Hiyo ndiyo Siku itakayo kusanyiwa watu, na hiyo ndiyo Siku itakayo shuhudiwa.
*There is indeed a sign in that for those who fear the punishment of the Hereafter. That is a day on which all mankind will be gathered, and it is a day witnessed [by all creatures].
11:104
وَمَا نُؤَخِّرُهُ إِلَّا لِأَجَلٍ مَعْدُودٍ
*Na Sisi hatuiakhirishi ila kwa muda unao hisabiwa.
*And We do not defer it but for a determinate term.
11:105
يَوْمَ يَأْتِ لَا تَكَلَّمُ نَفْسٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ فَمِنْهُمْ شَقِيٌّ وَسَعِيدٌ
*Siku hiyo itakapo fika, hatosema hata mtu mmoja ila kwa idhini yake Mwenyezi Mungu. Kati yao watakuwamo waliomo mashakani na wenye furaha.
*The day it comes, no one shall speak except by His leave. [On that day,] some of them will be wretched and [some] felicitous.
11:106
فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ شَقُوا فَفِي النَّارِ لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيرٌ وَشَهِيقٌ
*Ama wale wa mashakani hao watakuwamo Motoni wakiyayayatika na kukoroma.
*As for the wretched, they shall be in the Fire: their lot therein will be groaning and wailing.
11:107
خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ رَبُّكَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ فَعَّالٌ لِمَا يُرِيدُ
*Watadumu humo muda wa kudumu mbingu na ardhi, isipo kuwa apendavyo Mola wako Mlezi. Hakika Mola wako Mlezi hutenda apendavyo.
*They shall remain in it for as long as the heavens and the earth endure—except what your Lord may wish; indeed your Lord does whatever He desires.
11:108
وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ سُعِدُوا فَفِي الْجَنَّةِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ رَبُّكَ ۖ عَطَاءً غَيْرَ مَجْذُوذٍ
*Na ama wale walio bahatika, wao watakuwamo Peponi wakidumu humo muda wa kudumu mbingu na ardhi, isipo kuwa apendavyo Mola wako Mlezi. Hicho ni kipawa kisio na ukomo.
*As for the felicitous, they will be in paradise. They will remain in it for as long as the heavens and the earth endure—except what your Lord may wish—an endless bounty.
11:109
فَلَا تَكُ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِمَّا يَعْبُدُ هَٰؤُلَاءِ ۚ مَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُهُمْ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ وَإِنَّا لَمُوَفُّوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ غَيْرَ مَنْقُوصٍ
*Basi usiwe na shaka juu ya wanayo yaabudu hao. Hawaabudu ila kama walivyo abudu baba zao zamani. Na hakika Sisi tutawatimilizia fungu lao bila ya kupunguzwa.
*So do not be in doubt about what these worship: they worship just as their fathers worshiped before, and We shall surely pay them their full share, undiminished.
11:110
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مُرِيبٍ
*Na kwa yakini tulimpa Musa Kitabu; zikazuka khitilafu ndani yake. Na lau kuwa si neno lilio kwisha tangulia kutoka kwa Mola wako Mlezi, bila ya shaka ingeli hukumiwa baina yao. Na hakika wao wamo katika shaka juu yake inayo wahangaisha.
*Certainly We gave Moses the Book, but differences arose about it, and were it not for a prior decree of your Lord, a decision would have been made between them; indeed they are in grave doubt concerning it.
11:111
وَإِنَّ كُلًّا لَمَّا لَيُوَفِّيَنَّهُمْ رَبُّكَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ
*Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi atawatimilizia malipo ya vitendo vyao. Hakika Yeye anayo khabari ya wayatendayo.
*Your Lord will indeed recompense everyone fully for their works. Indeed, He is well aware of what they do.
11:112
فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ وَمَنْ تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا ۚ إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
*Basi, simama sawa sawa kama ulivyo amrishwa, wewe na wale wanao elekea kwa Mwenyezi Mungu pamoja nawe; wala msikiuke mipaka. Hakika Yeye anayaona yote myatendayo.
*So be steadfast, just as you have been commanded—[you] and whoever has turned [to Allah] with you—and do not overstep the bounds. Indeed, He watches what you do.
11:113
وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنْصَرُونَ
*Wala msiwategemee wanao dhulumu, usije ukakuguseni Moto. Wala nyinyi hamna walinzi badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu, wala tena hamtasaidiwa.
*Do not incline toward the wrongdoers, lest the Fire should touch you, and you will not have any friend besides Allah; then you will not be helped.
11:114
وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ۚ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ذِكْرَىٰ لِلذَّاكِرِينَ
*Na shika Sala katika ncha mbili za mchana na nyakati za usiku zilizo karibu na mchana. Hakika mema huondoa maovu. Huu ni ukumbusho kwa wanao kumbuka.
*Maintain the prayer at the two ends of the day, and during the early hours of the night. Indeed good deeds efface misdeeds. That is an admonition for the mindful.
11:115
وَاصْبِرْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
*Na subiri, kwani Mwenyezi Mungu hapotezi ujira wa wanao fanya wema.
*And be patient; indeed Allah does not waste the reward of the virtuous.
11:116
فَلَوْلَا كَانَ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ أُولُو بَقِيَّةٍ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْفَسَادِ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِمَّنْ أَنْجَيْنَا مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَاتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَا أُتْرِفُوا فِيهِ وَكَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ
*Basi mbona hawakuwamo katika watu wa kabla yenu wenye vyeo na wasaa wanao kataza uharibifu katika nchi, isipo kuwa wachache tu, ambao ndio tulio waokoa? Na walio dhulumu walifuata starehe zao, na wakawa ni wakosefu.
*Why were there not among the generations before you a remnant [of the wise] who might forbid corruption in the earth, except a few of those whom We delivered from among them? Those who were wrongdoers pursued that in which they had been granted affluence, and they were a guilty lot.
11:117
وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ
*Wala hakuwa Mola wako Mlezi wa kuihiliki miji kwa dhulma tu na hali watu wake ni watenda mema.
*Your Lord would never destroy the townships unjustly while their inhabitants were bringing about reform.
11:118
وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً ۖ وَلَا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ
*Na Mola wako Mlezi angeli penda ange wafanya watu wote wakawa umma mmoja. Lakini hawaachi kukhitalifiana,
*Had your Lord wished, He would have made mankind one community; but they continue to differ,
11:119
إِلَّا مَنْ رَحِمَ رَبُّكَ ۚ وَلِذَٰلِكَ خَلَقَهُمْ ۗ وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
*Isipo kuwa wale ambao Mola wako Mlezi amewarehemu; na kwa hiyo ndio Mwenyezi Mungu amewaumba. Na litatimia neno la Mola wako Mlezi: Kweli kweli nitaijaza Jahannam kwa majini na watu pamoja.
*except those on whom your Lord has mercy—and that is why He created them—and the word of your Lord has been fulfilled: ‘I will surely fill hell with jinn and humans, all together!’
11:120
وَكُلًّا نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ الرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ ۚ وَجَاءَكَ فِي هَٰذِهِ الْحَقُّ وَمَوْعِظَةٌ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Na yote tunayo kusimulia katika khabari za Mitume ni ya kukupa nguvu moyo wako. Na katika haya imekujia haki na mawaidha na ukumbusho kwa Waumini.
*Whatever We relate to you of the accounts of the apostles are those by which We strengthen your heart, and there has come to you in this [surah] the truth and an advice and admonition for the faithful.
11:121
وَقُلْ لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ اعْمَلُوا عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنَّا عَامِلُونَ
*Na waambie wale wasio amini: Fanyeni muwezavyo, nasi pia tunafanya.
*Say to those who do not have faith, ‘Act according to your ability; we too are acting.
11:122
وَانْتَظِرُوا إِنَّا مُنْتَظِرُونَ
*Na ngojeni, na sisi tunangoja.
*And wait! We too are waiting.’
11:123
وَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُ الْأَمْرُ كُلُّهُ فَاعْبُدْهُ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَيْهِ ۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
*Na ni vya Mwenyezi Mungu tu vyote vilivyo fichikana katika ardhi na mbingu, na mambo yote yatarejezwa kwake. Basi muabudu Yeye na umtegemee Yeye. Na Mola wako Mlezi haghafiliki na yale mnayo yatenda.
*To Allah belongs the Unseen of the heavens and the earth, and to Him all matters are returned. So worship Him and trust in Him. Your Lord is not oblivious of what you do.
