Sura 72 - Al-Jinn

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
72:1
قُلْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا
*Sema: Imefunuliwa kwangu ya kuwa kundi moja la majini lilisikiliza, na likasema: Hakika sisi tumeisikia Qur´ani ya ajabu!
*Say, ‘It has been revealed to me that a team of the jinn listened [to the Quran] and they said, “Indeed we heard a wonderful Quran,
72:2
يَهْدِي إِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِهِ ۖ وَلَنْ نُشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا
*Inaongoza kwenye uwongofu, kwa hivyo tumeiamini, wala hatutamshirikisha yeyote na Mola wetu Mlezi.
*which guides to rectitude. Hence, we have believed in it and we will never ascribe any partner to our Lord.
72:3
وَأَنَّهُ تَعَالَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا
*Na kwa hakika utukufu wa Mola wetu Mlezi umetukuka kabisa; hana mke wala mwana.
*Exalted be the majesty of our Lord; He has taken neither any spouse nor son.
72:4
وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ شَطَطًا
*Na kwa hakika wapumbavu miongoni mwetu walikuwa wakisema uwongo ulio pindukia mipaka juu ya Mwenyezi Mungu.
*The foolish ones among us used to speak atrocious lies concerning Allah.
72:5
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَنْ لَنْ تَقُولَ الْإِنْسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا
*Nasi tulidhani kuwa watu na majini hawamzulii uwongo Mwenyezi Mungu.
*We thought that humans and jinn would never utter any falsehood concerning Allah.
72:6
وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِنَ الْإِنْسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًا
*Na hakika walikuwako wanaume katika watu walio kuwa wakitafuta kujikinga kwa wanaume wa kijini; kwa hivyo wakawazidisha madhambi.
*Indeed some persons from the humans would seek the protection of some persons from the jinn, thus only adding to their rebellion.
72:7
وَأَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوا كَمَا ظَنَنْتُمْ أَنْ لَنْ يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ أَحَدًا
*Na kwa hakika wao walidhani, kama mlivyo dhani nyinyi, ya kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu hatamleta Mtume.
*They thought, just as you think, that Allah will not raise anyone from the dead.
72:8
وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَاءَ فَوَجَدْنَاهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيدًا وَشُهُبًا
*Nasi tulizigusa mbingu, na tukaziona zimejaa walinzi wenye nguvu na vimondo.
*Indeed we made for the heaven and found it full of mighty sentries and flames.
72:9
وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَاعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ ۖ فَمَنْ يَسْتَمِعِ الْآنَ يَجِدْ لَهُ شِهَابًا رَصَدًا
*Na hakika tulikuwa tukikaa humo katika baadhi ya makao ili kusikiliza; lakini sasa anaye taka kusikiliza atakuta kimondo kinamvizia!
*We used to sit in its positions to eavesdrop, but anyone listening now finds a flame waiting for him.
72:10
وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِي أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًا
*Nasi hatujui kama wanatakiwa shari wale wanao kaa kwenye ardhi au Mola wao Mlezi anawatakia uwongofu.
*We do not know whether ill is intended for those who are on the earth, or whether their Lord intends good for them.
72:11
وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ كُنَّا طَرَائِقَ قِدَدًا
*Na hakika katika sisi wamo walio wema, na wengine wetu ni kinyume na hivyo. Tumekuwa njia mbali mbali.
*Among us some are righteous and some are otherwise: we are various sects.
72:12
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَنْ لَنْ نُعْجِزَ اللَّهَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَنْ نُعْجِزَهُ هَرَبًا
*Nasi tulijua kuwa hatutomshinda Mwenyezi Mungu duniani, wala hatuwezi kumponyoka kwa kukimbia.
*We know that we cannot frustrate Allah on the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by fleeing.
72:13
وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا الْهُدَىٰ آمَنَّا بِهِ ۖ فَمَنْ يُؤْمِنْ بِرَبِّهِ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْسًا وَلَا رَهَقًا
*Nasi tulipo usikia uwongofu tuliuamini. Basi mwenye kumuamini Mola wake Mlezi basi haogopi kupunjwa wala kudhulumiwa.
*When we heard the [message of] guidance, we believed in it. Whoever that has faith in his Lord will fear neither privation nor oppression.
72:14
وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ ۖ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا
*Na hakika wamo katika sisi Waislamu, na wamo kati yetu wanao acha haki. Basi walio silimu, hao ndio walio tafuta uwongofu.
*Among us some are Muslims and some of us are perverse.” ’ Those who submit [to Allah]—it is they who pursue rectitude.
72:15
وَأَمَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا
*Na ama wanao acha haki, hao watakuwa kuni za Jahannamu.
*As for the perverse, they will be firewood for hell.
72:16
وَأَنْ لَوِ اسْتَقَامُوا عَلَى الطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَاهُمْ مَاءً غَدَقًا
*Na lau kama wangeli simama sawasawa juu ya njia tungeli wanywesha maji kwa wingi,
*If they are steadfast on the path [of Allah], We shall provide them with abundant water,
72:17
لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُعْرِضْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِ يَسْلُكْهُ عَذَابًا صَعَدًا
*Ili tuwajaribu kwa hayo. Na anaye puuza kumkumbuka Mola wake Mlezi atamsukuma kwenye adhabu ngumu.
*so that We may test them therein, and whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will let him into an escalating punishment.
72:18
وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا
*Na hakika misikiti ni ya Mwenyezi Mungu, basi msimuabudu yeyote pamoja na Mwenyezi Mungu.
*The places of worship belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone along with Allah.
72:19
وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا
*Na hakika Mja wa Mwenyezi Mungu alipo simama kumwomba, wao walikuwa karibu kumzonga!
*When the servant of Allah rose to pray to Him, they almost crowded around him.
72:20
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَدْعُو رَبِّي وَلَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ أَحَدًا
*Sema: Hakika mimi namwomba Mola wangu Mlezi, wala simshirikishi Yeye na yeyote.
*Say, ‘I pray only to my Lord, and I do not ascribe any partner to Him.’
72:21
قُلْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا رَشَدًا
*Sema: Mimi sina mamlaka ya kukudhuruni wala kukuongozeni.
*Say, ‘I have no power to bring you any harm or good [of my own accord].’
72:22
قُلْ إِنِّي لَنْ يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِنْ دُونِهِ مُلْتَحَدًا
*Sema: Hakika hapana yeyote awezae kunilinda na Mwenyezi Mungu, wala sitapata pa kukimbilia isipo kuwa kwake Yeye tu.
*Say, ‘Neither can anyone shelter me from Allah, nor can I find any refuge besides Him.
72:23
إِلَّا بَلَاغًا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِسَالَاتِهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا
*Ila nifikishe Ujumbe utokao kwa Mwenyezi Mungu na risala zake. Na wenye kumuasi Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, basi hakika hao watapata Moto wa Jahannamu wadumu humo milele.
*[I have no duty] except to transmit from Allah, and [to communicate] His messages; and whoever disobeys Allah and His apostle, there will indeed be for him the fire of hell, to remain in it forever.’
72:24
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدًا
*Hata watakapo yaona wanayo ahidiwa, ndipo watakapo jua ni nani mwenye msaidizi dhaifu, na mchache wa idadi.
*When they see what they are promised, they will know who is weaker in supporters and fewer in numbers.
72:25
قُلْ إِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ مَا تُوعَدُونَ أَمْ يَجْعَلُ لَهُ رَبِّي أَمَدًا
*Sema: Sijui kama yapo karibu hayo mnayo ahidiwa, au Mola wangu Mlezi atayawekea muda mrefu.
*Say, ‘I do not know if what you are promised is near, or if my Lord has set a [long] term for it.’
72:26
عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيْبِهِ أَحَدًا
*Yeye ndiye Mwenye kujua ya siri, wala hamdhihirishii yeyote siri yake,
*Knower of the Unseen, He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] Unseen to anyone,
72:27
إِلَّا مَنِ ارْتَضَىٰ مِنْ رَسُولٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَسْلُكُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ رَصَدًا
*Isipo kuwa Mtume wake aliye mridhia. Naye huyo humwekea walinzi mbele yake na nyuma yake.
*except to an apostle He approves of. Then He dispatches a sentinel before and behind him
72:28
لِيَعْلَمَ أَنْ قَدْ أَبْلَغُوا رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ وَأَحْصَىٰ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عَدَدًا
*Ili Yeye ajue kwamba wao wamefikisha ujumbe wa Mola wao Mlezi, na Yeye anayajua vyema yote walio nayo, na amedhibiti idadi ya kila kitu.
*so that He may ascertain that they have communicated the messages of their Lord, and He encompasses all that is with them, and He keeps an count of all things.
