Sura 88 - Al-Ghaashiya

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
88:1
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ
*Je! Imekufikia khabari ya msiba wa kufudikiza?
*Did you receive the account of the Enveloper?
88:2
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ
*Siku hiyo nyuso zitainama,
*Some faces on that day will be humbled,
88:3
عَامِلَةٌ نَاصِبَةٌ
*Zikifanya kazi, nazo taabani.
*wrought-up and weary:
88:4
تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً
*Ziingie katika Moto unao waka -
*they will enter a scorching fire
88:5
تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ آنِيَةٍ
*Zikinyweshwa kutoka chemchem inayo chemka.
*and made to drink from a boiling spring.
88:6
لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِيعٍ
*Hawatakuwa na chakula isipo kuwa kichungu chenye miba.
*They will have no food except cactus,
88:7
لَا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنْ جُوعٍ
*Hakinenepeshi wala hakiondoi njaa.
*neither nourishing, nor of avail against hunger.
88:8
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ
*Siku hiyo nyuso nyengine zitakuwa kunjufu.
*Some faces on that day will be joyous,
88:9
لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ
*Zitakuwa radhi kwa juhudi yao,
*pleased with their endeavour,
88:10
فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ
*Katika Bustani ya juu.
*in a lofty garden,
88:11
لَا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَاغِيَةً
*Hawatasikia humo upuuzi.
*where they will not hear any vain talk.
88:12
فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ
*Humo imo chemchem inayo miminika.
*In it is a flowing spring
88:13
فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ
*Humo vimo viti vilivyo nyanyuliwa,
*and raised couches,
88:14
وَأَكْوَابٌ مَوْضُوعَةٌ
*Na bilauri zilizo pangwa,
*with goblets set,
88:15
وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ
*Na matakia safu safu,
*and cushions laid out in an array,
88:16
وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ
*Na mazulia yaliyo tandikwa.
*and carpets spread out.
88:17
أَفَلَا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى الْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ
*Je! Hawamtazami ngamia jinsi alivyo umbwa?
*Do they not observe the camel, [to see] how it has been created?
88:18
وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ
*Na mbingu jinsi ilivyo inuliwa?
*and the sky, how it has been raised?
88:19
وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ
*Na milima jinsi ilivyo thibitishwa?
*and the mountains, how they have been set?
88:20
وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ
*Na ardhi jinsi ilivyo tandazwa?
*and the earth, how it has been surfaced?
88:21
فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ
*Basi kumbusha! Hakika wewe ni Mkumbushaji.
*So admonish—for you are only an admonisher,
88:22
لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُصَيْطِرٍ
*Wewe si mwenye kuwatawalia.
*and not a taskmaster over them—
88:23
إِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ
*Lakini anaye rudi nyuma na kukataa,
*except him who turns back and disbelieves.
88:24
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الْأَكْبَرَ
*Basi Mwenyezi Mungu atamuadhibu kwa adhabu iliyo kubwa kabisa!
*Him Allah will punish with the greatest punishment.
88:25
إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ
*Hakika ni kwetu Sisi ndio marejeo yao.
*Indeed to Us will be their return.
88:26
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ
*Kisha hakika ni juu yetu Sisi hisabu yao!
*Then, indeed, their reckoning will lie with Us.
