Sura 92 - Al-Lail

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
92:1
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
*Naapa kwa usiku unapo funika!
*By the night when it envelops,
92:2
وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ
*Na mchana unapo dhihiri!
*by the day when it brightens,
92:3
وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَىٰ
*Na kwa Aliye umba dume na jike!
*by Him who created the male and the female:
92:4
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ
*Hakika juhudi zenu bila ya shaka ni mbali mbali.
*your endeavours are indeed diverse.
92:5
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَاتَّقَىٰ
*Ama mwenye kutoa na akamchamngu,
*As for him who gives and is Godwary
92:6
وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ
*Na akaliwafiki lilio jema,
*and confirms the best promise,
92:7
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
*Tutamsahilishia yawe mepesi.
*We will surely ease him toward facility.
92:8
وَأَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَىٰ
*Na ama mwenye kufanya ubakhili, na asiwe na haja ya wenzake,
*But as for him, who is stingy and self-complacent,
92:9
وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ
*Na akakanusha lilio jema,
*and denies the best promise,
92:10
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ
*Tutamsahilishia yawe mazito!
*We will surely ease him toward hardship.
92:11
وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰ
*Na mali yake yatamfaa nini atapo kuwa anadidimia?
*His wealth will not avail him when he perishes.
92:12
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ
*Hakika ni juu yetu kuonyesha uwongofu.
*Indeed guidance rests with Us,
92:13
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَىٰ
*Na hakika ni yetu Sisi Akhera na dunia.
*and to Us belong the world and the Hereafter.
92:14
فَأَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ
*Basi nakuonyeni na Moto unao waka!
*So I warn you of a blazing fire,
92:15
لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى
*Hatauingia ila mwovu kabisa!
*which none shall enter except the most wretched [of persons]
92:16
الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
*Anaye kadhibisha na kupa mgongo.
*—he who impugns [God’s prophets] and turns his back.
92:17
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَى
*Na mchamngu ataepushwa nao,
*The Godwary [person] will be spared of that
92:18
الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّىٰ
*Ambaye hutoa mali yake kwa ajili ya kujitakasa.
*—he who gives his wealth to purify himself
92:19
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰ
*Na wala si kwa kuwa yupo yeyote aliye mfanyia hisani ndio anamlipa.
*and does not expect any reward from anyone,
92:20
إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَىٰ
*Ila ni kutaka radhi ya Mola wake Mlezi aliye juu kabisa.
*but seek only the pleasure of their Lord, the Most Exalted,
92:21
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ
*Naye atakuja ridhika!
*and, surely, soon they will be well-pleased.
