Sura 37 - As-Saaffaat

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
37:1
وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا
*Naapa kwa wanao jipanga kwa safu.
*By the [angels] ranged in ranks,
37:2
فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرًا
*Na kwa wenye kukataza mabaya.
*by the ones who drive [the clouds] vigorously,
37:3
فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
*Na kwa wenye kusoma Ukumbusho.
*by the ones who recite the reminder:
37:4
إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ
*Hakika Mungu wenu bila ya shaka ni Mmoja.
*indeed your God is certainly One,
37:5
رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ
*Mola Mlezi wa mbingu na ardhi, na yaliyomo kati yao, na ni Mola Mlezi wa mashariki zote.
*the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and the Lord of the easts.
37:6
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ
*Hakika Sisi tumeipamba mbingu ya karibu kwa pambo la nyota.
*Indeed We have adorned the lowest heaven with the finery of the stars,
37:7
وَحِفْظًا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَارِدٍ
*Na kulinda na kila shet´ani a´si.
*and to guard from any froward devil.
37:8
لَا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبٍ
*Wasiweze kuwasikiliza viumbe watukufu. Na wanafukuzwa huko kila upande.
*They do not eavesdrop on the Supernal Elite—they are shot at from every side,
37:9
دُحُورًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ
*Wakifurushwa. Na wanayo adhabu ya kudumu.
*to drive them away, and there is a perpetual punishment for them—
37:10
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ
*Isipo kuwa anaye nyakua kitu kidogo, na mara humfwatia kimondo kinacho ng´ara.
*except any who snatches a snatch, whereat a piercing flame pursues him.
37:11
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمْ مَنْ خَلَقْنَا ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِنْ طِينٍ لَازِبٍ
*Hebu waulize: Je! Wao ni wenye umbo gumu zaidi au hao wengine tulio waumba. Hakika Sisi tuliwaumba wao kwa udongo unao nata.
*Ask them, is their creation more prodigious or [that of other creatures] that We have created? Indeed, We created them from a viscous clay.
37:12
بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ
*Bali unastaajabu, na wao wanafanya maskhara.
*Indeed you wonder, while they engage in ridicule,
37:13
وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ
*Na wanapo kumbushwa hawakumbuki.
*and [even] when admonished do not take admonition,
37:14
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ
*Na wanapo ona Ishara, wanafanya maskhara.
*and when they see a sign they make it an object of ridicule,
37:15
وَقَالُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ
*Na husema: Haya si chochote ila ni uchawi tu ulio dhaahiri.
*and say, ‘This is nothing but plain magic!’
37:16
أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
*Ati tukisha kufa na tukawa udongo na mifupa ndio kweli tutafufuliwa?
*‘What! When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected?
37:17
أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ
*Hata baba zetu wa zamani?
*And our forefathers too?!’
37:18
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنْتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ
*Sema: Naam! Hali nanyi ni madhalili.
*Say, ‘Yes! And you will be utterly humble.’
37:19
فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ
*Huko utapigwa ukelele mmoja tu! Na hapo ndio wataona!
*It will be only a single shout and, behold, they will look on,
37:20
وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
*Watasema: Ole wetu! Hii ndiyo Siku ya Malipo.
*and say, ‘Woe to us! This is the Day of Retribution!’
37:21
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
*Hii ndiyo Siku ya Hukumu mliyo kuwa mkiikadhibisha.
*‘This is the Day of Judgement that you used to deny!’
37:22
احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ
*Wakusanyeni walio dhulumu, na wake zao, na hao walio kuwa wakiwaabudu -
*‘Muster the wrongdoers and their mates and what they used to worship
37:23
مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَاهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْجَحِيمِ
*Badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Waongozeni njia ya Jahannamu!
*besides Allah, and show them the way to hell!
37:24
وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ مَسْئُولُونَ
*Na wasimamisheni. Hakika hao watasailiwa:
*[But first] stop them! For they must be questioned.’
37:25
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ
*Mna nini? Mbona hamsaidiani?
*‘Why is it that you do not support one another [today]?’
37:26
بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ
*Bali hii leo, watasalimu amri.
*‘Indeed, they are [meek and] submissive today!’
37:27
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
*Watakabiliana wao kwa wao kuulizana.
*Some of them will turn to others, questioning each other.
37:28
قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ
*Watasema: Kwa hakika nyinyi mlikuwa mkitujia upande wa kulia.
*They will say, ‘Indeed you used to accost us peremptorily.’
37:29
قَالُوا بَلْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Watasema (wakubwa): Bali nyinyi wenyewe hamkuwa Waumini.
*They will answer, ‘No, you [yourselves] had no faith.
37:30
وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ ۖ بَلْ كُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ
*Sisi hatukuwa na mamlaka juu yenu, bali nyinyi wenyewe mlikuwa wapotovu.
*We had no authority over you. No, you [yourselves] were a rebellious lot.
37:31
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَا ۖ إِنَّا لَذَائِقُونَ
*Basi hukumu ya Mola wetu Mlezi imekwisha tuthibitikia. Hakika bila ya shaka tutaonja tu adhabu.
*So our Lord’s word became due against us that we shall indeed taste [the punishment].
37:32
فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ
*Tulikupotezeni kwa sababu sisi wenyewe tulikuwa wapotovu.
*So we perverted you, for we were perverse [ourselves].’
37:33
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
*Basi wao kwa hakika siku hiyo watashirikiana katika adhabu pamoja.
*So, that day they will share the punishment.
37:34
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
*Hivyo ndivyo tutakavyo wafanyia wakosefu.
*Indeed, that is how We deal with the guilty.
37:35
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
*Wao walipo kuwa wakiambiwa La ilaha illa ´Llahu Hapana mungu ila Mwenyezi Mungu tu, wakijivuna.
*Indeed, it was they who, when they were told, ‘There is no god except Allah,’ used to be disdainful,
37:36
وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُو آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَجْنُونٍ
*Na wakisema: Hivyo sisi tuiache miungu yetu kwa ajili ya huyu mtunga mashairi mwendawazimu?
*and [they would] say, ‘Shall we abandon our gods for a crazy poet?’
37:37
بَلْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Bali huyu amekuja kwa Haki, na amewasadikisha Mitume.
*Indeed, he has brought [them] the truth, and confirmed the [earlier] apostles.
37:38
إِنَّكُمْ لَذَائِقُو الْعَذَابِ الْأَلِيمِ
*Hakika nyinyi bila ya shaka mtaionja adhabu chungu.
*Indeed you will taste the painful punishment,
37:39
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
*Wala hamlipwi ila hayo mliyo kuwa mkiyafanya.
*and you will be requited only for what you used to do
37:40
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
*Isipo kuwa waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu walio khitariwa.
*—[all] except Allah’s exclusive servants.
37:41
أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَعْلُومٌ
*Hao ndio watakao pata riziki maalumu,
*For such there is a known provision
37:42
فَوَاكِهُ ۖ وَهُمْ مُكْرَمُونَ
*Matunda, nao watahishimiwa.
*—fruits—and they will be held in honour,
37:43
فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ
*Katika Bustani za neema.
*in the gardens of bliss,
37:44
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ
*Wako juu ya viti wamekabiliana.
*[reclining] on couches, facing one another,
37:45
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ
*Wanazungushiwa kikombe chenye kinywaji cha chemchem
*served around with a cup, from a clear fountain,
37:46
بَيْضَاءَ لَذَّةٍ لِلشَّارِبِينَ
*Kinywaji cheupe, kitamu kwa wanywao.
*snow-white, delicious to the drinkers,
37:47
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنْزَفُونَ
*Hakina madhara, wala hakiwaleweshi.
*wherein there will be neither headache nor will it cause them stupefaction,
37:48
وَعِنْدَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ عِينٌ
*Na watakuwa nao wanawake wenye macho ya staha mazuri.
*and with them will be maidens, of restrained glances with big [beautiful] eyes,
37:49
كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَكْنُونٌ
*Hao wanawake kama mayai yaliyo hifadhika.
*as if they were hidden ostrich eggs.
37:50
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
*Waingie kuulizana wenyewe kwa wenyewe.
*Some of them will turn to others, questioning each other.
37:51
قَالَ قَائِلٌ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٌ
*Aseme msemaji mmoja miongoni mwao: Hakika mimi nalikuwa na rafiki
*One of them will say, ‘Indeed I had a companion
37:52
يَقُولُ أَإِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ
*Aliye kuwa akinambia: Hivyo wewe ni katika wanao sadiki
*who used to say, ‘‘Are you really among those who affirm
37:53
أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ
*Ati tukisha kufa tukawa udongo na mafupa, ndio tutalipwa na kuhisabiwa?
*that when we have died and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to retribution?’’ ’
37:54
قَالَ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُطَّلِعُونَ
*Atasema: Je! Nyie mnawaona?
*He will say, ‘Will you have a look?’
37:55
فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَآهُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ
*Basi atachungulia amwone katikati ya Jahannamu.
*Then he will take a look and sight him in the middle of hell.
37:56
قَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كِدْتَ لَتُرْدِينِ
*Atasema: Wallahi! Ulikaribia kunipoteza.
*He will say, ‘By Allah, you had almost ruined me!
37:57
وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنْتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ
*Na lau kuwa si neema ya Mola wangu Mlezi bila ya shaka ningeli kuwa miongoni mwa walio hudhurishwa.
*Had it not been for my Lord’s blessing, I too would have been among those mustered [in hell]!’
37:58
أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ
*Je! Sisi hatutakufa,
*‘Is it [true] that we shall not die [anymore],
37:59
إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا الْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
*Isipo kuwa kifo chetu cha kwanza? Wala sisi hatutaadhibiwa.
*aside from our earlier death, and that we shall not be punished?
37:60
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
*Hakika huku bila ya shaka ndiko kufuzu kukubwa.
*This is indeed the supreme triumph!’
37:61
لِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ
*Kwa mfano wa haya nawatende watendao.
*Let all workers work for the like of this!
37:62
أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ
*Je! Kukaribishwa hivi si ndio bora, au mti wa Zaqqum?
*Is this a better reception, or the Zaqqum tree?
37:63
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهَا فِتْنَةً لِلظَّالِمِينَ
*Hakika Sisi tumeufanya huo kuwa ni mateso kwa walio dhulumu.
*Indeed We have made it a punishment for the wrongdoers.
37:64
إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِي أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ
*Hakika huo ni mti unao toka katikati ya Jahannamu.
*It is a tree that rises from the depths of hell.
37:65
طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُءُوسُ الشَّيَاطِينِ
*Mashada ya matunda yake kama kwamba vichwa vya mashet´ani.
*Its spathes are as if they were devils’ heads.
37:66
فَإِنَّهُمْ لَآكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ
*Basi hakika bila ya shaka hao watayala hayo, na wajaze matumbo.
*They will eat from it and gorge with it their bellies.
37:67
ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًا مِنْ حَمِيمٍ
*Kisha juu yake wanyweshwe mchanganyo wa maji yamoto yaliyo chemka.
*On top of that they will take a solution of scalding water.
37:68
ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى الْجَحِيمِ
*Kisha hakika marejeo yao bila ya shaka yatakuwa kwenye Jahannamu.
*Then their retreat will be toward hell.
37:69
إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ ضَالِّينَ
*Hakika waliwakuta baba zao wamepotea.
*They had found their fathers astray,
37:70
فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ
*Na wao wakafanya haraka kufuata nyayo zao.
*yet they press onwards in their footsteps.
37:71
وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Na bila ya shaka walikwisha potea kabla yao wengi wa watu wa zamani.
*Most of the former peoples went astray before them,
37:72
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ مُنْذِرِينَ
*Na Sisi hakika tuliwapelekea waonyaji.
*and We had certainly sent warners among them.
37:73
فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
*Basi hebu angalia ulikuwaje mwisho wa walio onywa.
*So observe how was the fate of those who were warned
37:74
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
*Isipo kuwa waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu walio khitariwa.
*—[all] except Allah’s exclusive servants!
37:75
وَلَقَدْ نَادَانَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ الْمُجِيبُونَ
*Na hakika Nuhu alitwita, na Sisi ni bora wa waitikiaji.
*Certainly Noah called out to Us, and how well did We respond!
37:76
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
*Na tulimwokoa yeye na ahali zake kutokana na msiba mkubwa.
*We delivered him and his family from their great distress,
37:77
وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُ هُمُ الْبَاقِينَ
*Na tuliwajaalia dhuriya zake ndio wenye kubakia.
*and made his descendants the survivors,
37:78
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
*Na tukamwachia (sifa njema) kwa walio kuja baadaye.
*and left for him a good name among posterity:
37:79
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ
*Iwe salama kwa Nuhu ulimwenguni kote!
*‘Peace to Noah, throughout the nations!’
37:80
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
*Kwa hakika hivi ndivyo tunavyo walipa wanao fanya mema.
*Thus do We reward the virtuous.
37:81
إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika yeye ni katika waja wetu walio amini.
*He is indeed one of Our faithful servants.
37:82
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
*Kisha tukawazamisha wale wengine.
*Then We drowned the rest.
37:83
وَإِنَّ مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ لَإِبْرَاهِيمَ
*Na hakika Ibrahim alikuwa katika kundi lake,
*Indeed Abraham was among his followers,
37:84
إِذْ جَاءَ رَبَّهُ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
*Alipo mjia Mola wake Mlezi kwa moyo mzima.
*when he came to his Lord with a sound heart [untainted by sin].
37:85
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ
*Alimwambia baba yake na watu wake: Mnaabudu nini?
*When he said to his father and his people, ‘What is it that you are worshiping?
37:86
أَئِفْكًا آلِهَةً دُونَ اللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ
*Kwa kuzua tu mnataka miungu mingine badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu?
*Is it a lie, gods other than Allah, that you desire?
37:87
فَمَا ظَنُّكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Mnamdhania nini Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote?
*Then what is your idea about the Lord of all the worlds?’
37:88
فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِي النُّجُومِ
*Kisha akapiga jicho kutazama nyota.
*Then he made an observation of the stars
37:89
فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ
*Akasema: Hakika mimi ni mgonjwa!
*and said, ‘Indeed I am sick!’
37:90
فَتَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ
*Nao wakamwacha, wakampa kisogo.
*So they went away leaving him behind.
37:91
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ آلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
*Basi akaiendea miungu yao kwa siri, akaiambia: Mbona hamli?
*Then he stole away to their gods and said, ‘Will you not eat?
37:92
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنْطِقُونَ
*Mna nini hata hamsemi?
*Why do you not speak?’
37:93
فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًا بِالْيَمِينِ
*Kisha akaigeukia kuipiga kwa mkono wa kulia.
*Then he attacked them, striking forcefully.
37:94
فَأَقْبَلُوا إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ
*Basi wakamjia upesi upesi.
*They came running towards him.
37:95
قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ
*Akasema: Hivyo mnaviabudu vitu mnavyo vichonga wenyewe?
*He said, ‘Do you worship what you have yourselves carved,
37:96
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
*Na hali Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye aliye kuumbeni nyinyi na hivyo mnavyo vifanya!
*when Allah has created you and whatever you make?’
37:97
قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَهُ بُنْيَانًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ
*Wakasema: Mjengeeni jengo, na kisha mtupeni motoni humo!
*They said, ‘Build a structure for him and cast him into a huge fire.’
37:98
فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَسْفَلِينَ
*Basi walitaka kumfanyia vitimbi, lakini tukawafanya wao ndio wa chini.
*So they sought to outwit him, but We made them the lowermost.
37:99
وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
*Na akasema: Hakika mimi nahama, nakwenda kwa Mola wangu Mlezi; Yeye ataniongoa.
*He said, ‘Indeed I am going toward my Lord, who will guide me.’
37:100
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
*Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi! Nitunukie aliye miongoni mwa watenda mema.
*‘My Lord! Give me [an heir], one of the righteous.’
37:101
فَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِغُلَامٍ حَلِيمٍ
*Basi tukambashiria mwana aliye mpole.
*So We gave him the good news of a forbearing son.
37:102
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ
*Basi alipo fika makamo ya kwenda na kurudi pamoja naye, alimwambia: Ewe mwanangu! Hakika mimi nimeona usingizini kuwa ninakuchinja. Basi angalia wewe, waonaje? Akasema: Ewe baba yangu! Tenda unavyo amrishwa, utanikuta mimi, Inshallah, katika wanao subiri.
*When he was old enough to assist in his endeavour, he said, ‘My son! I see in dreams that I am sacrificing you. See what you think.’ He said, ‘Father! Do whatever you have been commanded. If Allah wishes, you will find me to be patient.’
37:103
فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُ لِلْجَبِينِ
*Basi wote wawili walipo jisalimisha, na akamlaza juu ya kipaji.
*So when they had both surrendered [to Allah’s will], and he had laid him down on his forehead,
37:104
وَنَادَيْنَاهُ أَنْ يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ
*Tulimwita: Ewe Ibrahim!
*We called out to him, ‘O Abraham!
37:105
قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ الرُّؤْيَا ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
*Umekwisha itimiliza ndoto. Hakika hivi ndivyo tunavyo walipa wanao tenda mema.
*You have indeed fulfilled your vision! Thus indeed do We reward the virtuous!
37:106
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْبَلَاءُ الْمُبِينُ
*Hakika haya ni majaribio yaliyo dhaahiri.
*This was indeed a manifest test.’
37:107
وَفَدَيْنَاهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ
*Basi tukamtolea fidia kwa dhabihu mtukufu.
*Then We ransomed him with a great sacrifice,
37:108
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
*Na tukamwachia (sifa njema) kwa watu walio kuja baadaye.
*and left for him a good name in posterity:
37:109
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
*Iwe salama kwa Ibrahim!
*‘Peace be to Abraham!’
37:110
كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
*Hivi ndivyo tunavyo walipa wanao fanya mema.
*Thus do We reward the virtuous.
37:111
إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika yeye ni katika waja wetu walio amini.
*He is indeed one of Our faithful servants.
37:112
وَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِإِسْحَاقَ نَبِيًّا مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
*Na tukambashiria kuzaliwa Is-haqa, naye ni Nabii miongoni mwa watu wema.
*And We gave him the good news of [the birth of] Isaac, a prophet, one of the righteous.
37:113
وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ إِسْحَاقَ ۚ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ
*Na tukambarikia yeye na Is-haqa. Na miongoni mwa dhuriya zao walitokea wema na wenye kudhulumu nafsi zao waziwazi.
*And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants [some] are virtuous, and [some] who manifestly wrong themselves.
37:114
وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
*Na kwa hakika tuliwafanyia hisani Musa na Haruni.
*Certainly We favoured Moses and Aaron,
37:115
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
*Na tukawaokoa wao na watu wao kutokana na dhiki kubwa.
*and delivered them and their people from their great distress,
37:116
وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ
*Na tukawanusuru; na wakawa wao ndio wenye kushinda.
*and We helped them so that they became the victors.
37:117
وَآتَيْنَاهُمَا الْكِتَابَ الْمُسْتَبِينَ
*Na tukawapa wawili hao Kitabu kinacho bainisha.
*We gave them the illuminating scripture
37:118
وَهَدَيْنَاهُمَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
*Na tukawaongoa kwenye Njia Iliyo Nyooka.
*and guided them to the straight path,
37:119
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِي الْآخِرِينَ
*Na tukawaachia (sifa njema) katika watu walio kuja baadaye.
*and left for them a good name in posterity.
37:120
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
*Iwe salama kwa Musa na Haruni!
*‘Peace be to Moses and Aaron!’
37:121
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
*Hakika hivyo ndivyo tunavyo walipa walio wema.
*Thus indeed do We reward the virtuous.
37:122
إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika wawili hao ni katika waja wetu walio amini.
*They are indeed among Our faithful servants.
37:123
وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Na hakika Ilyas bila ya shaka alikuwa miongoni mwa Mitume.
*Indeed Ilyas was one of the apostles.
37:124
إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
*Alipo waambia watu wake: Hamwogopi?
*When he said to his people, ‘Will you not be Godwary?
37:125
أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِينَ
*Mnamwomba Baa´li na mnamwacha Mbora wa waumbaji,
*Do you invoke Baal and abandon the best of creators,
37:126
اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Mwenyezi Mungu, Mola Mlezi wenu na Mola Mlezi wa baba zenu wa zamani?
*Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?,’
37:127
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
*Wakamkadhibisha. Basi kwa hakika watahudhurishwa;
*they impugned him. So they will indeed be mustered [in hell]
37:128
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
*Isipo kuwa waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu walio safishwa.
*—[all] except Allah’s exclusive servants.
37:129
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
*Na tumemwachia (sifa nzuri) kwa walio kuja baadaye.
*We left for him a good name in posterity.
37:130
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِلْ يَاسِينَ
*Iwe salama kwa Ilyas.
*‘Peace be to Ilyas!’
37:131
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
*Hakika hivyo ndivyo tunavyo walipa walio wema.
*Thus indeed do We reward the virtuous.
37:132
إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika yeye ni katika waja wetu walio amini.
*He is indeed one of Our faithful servants.
37:133
وَإِنَّ لُوطًا لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Na hakika Lut´i bila ya shaka ni miongoni mwa Mitume.
*Indeed Lot was one of the apostles.
37:134
إِذْ نَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ
*Tulipo mwokoa yeye na ahali zake wote,
*When We delivered him and all his family,
37:135
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ
*Isipo kuwa mwanamke mkongwe katika wale walio bakia nyuma.
*excepting an old woman among those who remained behind,
37:136
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
*Kisha tukawaangamiza wale wengineo.
*We destroyed the rest.
37:137
وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِمْ مُصْبِحِينَ
*Na hakika nyinyi mnawapitia wakati wa asubuhi,
*Indeed you pass by them at dawn
37:138
وَبِاللَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
*Na usiku. Basi je! Hamyatii akilini?
*and at night. Do you not exercise your reason?
37:139
وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Na hakika Yunus alikuwa miongoni mwa Mitume.
*Indeed Jonah was one of the apostles.
37:140
إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
*Alipo kimbia katika jahazi lilio sheheni.
*When he absconded toward the laden ship,
37:141
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُدْحَضِينَ
*Akaingia katika kupigiwa kura, na akawa katika walio shindwa.
*he drew lots with them and was the one to be condemned [as one to be thrown overboard].
37:142
فَالْتَقَمَهُ الْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
*Samaki akammeza hali ya kuwa ni mwenye kulaumiwa.
*Then the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy.
37:143
فَلَوْلَا أَنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُسَبِّحِينَ
*Na ingeli kuwa hakuwa katika wanao mtakasa Mwenyezi Mungu,
*Had he not been one of those who celebrate Allah’s glory,
37:144
لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطْنِهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
*Bila ya shaka angeli kaa ndani yake mpaka siku ya kufufuliwa.
*he would have surely remained in its belly till the day they will be resurrected.
37:145
فَنَبَذْنَاهُ بِالْعَرَاءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ
*Lakini tulimtupa ufukweni patupu, hali yu mgonjwa.
*Then We cast him on a bare shore, and he was sick.
37:146
وَأَنْبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِنْ يَقْطِينٍ
*Na tukauotesha juu yake mmea wa kabila ya mung´unye.
*So We made a gourd plant grow above him.
37:147
وَأَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ مِائَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ
*Na tulimtuma kwa watu laki moja au zaidi.
*We sent him to a [community of] hundred thousand or more,
37:148
فَآمَنُوا فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
*Basi wakaamini, na tukawastarehesha kwa muda.
*and they believed [in him]. So We provided for them for a while.
37:149
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الْبَنُونَ
*Basi waulize: Ati Mola wako Mlezi ndiye mwenye watoto wa kike, na wao wanao watoto wa kiume?
*Ask them, are daughters to be for your Lord while sons are to be for them?
37:150
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةَ إِنَاثًا وَهُمْ شَاهِدُونَ
*Au tumewaumba Malaika kuwa ni wanawake, na wao wakashuhudia?
*Did We create the angels females while they were present?
37:151
أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ مِنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ
*Ati ni kwa uzushi wao ndio wanasema:
*Be aware that it is out of their mendacity that they say,
37:152
وَلَدَ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
*Mwenyezi Mungu amezaa! Ama hakika bila ya shaka hao ni waongo!
*‘Allah has begotten [offsprings],’ and they indeed speak a falsehood.
37:153
أَصْطَفَى الْبَنَاتِ عَلَى الْبَنِينَ
*Ati amekhiari watoto wa kike kuliko wanaume?
*Has He preferred daughters to sons?
37:154
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ
*Mna nini? Mnahukumu vipi nyinyi?
*What is the matter with you? How do you judge?
37:155
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
*Hamkumbuki?
*Will you not then take admonition?
37:156
أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَانٌ مُبِينٌ
*Au mnayo hoja iliyo wazi?
*Do you have a manifest authority?
37:157
فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابِكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
*Basi leteni Kitabu chenu kama mnasema kweli.
*Then produce your scripture, should you be truthful.
37:158
وَجَعَلُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ الْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
*Na wameweka makhusiano ya nasaba baina yake na majini; na majini wamekwisha jua bila ya shaka kuwa wao watahudhurishwa.
*And they have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn, while the jinn certainly know that they will be presented [before Him].
37:159
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
*Subhana ´Llah Ametakasika Mwenyezi Mungu na hayo wanayo msingizia.
*Clear is Allah of whatever they allege [about Him]
37:160
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
*Isipo kuwa waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu walio safishwa.
*—[all] except Allah’s exclusive servants.
37:161
فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ
*Basi hakika nyinyi na mnao waabudu
*Indeed you and what you worship
37:162
مَا أَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَاتِنِينَ
*Hamwezi kuwapoteza
*cannot mislead [anyone] about Him,
37:163
إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ الْجَحِيمِ
*Isipo kuwa yule atakaye ingia Motoni.
*except someone who is bound for hell.
37:164
وَمَا مِنَّا إِلَّا لَهُ مَقَامٌ مَعْلُومٌ
*Na hapana katika sisi ila anapo mahali pake maalumu.
*‘There is none among us but has a known place.
37:165
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الصَّافُّونَ
*Na hakika bila ya shaka sisi ndio wajipangao safu.
*It is we who are the ranged ones.
37:166
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْمُسَبِّحُونَ
*Na hakika sisi ndio wenye kusabihi kutakasa.
*It is we who celebrate Allah’s glory.’
37:167
وَإِنْ كَانُوا لَيَقُولُونَ
*Na walikuwapo walio kuwa wakisema:
*They indeed, used to say,
37:168
لَوْ أَنَّ عِنْدَنَا ذِكْرًا مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Tungeli kuwa na Ukumbusho kama wa watu wa zamani,
*‘Had we possessed a Reminder from our predecessors,
37:169
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
*Bila ya shaka tungeli kuwa ni waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu wenye ikhlasi.
*we would have surely been Allah’s exclusive servants.’
37:170
فَكَفَرُوا بِهِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
*Lakini waliukataa. Basi watakuja jua.
*But they disbelieved it [when it came to them]. Soon they will know!
37:171
وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Na bila ya shaka neno letu lilikwisha tangulia kwa waja wetu walio tumwa.
*Certainly Our decree has gone beforehand in favour of Our servants, the apostles,
37:172
إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ الْمَنْصُورُونَ
*Ya kuwa wao bila ya shaka ndio watakao nusuriwa.
*that they will indeed receive [Allah’s] help,
37:173
وَإِنَّ جُنْدَنَا لَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ
*Na kwamba jeshi letu ndilo litakalo shinda.
*and indeed Our hosts will be the victors.
37:174
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
*Basi waachilie mbali kwa muda.
*So leave them alone for a while,
37:175
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
*Na watazame, nao wataona.
*and watch them; soon they will see [the truth of the matter]!
37:176
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
*Je! Wanaihimiza adhabu yetu?
*Do they seek to hasten Our punishment?
37:177
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
*Basi itakapo shuka uwanjani kwao, itakuwa asubuhi mbaya kwa walio onywa.
*But when it descends in their courtyard it will be a dismal dawn for those who had been warned.
37:178
وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
*Na waache kwa muda.
*So leave them alone for a while,
37:179
وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
*Na tazama, na wao wataona.
*and watch; soon they will see!
37:180
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
*Subhana Rabbi´l´Izzat Ametakasika Mola Mlezi Mwenye enzi na yale wanayo mzulia.
*Clear is your Lord, the Lord of Might, of whatever they allege [concerning Him].
37:181
وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Na Salamu juu ya Mitume.
*Peace be to the apostles!
37:182
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Na sifa njema zote ni za Mwenyezi Mungu Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.
