بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu. |
|
4:1
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا
*Enyi watu! Mcheni Mola wenu Mlezi aliye kuumbeni kutokana na nafsi moja, na akamuumba mkewe kutoka nafsi ile ile. Na akaeneza kutokana na wawili hao wanaume na wanawake wengi. Na tahadharini na Mwenyezi Mungu ambaye kwaye mnaombana, na jamaa zenu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kuwaangalieni.
*O mankind! Be wary of your Lord who created you from a single soul, and created its mate from it, and from the two of them scattered numerous men and women. Be wary of Allah, in whose Name you adjure one another and [of severing ties with] blood relations. Indeed Allah is watchful over you.

|
4:2
وَآتُوا الْيَتَامَىٰ أَمْوَالَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَتَبَدَّلُوا الْخَبِيثَ بِالطَّيِّبِ ۖ وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَىٰ أَمْوَالِكُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حُوبًا كَبِيرًا
*Na wapeni mayatima mali yao. Wala msibadilishe kibaya kwa kizuri. Wala msile mali zao pamoja na mali zenu. Hakika yote hayo ni jukumu kubwa.
*Give the orphans their property, and do not replace the good with the bad, and do not eat up their property [by mingling it] with your own property, for that is indeed a great sin.

4:3
وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تُقْسِطُوا فِي الْيَتَامَىٰ فَانْكِحُوا مَا طَابَ لَكُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ مَثْنَىٰ وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ ۖ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا فَوَاحِدَةً أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰ أَلَّا تَعُولُوا
*Na ikiwa mnaogopa kuwa hamtowafanyia mayatima uadilifu, basi oeni mnao wapenda katika wanawake, wawili au watatu au wane. na mkiogopa kuwa hamwezi kufanya uadilifu, basi mmoja tu, au wale ambao mikono yenu ya kulia imewamiliki. Kufanya hivi ndiko kutapelekea msikithirishe wana.
*If you fear that you may not deal justly with the orphans, then marry [other] women that you like, two, three, or four. But if you fear that you may not treat them fairly, then [marry only] one, or [marry from among] your slave-women. That makes it likelier that you will not be unfair.

4:4
وَآتُوا النِّسَاءَ صَدُقَاتِهِنَّ نِحْلَةً ۚ فَإِنْ طِبْنَ لَكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ مِنْهُ نَفْسًا فَكُلُوهُ هَنِيئًا مَرِيئًا
*Na wapeni wanawake mahari yao hali ya kuwa ni kipawa. Lakini wakikutunukieni kitu katika mahari, kwa radhi yao, basi kileni kiwashuke kwa raha.
*Give women their dowries, handing it over to them; but if they remit anything of it of their own accord, then consume it as [something] lawful and wholesome.

4:5
وَلَا تُؤْتُوا السُّفَهَاءَ أَمْوَالَكُمُ الَّتِي جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ قِيَامًا وَارْزُقُوهُمْ فِيهَا وَاكْسُوهُمْ وَقُولُوا لَهُمْ قَوْلًا مَعْرُوفًا
*Wala msiwape wasio na akili mali yenu ambayo Mwenyezi Mungu ameyajaalia yawe ni kiamu yenu. Walisheni katika hayo na muwavike, na mseme nao maneno mazuri.
*Do not give the feeble-minded your property, which Allah has assigned you to manage: provide for them out of it and clothe them, and speak to them honourable words.

4:6
وَابْتَلُوا الْيَتَامَىٰ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا بَلَغُوا النِّكَاحَ فَإِنْ آنَسْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ رُشْدًا فَادْفَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَأْكُلُوهَا إِسْرَافًا وَبِدَارًا أَنْ يَكْبَرُوا ۚ وَمَنْ كَانَ غَنِيًّا فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ ۖ وَمَنْ كَانَ فَقِيرًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ فَإِذَا دَفَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فَأَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ حَسِيبًا
*Na wajaribuni mayatima mpaka wafike umri wa kuoa. Mkiwaona ni wekevu, basi wapeni mali yao. Wala msiyale kwa fujo na pupa kwa kuwa watakuja kuwa watu wazima. Na aliye kuwa tajiri naajizuilie, na aliye fakiri basi naale kwa kadri ya ada. Na mtakapo wapa mali yao washuhudizieni. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anatosha kuwa Mhasibu.
*Test the orphans when they reach the age of marriage. Then if you discern in them maturity, deliver to them their property. And do not consume it lavishly and hastily lest they should grow up. As for him who is well-off, let him be abstemious, and as for him who is poor, let him eat in an honourable manner. And when you deliver to them their property, take witnesses over them, and Allah suffices as reckoner.

4:7
لِلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالْأَقْرَبُونَ وَلِلنِّسَاءِ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالْأَقْرَبُونَ مِمَّا قَلَّ مِنْهُ أَوْ كَثُرَ ۚ نَصِيبًا مَفْرُوضًا
*Wanaume wana sehemu katika wanayo yaacha wazazi na jamaa walio karibia. Na wanawake wanayo sehemu katika waliyo yaacha wazazi na jamaa walio karibia. Ikiwa kidogo au kingi. Hizi ni sehemu zilizo faridhiwa.
*Men have a share in the heritage left by parents and near relatives, and women have a share in the heritage left by parents and near relatives, whether it be little or much, a share ordained [by Allah].

4:8
وَإِذَا حَضَرَ الْقِسْمَةَ أُولُو الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينُ فَارْزُقُوهُمْ مِنْهُ وَقُولُوا لَهُمْ قَوْلًا مَعْرُوفًا
*Na wakati wa kugawanya wakihudhuria jamaa na mayatima na masikini, wapeni katika hayo mali ya urithi, na semeni nao maneno mema.
*And when the division is attended by relatives, the orphans and the needy, provide for them out of it, and speak to them honourable words.

4:9
وَلْيَخْشَ الَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَافًا خَافُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلْيَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا
*Na wachelee wale ambao lau kuwa na wao wangeli acha nyuma yao watoto wanyonge wangeli wakhofia. Basi nao wamche Mwenyezi Mungu, na waseme maneno yaliyo sawa.
*Let those fear [the result of mistreating orphans] who, were they to leave behind weak offspring, would be concerned on their account. So let them be wary of Allah, and let them speak upright words.

|
4:10
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ الْيَتَامَىٰ ظُلْمًا إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِي بُطُونِهِمْ نَارًا ۖ وَسَيَصْلَوْنَ سَعِيرًا
*Hakika wanao kula mali ya mayatima kwa dhulma, hapana shaka yoyote wanakula matumboni mwao moto, na wataingia Motoni.
*Indeed those who consume the property of orphans wrongfully, only ingest fire into their bellies, and soon they will enter the Blaze.

4:11
يُوصِيكُمُ اللَّهُ فِي أَوْلَادِكُمْ ۖ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الْأُنْثَيَيْنِ ۚ فَإِنْ كُنَّ نِسَاءً فَوْقَ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَ ۖ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ وَاحِدَةً فَلَهَا النِّصْفُ ۚ وَلِأَبَوَيْهِ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ مِمَّا تَرَكَ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ ۚ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَوَرِثَهُ أَبَوَاهُ فَلِأُمِّهِ الثُّلُثُ ۚ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُ إِخْوَةٌ فَلِأُمِّهِ السُّدُسُ ۚ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِي بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ ۗ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ لَكُمْ نَفْعًا ۚ فَرِيضَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
*Mwenyezi Mungu anakuusieni juu ya watoto wenu: Fungu la mwanamume ni kama fungu la wanawake wawili. Na ikiwa wanawake zaidi ya wawili, basi watapata thuluthi mbili za alicho kiacha maiti. Lakini akiwa mtoto mwanamke ni mmoja, basi fungu lake ni nusu. Na wazazi wake wawili, kila mmoja wao apate sudusi ya alicho kiacha, ikiwa anaye mtoto. Akiwa hana mtoto, na wazazi wake wawili wamekuwa ndio warithi wake, basi mama yake atapata thuluthi moja. Na akiwa anao ndugu, basi mama yake atapata sudusi. Haya ni baada ya kutolewa alicho usia au kulipa deni. Baba zenu na watoto wenu, nyinyi hamjui ni nani baina yao aliye karibia zaidi kwenu kwa manufaa. Hiyo ni Sharia iliyo toka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Bila ya shaka Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi na Mwenye hikima.
*Allah enjoins you concerning your children: for the male shall be the like of the share of two females, and if there be [two or] more than two females, then for them shall be two-thirds of what he leaves; but if she be alone, then for her shall be a half; and for each of his parents a sixth of what he leaves, if he has children; but if he has no children, and his parents are his [sole] heirs, then it shall be a third for his mother; but if he has brothers, then a sixth for his mother, after [paying off] any bequest he may have made or any debt [he may have incurred]. Your parents and your children—you do not know which of them is likelier to be beneficial for you. This is an ordinance from Allah. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

4:12
وَلَكُمْ نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ أَزْوَاجُكُمْ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٌ ۚ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَلَكُمُ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْنَ ۚ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِينَ بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ ۚ وَلَهُنَّ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ ۚ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَلَهُنَّ الثُّمُنُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ ۚ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ تُوصُونَ بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ ۗ وَإِنْ كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُورَثُ كَلَالَةً أَوِ امْرَأَةٌ وَلَهُ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ فَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ ۚ فَإِنْ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَٰلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ فِي الثُّلُثِ ۚ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصَىٰ بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ غَيْرَ مُضَارٍّ ۚ وَصِيَّةً مِنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٌ
*Na fungu lenu ni nusu walicho acha wake zenu ikiwa hawana mtoto. Wakiwa na mtoto basi fungu lenu ni robo ya walicho acha, baada ya wasia waliyo usia au kulipa deni. Na wake zenu watapata robo mlicho kiacha, ikiwa hamna mtoto. Mkiwa mna mtoto basi sehemu yao ni thumni ya mlicho kiacha, baada ya wasia mlio usia au kulipa deni. Na ikiwa mwanamume au mwanamke anaye rithiwa hana mtoto wala wazazi, lakini anaye ndugu mume au ndugu mke, basi kila mmoja katika hawa atapata sudusi. Na wakiwa zaidi kuliko hivyo basi watashirikiana katika thuluthi, baada ya wasia ulio usiwa au kulipa deni, pasio kuleta dhara. Huu ndio wasia ulio toka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi na Mpole.
*For you shall be a half of what your wives leave, if they have no children; but if they have children, then for you shall be a fourth of what they leave, after [paying off] any bequest they may have made or any debt [they may have incurred]. And for them [it shall be] a fourth of what you leave, if you have no children; but if you have children, then for them shall be an eighth of what you leave, after [paying off] any bequest you may have made or any debt [you may have incurred]. If a man or woman is inherited by siblings and has a brother or a sister, then each of them shall receive a sixth; but if they are more than that, then they shall share in one third, after [paying off] any bequest he may have made or any debt [he may have incurred] without prejudice. [This is] an enjoinment from Allah, and Allah is all-knowing, all-forbearing.

|
4:13
تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
*Hiyo ni mipaka ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na anaye mt´ii Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, Yeye atamtia katika Pepo zipitazo mito kati yake, wadumu humo. Na huko ndiko kufuzu kukubwa.
*These are Allah’s bounds, and whoever obeys Allah and His Apostle, He shall admit him to gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever]. That is the great success.

|
4:14
وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَهُ يُدْخِلْهُ نَارًا خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَلَهُ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ
*Na anaye muasi Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, na akaipindukia mipaka yake, (Mwenyezi Mungu) atamtia Motoni adumu humo, na atapata adhabu ya kudhalilisha.
*But whoever disobeys Allah and His Apostle and transgresses the bounds set by Allah, He shall make him enter a Fire, to remain in it [forever], and there will be a humiliating punishment for him.

|
4:15
وَاللَّاتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمْ فَاسْتَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةً مِنْكُمْ ۖ فَإِنْ شَهِدُوا فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ حَتَّىٰ يَتَوَفَّاهُنَّ الْمَوْتُ أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلًا
*Na ambao wanafanya uchafu miongoni mwa wanawake wenu, washuhudizieni watu wane katika nyinyi. Watakapo shuhudia, basi wazuieni majumbani mpaka wafishwe na mauti au Mwenyezi Mungu awatolee njia nyengine.
*Should any of your women commit an indecent act, produce against them four witnesses from yourselves, and if they testify, detain them in [their] houses until death finishes them, or Allah decrees a course for them.

|
4:16
وَاللَّذَانِ يَأْتِيَانِهَا مِنْكُمْ فَآذُوهُمَا ۖ فَإِنْ تَابَا وَأَصْلَحَا فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمَا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ تَوَّابًا رَحِيمًا
*Na wawili kati yenu wafanyao hayo waadhibuni. Na wakitubia wakatengenea basi waacheni. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwingi wa kupokea toba, Mwenye kurehemu.
*Should two among you commit it, chastise them both; but if they repent and reform, let them alone. Indeed Allah is all-clement, all-merciful.

|
4:17
إِنَّمَا التَّوْبَةُ عَلَى اللَّهِ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السُّوءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُونَ مِنْ قَرِيبٍ فَأُولَٰئِكَ يَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
*Hakika toba inayo kubaliwa na Mwenyezi Mungu ni ya wale wafanyao uovu kwa ujinga, kisha wakatubia kwa haraka. Hao ndio Mwenyezi Mungu huwakubalia toba yao, na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi na ni Mwenye hikima.
*[Acceptance of] repentance by Allah is only for those who commit evil out of ignorance and then repent promptly. It is such whose repentance Allah will accept, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

|
4:18
وَلَيْسَتِ التَّوْبَةُ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ إِنِّي تُبْتُ الْآنَ وَلَا الَّذِينَ يَمُوتُونَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
*Wala hawana toba wale wafanyao maovu mpaka yakamfikia mmoja wao mauti, kisha hapo akasema: Hakika mimi sasa nimetubia. Wala wale wanao kufa na hali wao ni makafiri. Hao tumewaandalia adhabu chungu.
*But [acceptance of] repentance is not for those who go on committing misdeeds: when death approaches any of them, he says, ‘I repent now.’ Nor is it for those who die while they are faithless. For such We have prepared a painful punishment.

|
4:19
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَرِثُوا النِّسَاءَ كَرْهًا ۖ وَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُوا بِبَعْضِ مَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُبَيِّنَةٍ ۚ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ فَإِنْ كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَىٰ أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا
*Enyi mlio amini! Si halali kwenu kuwarithi wanawake kwa nguvu. Wala msiwadhikishe ili mwapokonye baadhi ya mlivyo wapa - isipo kuwa wakifanya uchafu ulio wazi. Na kaeni nao kwa wema, na ikiwa mmewachukia, basi huenda mkakichukia kitu, na Mwenyezi Mungu ametia kheri nyingi ndani yake.
*O you who have faith! It is not lawful for you to inherit women forcibly, and do not press them to take away part of what you have given them, unless they commit a gross indecency. Consort with them in an honourable manner; and should you dislike them, maybe you dislike something while Allah invests it with an abundant good.

|
4:20
وَإِنْ أَرَدْتُمُ اسْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجٍ مَكَانَ زَوْجٍ وَآتَيْتُمْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ قِنْطَارًا فَلَا تَأْخُذُوا مِنْهُ شَيْئًا ۚ أَتَأْخُذُونَهُ بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُبِينًا
*Na mkitaka kubadilisha mke mahali pa mke, na hali mmoja wao mmempa chungu ya mali, basi msichukue katika hayo kitu chochote. Je, mtachukua kwa dhulma na kosa lilio wazi?
*If you desire to take a wife in place of another, and you have given one of them a quintal [of gold], do not take anything away from it. Would you take it by way of calumny and flagrant sin?!

|
4:21
وَكَيْفَ تَأْخُذُونَهُ وَقَدْ أَفْضَىٰ بَعْضُكُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ وَأَخَذْنَ مِنْكُمْ مِيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا
*Na mtachukuaje na ilhali mmekwisha ingiliana nyinyi kwa nyinyi, na wao wanawake wamechukua kwenu ahadi iliyo madhubuti?
*How could you take it back, when you have known each other, and they have taken from you a solemn covenant?

|
4:22
وَلَا تَنْكِحُوا مَا نَكَحَ آبَاؤُكُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَمَقْتًا وَسَاءَ سَبِيلًا
*Wala msiwaoe wake walio waoa baba zenu, ila yaliyo kwisha pita. Hakika huo ni uchafu na uchukizo na ni njia mbaya.
*Do not marry any of the women whom your fathers had married, excluding what is already past. That is indeed an indecency, an outrage and an evil course.

4:23
حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ وَعَمَّاتُكُمْ وَخَالَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ الْأَخِ وَبَنَاتُ الْأُخْتِ وَأُمَّهَاتُكُمُ اللَّاتِي أَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَأُمَّهَاتُ نِسَائِكُمْ وَرَبَائِبُكُمُ اللَّاتِي فِي حُجُورِكُمْ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمُ اللَّاتِي دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَحَلَائِلُ أَبْنَائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ أَصْلَابِكُمْ وَأَنْ تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ الْأُخْتَيْنِ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا
*Mmeharimishiwa mama zenu, na binti zenu, na dada zenu, na shangazi zenu, na khaalati zenu, na binti wa ndugu mume, na binti wa dada, na mama zenu walio kunyonyesheni, na dada zenu kwa kunyonya, na mama wa wake zenu, na watoto wenu wa kambo walio katika ulinzi wenu walio zaliwa na wake zenu mlio waingilia. Ikiwa hamkuwaingilia basi hapana lawama juu yenu. (Pia mmeharimishwa) wake wa watoto wenu walio toka katika migongo yenu. Na kuwaoa pamoja dada wawili isipo kuwa yale yaliyo kwisha pita. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusamehe Mwenye kurehemu.
*Forbidden to you are your mothers, your daughters and your sisters, your paternal aunts and your maternal aunts, your brother’s daughters and your sister’s daughters, your [foster-]mothers who have suckled you and your sisters through fosterage, your wives’ mothers, and your stepdaughters who are under your care [born] of the wives whom you have gone into—but if you have not gone into them there is no sin upon you—and the wives of your sons who are from your own loins, and that you should marry two sisters at one time—excluding what is already past; indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful—

|
4:24
وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ ۖ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُمْ مَا وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِينَ ۚ فَمَا اسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِهِ مِنْهُنَّ فَآتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً ۚ وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا تَرَاضَيْتُمْ بِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْفَرِيضَةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
*NA WANAWAKE wenye waume, isipo kuwa walio milikiwa na mikono yenu ya kulia. Ndiyo Sharia ya Mwenyezi Mungu juu yenu. Na mmehalilishiwa wasio kuwa hao, mtafute kwa mali yenu kwa kuowa pasina kuzini. Kama mnavyo starehe nao, basi wapeni mahari yao kwa kuwa ni waajibu. Wala hapana lawama juu yenu kwa mtakacho kubaliana baada ya kutimiza waajibu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kujua na Mwenye hikima.
*and married women, excepting your slave-women. This is Allah’s ordinance for you. As to others than these, it is lawful for you to seek [temporary union with them] with your wealth, in wedlock, not in license. For the enjoyment you have had from them thereby, give them their dowries, by way of settlement, and there is no sin upon you in what you may agree upon after the settlement. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

4:25
وَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِنْكُمْ طَوْلًا أَنْ يَنْكِحَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ فَمِنْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ مِنْ فَتَيَاتِكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَانِكُمْ ۚ بَعْضُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ ۚ فَانْكِحُوهُنَّ بِإِذْنِ أَهْلِهِنَّ وَآتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ مُحْصَنَاتٍ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحَاتٍ وَلَا مُتَّخِذَاتِ أَخْدَانٍ ۚ فَإِذَا أُحْصِنَّ فَإِنْ أَتَيْنَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ فَعَلَيْهِنَّ نِصْفُ مَا عَلَى الْمُحْصَنَاتِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ الْعَنَتَ مِنْكُمْ ۚ وَأَنْ تَصْبِرُوا خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Na asiyeweza kati yenu kupata mali ya kuolea wanawake wa kiungwana Waumini, na aoe katika vijakazi Waumini iliyo wamiliki mikono yenu ya kulia. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi wa imani yenu. Nyinyi mmetokana wenyewe kwa wenyewe. Basi waoeni kwa idhini ya watu wao, na wapeni mahari yao kama ada, wawe wanawake wema, si makahaba wala si mahawara. Na wanapo olewa kisha wakafanya uchafu basi adhabu yao itakuwa ni nusu ya adhabu waliyo wekewa waungwana. Hayo ni kwa yule miongoni mwenu anaye ogopa kuingia katika zina. Na mkisubiri ndio bora kwenu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusamehe na Mwenye kurehemu.
*As for those of you who cannot afford to marry faithful free women, then [let them marry] from what you own, from among your faithful slave-women. Your faith is best known [only] to Allah; you are all [on a] similar [footing]. So marry them with their masters’ permission, and give them their dowries in an honourable manner—[such of them] as are chaste women, not licentious ones or those who take paramours. But should they commit an indecent act on marrying, there shall be for them [only] half the punishment for free women. This is for those of you who fear falling into fornication; but it is better that you be continent, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

4:26
يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ سُنَنَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَيَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Mwenyezi Mungu anataka kukubainishieni na kukuongozeni nyendo za walio kuwa kabla yenu, na akurejezeni kwenye ut´iifu wake. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi, Mwenye hikima.
*Allah desires to explain [the laws] to you, and to guide you to the customs of those who were before you, and to turn toward you clemently, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

|
4:27
وَاللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ الَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ الشَّهَوَاتِ أَنْ تَمِيلُوا مَيْلًا عَظِيمًا
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu anataka kukurejezeni kwenye ut´iifu wake, na wanao taka kufuata matamanio wanataka mkengeuke makengeuko makubwa.
*Allah desires to turn toward you clemently, but those who pursue their [base] appetites desire that you fall into gross waywardness.

|
4:28
يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَنْ يُخَفِّفَ عَنْكُمْ ۚ وَخُلِقَ الْإِنْسَانُ ضَعِيفًا
*Mwenyezi Mungu anataka kukupunguzieni taabu, na mwanaadamu ameumbwa dhaifu.
*Allah desires to lighten your burden, for man was created weak.
|
|
4:29
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ بِالْبَاطِلِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ تِجَارَةً عَنْ تَرَاضٍ مِنْكُمْ ۚ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا
*Enyi mlio amini! Msiliane mali yenu kwa dhulma, isipo kuwa iwe biashara kwa kuridhiana wenyewe. Wala msijiuwe. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kuwarehemuni.
*O you who have faith! Do not eat up your wealth among yourselves unrightfully, but it should be trade by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves. Indeed Allah is most merciful to you.

|
4:30
وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ عُدْوَانًا وَظُلْمًا فَسَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِ نَارًا ۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرًا
*Na mwenye kutenda hayo kwa uadui na udhaalimu, basi huyo tutamwingiza Motoni. Na hilo ni jepesi kwa Mwenyezi Mungu.
*And whoever does that in aggression and injustice, We will soon make him enter the Fire, and that is easy for Allah.

|
4:31
إِنْ تَجْتَنِبُوا كَبَائِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُمْ مُدْخَلًا كَرِيمًا
*Mkiyaepuka makubwa mnayo katazwa, tutakufutieni makosa yenu madogo, na tutakuingizeni mahali patukufu.
*If you avoid the major sins that you are forbidden, We will absolve you of your misdeeds and admit you to a noble abode.

4:32
وَلَا تَتَمَنَّوْا مَا فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ لِلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا اكْتَسَبُوا ۖ وَلِلنِّسَاءِ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا اكْتَسَبْنَ ۚ وَاسْأَلُوا اللَّهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا
*Wala msitamani alicho wafadhili Mwenyezi Mungu baadhi yenu kuliko wengine. Wanaume wana fungu katika walio vichuma, na wanawake wana fungu katika walio vichuma. Na muombeni Mwenyezi Mungu fadhila zake. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi wa kila kitu.
*Do not covet the advantage, which Allah has given some of you over others. To men belongs a share of what they have earned, and to women a share of what they have earned. And ask Allah for His bounty. Indeed Allah has knowledge of all things.

|
4:33
وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَالِيَ مِمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالْأَقْرَبُونَ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ عَقَدَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ فَآتُوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدًا
*Na kila mmoja tumemwekea warithi katika waliyo yaacha wazazi wawili na jamaa. Na mlio fungamana nao ahadi wapeni fungu lao. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Shahidi wa kila kitu.
*For everyone We have appointed heirs to what the parents and near relatives leave, as well as those with whom you have made a compact; so give them their share [of the heritage]. Indeed Allah is witness to all things.

4:34
الرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ وَبِمَا أَنْفَقُوا مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ ۚ فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ حَافِظَاتٌ لِلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَاللَّاتِي تَخَافُونَ نُشُوزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوهُنَّ وَاهْجُرُوهُنَّ فِي الْمَضَاجِعِ وَاضْرِبُوهُنَّ ۖ فَإِنْ أَطَعْنَكُمْ فَلَا تَبْغُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ سَبِيلًا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيًّا كَبِيرًا
*Wanaume ni wasimamizi wa wanawake, kwa kufadhiliwa na Mwenyezi Mungu baadhi yao juu ya baadhi, na kwa mali yao wanayo yatoa. Basi wanawake wema ni wale wenye kut´ii na wanao jilinda hata katika siri kwa kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu ameamrisha wajilinde. Na ambao mnachelea kutoka katika ut´iifu wanasihini, muwahame katika malazi na wapigeni. Wakikut´iini msiwatafutie njia ya kuwaudhi bure. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye aliye juu na Mkuu.
*Men are the managers of women, because of the advantage Allah has granted some of them over others, and by virtue of their spending out of their wealth. Righteous women are obedient and watchful in the absence [of their husbands] in guarding what Allah has enjoined [them] to guard. As for those [wives] whose misconduct you fear, [first] advise them, and [if ineffective] keep away from them in the bed, and [as the last resort] beat them. Then if they obey you, do not seek any course [of action] against them. Indeed Allah is all-exalted, all-great.
|
|
4:35
وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقَ بَيْنِهِمَا فَابْعَثُوا حَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَحَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهَا إِنْ يُرِيدَا إِصْلَاحًا يُوَفِّقِ اللَّهُ بَيْنَهُمَا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا خَبِيرًا
*Na mkichelea kutakuwapo mfarakano baina ya mke na mume basi pelekeni muamuzi kutokana na jamaa za mume, na muamuzi kutokana na jamaa za mke. Wakitaka mapatano Mwenyezi Mungu atawawezesha. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi Mwenye khabari.
*If you fear a split between the two of them, then appoint an arbiter from his relatives and an arbiter from her relatives. If they desire reconcilement, Allah shall reconcile them. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-aware.

|
4:36
وَاعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا ۖ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَبِذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْجَارِ ذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْجَارِ الْجُنُبِ وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالْجَنْبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنْ كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا
*Muabuduni Mwenyezi Mungu wala msimshirikishe na chochote. Na wafanyieni wema wazazi wawili na jamaa na mayatima na masikini na jirani wa karibu na jirani wa mbali, na rafiki wa ubavuni na mpita njia, na walio milikiwa na mikono yenu ya kulia. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu hawapendi wenye kiburi wanao jifakhiri,
*Worship Allah and do not ascribe any partners to Him, and be good to parents, the relatives, the orphans, the needy, the near neighbour and the distant neighbour, the companion at your side, the traveller, and your slaves. Indeed Allah does not like those who are arrogant and boastful.

|
4:37
الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ وَيَكْتُمُونَ مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۗ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُهِينًا
*Ambao wanafanya ubakhili na wanaamrisha watu ubakhili, na wanaficha fadhila alizo wapa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na tumewaandalia makafiri adhabu ya fedheha,
*—Those who are [themselves] stingy and bid [other] people to be stingy, and conceal whatever Allah has given them out of His bounty; and We have prepared for the faithless a humiliating punishment.
|
|
4:38
وَالَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ رِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۗ وَمَنْ يَكُنِ الشَّيْطَانُ لَهُ قَرِينًا فَسَاءَ قَرِينًا
*Na ambao hutoa mali yao kwa kuonyesha watu, wala hawamuamini Mwenyezi Mungu wala Siku ya Mwisho; na yule ambaye Shet´ani amekuwa ndiye rafiki yake, basi ana rafiki mbaya mno.
*And those who spend their wealth to be seen by people, and believe neither in Allah nor in the Last Day. As for him who has Satan for his companion—an evil companion is he!

|
4:39
وَمَاذَا عَلَيْهِمْ لَوْ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَنْفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِهِمْ عَلِيمًا
*Na ingeli wadhuru nini wao lau wangeli muamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Siku ya Mwisho, na wakatoa katika aliyo waruzuku Mwenyezi Mungu? Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kuwajua vyema.
*What harm would it have done them had they believed in Allah and the Last Day, and spent out of what Allah has provided them? Allah knows them well.

|
4:40
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ ۖ وَإِنْ تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَاعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِنْ لَدُنْهُ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
*Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu hadhulumu hata uzito wa chembe moja. Na ikiwa ni jambo jema basi Yeye hulizidisha na hutoa kutoka kwake malipo makubwa.
*Indeed Allah does not wrong [anyone] [even to the extent of] an atom’s weight, and if it be a good deed He doubles it[s reward], and gives from Himself a great reward.

|
4:41
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَٰؤُلَاءِ شَهِيدًا
*Basi itakuwaje pindi tukiwaletea kutoka kila umma shahidi, na tukakuleta wewe kuwa shahidi wa hawa?
*So how shall it be, when We bring a witness from every nation and We bring you as a witness to them?
|
|
4:42
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَعَصَوُا الرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّىٰ بِهِمُ الْأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُونَ اللَّهَ حَدِيثًا
*Siku hiyo walio kufuru na wakamuasi Mtume watatamani ardhi isawazishwe juu yao. Wala hawataweza kumficha Mwenyezi Mungu neno lolote.
*On that day those who were faithless and [who] disobeyed the Apostle will wish the earth were levelled with them, and they will not conceal any matter from Allah.

|
4:43
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنْتُمْ سُكَارَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَعْلَمُوا مَا تَقُولُونَ وَلَا جُنُبًا إِلَّا عَابِرِي سَبِيلٍ حَتَّىٰ تَغْتَسِلُوا ۚ وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَرْضَىٰ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا
*Enyi mlio amini! Msikaribie Sala, hali mmelewa, mpaka myajue mnayo yasema, wala hali mna janaba - isipo kuwa mmo safarini #NAME? chooni, au mmewagusa wanawake - na msipate maji, basi ukusudieni mchanga safi, mpake nyuso zenu na mikono yenu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Msamehevu na Mwenye kughufiria.
*O you who have faith! Do not approach prayer when you are intoxicated, [not] until you know what you are saying, nor [enter mosques] in the state of ritual impurity until you have washed yourselves, except while passing through. But if you are sick or on a journey, or any of you has come from the toilet, or you have touched women, and you cannot find water, then make your ablution on clean ground and wipe a part of your faces and your hands. Indeed Allah is all-excusing, all-forgiving.

4:44
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبًا مِنَ الْكِتَابِ يَشْتَرُونَ الضَّلَالَةَ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَضِلُّوا السَّبِيلَ
*Huwaoni wale walio pewa sehemu ya Kitabu wananunua upotovu na wanakutakeni nanyi mpotee njia?
*Have you not regarded those who were given a share of the Book, who purchase error and desire that you [too] should lose the way?

|
4:45
وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِأَعْدَائِكُمْ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ نَصِيرًا
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu anawajua vyema maadui zenu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anatosha kuwa ni Mlinzi, na anatosha kuwa ni Mwenye kukunusuruni.
*But Allah knows your enemies better, and Allah suffices as guardian, and Allah suffices as helper.

4:46
مِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُوا يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَنْ مَوَاضِعِهِ وَيَقُولُونَ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَاسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٍ وَرَاعِنَا لَيًّا بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ وَطَعْنًا فِي الدِّينِ ۚ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَاسْمَعْ وَانْظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ وَأَقْوَمَ وَلَٰكِنْ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
*Miongoni mwa Mayahudi wamo ambao hubadilisha maneno kuyatoa mahala pake, na husema: Tumesikia na tumeasi, na sikia bila ya kusikilizwa. Na husema: "Raai´naa", kwa kuzipotoa ndimi zao ili kuitukana Dini. Na lau kama wangeli sema: Tumesikia na tumet´ii, na usikie na "Undhurna" (Utuangalie), ingeli kuwa ni kheri kwao na sawa zaidi. Lakini Mwenyezi Mungu amewalaani kwa kufuru yao; basi hawaamini ila wachache tu.
*Among the Jews are those who pervert words from their meanings and say, ‘We hear and disobey’ and ‘Hear without listening!’ and ‘Ra’ina,’ twisting their tongues and reviling the faith. But had they said, ‘We hear and obey’ and ‘Listen’ and ‘Unzurna,’ it would have been better for them and more upright. But Allah has cursed them for their faithlessness, so they will not believe except a few.

4:47
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ آمِنُوا بِمَا نَزَّلْنَا مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا مَعَكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ نَطْمِسَ وُجُوهًا فَنَرُدَّهَا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِهَا أَوْ نَلْعَنَهُمْ كَمَا لَعَنَّا أَصْحَابَ السَّبْتِ ۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ مَفْعُولًا
*Enyi mlio pewa Kitabu! Aminini tuliyo yateremsha yenye kusadikisha yale mliyo nayo, kabla hatujazigeuza nyuso tukazipeleka kisogoni, au tukawalaani kama tulivyo walaani watu wa Sabato (Jumaamosi). Na amri ya Mwenyezi Mungu ni lazima ifanyike.
*O you who were given the Book! Believe in what We have sent down confirming what is with you, before We blot out the faces and turn them backwards, or curse them as We cursed the People of the Sabbath, and Allah’s command is bound to be fulfilled.

4:48
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَنْ يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدِ افْتَرَىٰ إِثْمًا عَظِيمًا
*Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu hasamehe kushirikishwa, na husamehe yaliyo duni ya hilo kwa amtakaye. Na anaye mshirikisha Mwenyezi Mungu basi hakika amezua dhambi kubwa.
*Indeed Allah does not forgive that partners should be ascribed to Him, but He forgives anything besides that to whomever He wishes. Whoever ascribes partners to Allah has indeed fabricated [a lie] in great sinfulness.

4:49
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يُزَكُّونَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ ۚ بَلِ اللَّهُ يُزَكِّي مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا
*Jee huwaoni wale wanao dai kuwa ati wametakasika? Bali Mwenyezi Mungu humtakasa amtakaye. Na hawatadhulumiwa hata kadiri ya kijiuzi kilichomo ndani ya uwazi wa kokwa ya tende.
*Have you not regarded those who style themselves as pure? Indeed, it is Allah who purifies whomever He wishes, and they will not be wronged [so much as] a single date-thread.

4:50
انْظُرْ كَيْفَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ ۖ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِ إِثْمًا مُبِينًا
*Tazama vipi wanavyo mzulia uwongo Mwenyezi Mungu, na haya yatosha kuwa dhambi iliyo dhaahiri.
*Look, how they fabricate lies against Allah! That suffices for a flagrant sin.

|
4:51
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبًا مِنَ الْكِتَابِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْجِبْتِ وَالطَّاغُوتِ وَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هَٰؤُلَاءِ أَهْدَىٰ مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا سَبِيلًا
*Huwaoni wale walio pewa sehemu ya Kitabu? Wanaamini masanamu na Shet´ani! Na wanawasema walio kufuru, kuwa hao wameongoka zaidi katika njia kuliko Walio amini.
*Have you not regarded those who were given a share of the Book, believing in idols and fake deities and saying of the pagans: ‘These are better guided on the way than the faithful’?

4:52
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَمَنْ يَلْعَنِ اللَّهُ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ نَصِيرًا
*Hao ndio Mwenyezi Mungu amewalaani. Na ambaye Mwenyezi Mungu amemlaani basi hutamwona kuwa na mwenye kumnusuru.
*They are the ones whom Allah has cursed, and whomever Allah curses, you will never find any helper for him.

|
4:53
أَمْ لَهُمْ نَصِيبٌ مِنَ الْمُلْكِ فَإِذًا لَا يُؤْتُونَ النَّاسَ نَقِيرًا
*Au wanayo sehemu ya utawala? Basi hapo wasingewapa watu hata tundu ya kokwa ya tende.
*Do they have a share in sovereignty? If so, they will not give those people [so much as] a speck on a date-stone!

|
4:54
أَمْ يَحْسُدُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَىٰ مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۖ فَقَدْ آتَيْنَا آلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ مُلْكًا عَظِيمًا
*Au wanawahusudu watu kwa yale aliyo wapa Mwenyezi Mungu kwa fadhila yake? Basi tuliwapa ukoo wa Ibrahim Kitabu na hikima na tukawapa utawala mkubwa.
*Do they envy those people for what Allah has given them out of His bounty? We have certainly given the progeny of Abraham the Book and wisdom, and We have given them a great sovereignty.

|
4:55
فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ آمَنَ بِهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ صَدَّ عَنْهُ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِجَهَنَّمَ سَعِيرًا
*Basi wapo miongoni mwao waliyo yaamini, na wapo walio yakataa. Na Jahannamu yatosha kuwa ni moto wa kuwateketeza.
*Of them are some who believe in him, and of them are some who deter [others] from him; and hell suffices for a blaze!

|
4:56
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِمْ نَارًا كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُودُهُمْ بَدَّلْنَاهُمْ جُلُودًا غَيْرَهَا لِيَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا
*Hakika wale walio zikataa Ishara zetu tutawaingiza Motoni. Kila zitapo wiva ngozi zao tutawabadilishia ngozi nyengine ili waionje hiyo adhabu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye nguvu na Mwenye hikima.
*Indeed We shall soon make those who deny Our signs enter a Fire: as often as their skins become scorched, We shall replace them with other skins, so that they may taste the punishment. Indeed Allah is all-mighty, all-wise.

4:57
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۖ لَهُمْ فِيهَا أَزْوَاجٌ مُطَهَّرَةٌ ۖ وَنُدْخِلُهُمْ ظِلًّا ظَلِيلًا
*Na wale walio amini na wakatenda mema tutawaingiza katika Pepo zipitazo mito kati yake kwa kudumu humo milele. Huko watakuwa na wake walio takasika, na tutawaingiza katika vivuli vizuri kweli.
*As for those who have faith and do righteous deeds, We shall admit them into gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them forever. In it, there will be chaste mates for them, and We shall admit them into a deep shade.

4:58
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تُؤَدُّوا الْأَمَانَاتِ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهَا وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَنْ تَحْكُمُوا بِالْعَدْلِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُمْ بِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا
*Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu anakuamrisheni mzirudishe amana kwa wenyewe. Na mnapo hukumu baina ya watu mhukumu kwa uadilifu. Hakika haya anayo kuwaidhini Mwenyezi Mungu ni mazuri sana. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mwenye kusikia, Mwenye kuona.
*Indeed Allah commands you to deliver the trusts to their [rightful] owners, and to judge with fairness when you judge between people. Excellent indeed is what Allah advises you. Indeed Allah is all-hearing, all-seeing.

4:59
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ ۖ فَإِنْ تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلًا
*Enyi mlio amini! Mt´iini Mwenyezi Mungu, na mt´iini Mtume na wenye madaraka katika nyinyi. Na mkizozana katika jambo basi lirudisheni kwa Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume, ikiwa mnamuamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Siku ya Mwisho. Hayo ndiyo bora zaidi na ndiyo yenye mwisho mwema.
*O you who have faith! Obey Allah and obey the Apostle and those vested with authority among you. And if you dispute concerning anything, refer it to Allah and the Apostle, if you have faith in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more favourable in outcome.

4:60
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَتَحَاكَمُوا إِلَى الطَّاغُوتِ وَقَدْ أُمِرُوا أَنْ يَكْفُرُوا بِهِ وَيُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ يُضِلَّهُمْ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا
*Huwaoni wale wanao dai kwamba wameamini yale yaliyo teremshwa kwako na yaliyo teremshwa kabla yako? Wanataka wakahukumiwe kwa njia ya upotofu, na hali wameamrishwa wakatae hayo! Na Shet´ani anataka kuwapotezelea mbali.
*Have you not regarded those who claim that they believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you? They desire to seek the judgment of fake deities, though they were commanded to reject them, and Satan desires to lead them astray into far error.

|
4:61
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا إِلَىٰ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُولِ رَأَيْتَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَنْكَ صُدُودًا
*Na wanapo ambiwa: Njooni kwenye yale aliyo yateremsha Mwenyezi Mungu, na njooni kwa Mtume; utawaona wanaafiki wanakukwepa kwa upinzani.
*When they are told, ‘Come to what Allah has sent down and [come] to the Apostle,’ you see the hypocrites keep away from you aversely.
|
|
4:62
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ جَاءُوكَ يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَا إِلَّا إِحْسَانًا وَتَوْفِيقًا
*Basi inakuwaje unapo wasibu msiba kwa sababu ya yale iliyo tanguliza mikono yao? Hapo tena hukujia wakiapa kwa Mwenyezi Mungu wakisema: Hatukutaka ila wema na mapatano.
*But how will it be when an affliction visits them because of what their hands have sent ahead? Then they will come to you, swearing by Allah, ‘We desired nothing but to do good and to bring about comity.’
|
|
4:63
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ مَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَعِظْهُمْ وَقُلْ لَهُمْ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ قَوْلًا بَلِيغًا
*Hao ndio wale ambao Mwenyezi Mungu anayajua yaliyomo ndani ya nyoyo zao. Basi waachilie mbali, uwape mawaidha na uwaambie maneno ya kuathiri na kuingia katika nafsi zao.
*They are the ones whom Allah knows as to what is in their hearts. So let them alone, and advise them, and speak to them concerning themselves far-reaching words.

|
4:64
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا لِيُطَاعَ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذْ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ جَاءُوكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا اللَّهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُولُ لَوَجَدُوا اللَّهَ تَوَّابًا رَحِيمًا
*Na hatukumtuma Mtume yeyote ila at´iiwe kwa idhini ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na lau pale walipo jidhulumu nafsi zao wangeli kujia, wakamwomba Mwenyezi Mungu msamaha, na Mtume akawaombea msamaha, hapana shaka wangeli mkuta Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kupokea toba na Mwenye kurehemu.
*We did not send any apostle but to be obeyed by Allah’s leave. Had they, when they wronged themselves, come to you and pleaded to Allah for forgiveness, and the Apostle had pleaded for them [to Allah]for forgiveness, they would have surely found Allah all-clement, all-merciful.
|
|
4:65
فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّىٰ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا
*La! Naapa kwa Mola wako Mlezi! Hawataamini mpaka wakufanye wewe ndiye muamuzi katika yale wanayo khitalifiana, kisha wasione uzito katika nyoyo zao juu ya hukumu utayo toa, na wanyenykee kabisa.
*But no, by your Lord! They will not believe until they make you a judge in their disputes, then do not find within their hearts any dissent to your verdict and submit in full submission.

|
4:66
وَلَوْ أَنَّا كَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَنِ اقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ أَوِ اخْرُجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ مَا فَعَلُوهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ فَعَلُوا مَا يُوعَظُونَ بِهِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ تَثْبِيتًا
*Na lau kuwa tumewaamrisha: Jiueni, au tokeni majumbani kwenu, wasingeli fanya hayo ila wachache tu miongoni mwao. Na lau kama wangeli fanya walio waidhiwa ingeli kuwa bora kwao na uthibitisho wa nguvu zaidi.
*Had We prescribed for them, [commanding]: ‘Slay [the guilty among] your folks or leave your habitations,’ they would not have done it except a few of them. And if they had done as they were advised, it would have been better for them and stronger in confirming [their faith].

|
4:67
وَإِذًا لَآتَيْنَاهُمْ مِنْ لَدُنَّا أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
*Na hapo tunge wapa malipo makubwa kutoka kwetu.
*Then We would surely have given them from Us a great reward,
|
|
4:68
وَلَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمًا
*Na tungeli waongoa Njia iliyo nyooka.
*and We would have guided them to a straight path.
|
|
4:69
وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ ۚ وَحَسُنَ أُولَٰئِكَ رَفِيقًا
*Na wenye kumt´ii Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume, hao wa pamoja na wale alio waneemesha Mwenyezi Mungu miongoni mwa Manabii, na Masiddiqi, na Mashahidi, na Watu wema. Na uzuri ulioje kuwa pamoja na watu hao!
*Whoever obeys Allah and the Apostle—they are with those whom Allah has blessed, including the prophets and the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous, and excellent companions are they!
|
|
4:70
ذَٰلِكَ الْفَضْلُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ عَلِيمًا
*Hiyo ni fadhila itokayo kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi wa kutosha.
*That is the grace of Allah, and Allah suffices as knower [of His creatures].
|
|
4:71
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا خُذُوا حِذْرَكُمْ فَانْفِرُوا ثُبَاتٍ أَوِ انْفِرُوا جَمِيعًا
*Enyi mlio amini! Chukueni hadhari yenu! Na mtoke kwa vikosi au tokeni nyote pamoja!
*O you who have faith! Take your precautions, then go forth in companies, or go forth en masse.
|
|
4:72
وَإِنَّ مِنْكُمْ لَمَنْ لَيُبَطِّئَنَّ فَإِنْ أَصَابَتْكُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ قَالَ قَدْ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيَّ إِذْ لَمْ أَكُنْ مَعَهُمْ شَهِيدًا
*Na yupo kati yenu anaye bakia nyuma; na ukikusibuni msiba husema: Mwenyezi Mungu kanifanyia kheri sikuwa nao.
*Among you is indeed he who drags his feet, and should an affliction visit you, he says, ‘It was certainly Allah’s blessing that I did not accompany them!’
|
|
4:73
وَلَئِنْ أَصَابَكُمْ فَضْلٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ لَيَقُولَنَّ كَأَنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ مَوَدَّةٌ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ مَعَهُمْ فَأَفُوزَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا
*Na ikikufikieni fadhila kutoka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu husema - kama kwamba hapakuwa mapenzi baina yenu naye: Laiti ningeli kuwa pamoja nao nikafanikiwa mafanikio makubwa.
*But should a bounty from Allah come to you, he will say—as if there were no [tie of friendship and] affection between you and him—‘I wish I were with them so that I had achieved a great success!’
|
|
4:74
فَلْيُقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ الَّذِينَ يَشْرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا بِالْآخِرَةِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيُقْتَلْ أَوْ يَغْلِبْ فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
*Basi nawapigane katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu wale ambao wanao uza uhai wa dunia kwa Akhera. Na anaye pigana katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu kisha akauliwa au akashinda basi tutakuja mpa ujira mkubwa.
*Let those who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter fight in the way of Allah; and whoever fights in the way of Allah, and then is slain, or he subdues [the enemy], We shall soon give him a great reward.
|
|
4:75
وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ نَصِيرًا
*Na mna nini msipigane katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu na ya wale wanao onewa, wanaume na wanawake na watoto, ambao husema: Mola Mlezi wetu! Tutoe katika mji huu ambao watu wake ni madhaalimu, na tujaalie tuwe na mlinzi anaye toka kwako, na tujaalie tuwe na wa kutunusuru anaye toka kwako.
*Why should you not fight in the way of Allah and the oppressed men, women, and children, who say, ‘Our Lord, bring us out of this town whose people are oppressors, and appoint for us a guardian from Yourself, and appoint for us a helper from Yourself’?
|
|
4:76
الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ الطَّاغُوتِ فَقَاتِلُوا أَوْلِيَاءَ الشَّيْطَانِ ۖ إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيفًا
*Walio amini wanapigana katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na walio kufuru wanapiana katika njia ya upotofu. Basi piganeni na marafiki wa Shet´ani. Hakika hila za Shet´ani ni dhaifu.
*Those who have faith fight in the way of Allah, and those who are faithless fight in the way of fake gods. So fight the friends of Satan; indeed the stratagems of Satan are always flimsy.

|
4:77
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ قِيلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتَالُ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ النَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ أَوْ أَشَدَّ خَشْيَةً ۚ وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا الْقِتَالَ لَوْلَا أَخَّرْتَنَا إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ ۗ قُلْ مَتَاعُ الدُّنْيَا قَلِيلٌ وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا
*Je, huwaoni wale walio ambiwa: Izuieni mikono yenu, na mshike Sala na mtoe Zaka. Na walipo amrishwa kupigana, mara kundi moja kati yao liliwaogopa watu kama kumwogopa Mwenyezi Mungu, au kwa khofu kubwa zaidi. Na wakasema: Mola Mlezi wetu! Kwa nini umetuamrisha kupigana? Laiti unge tuakhirishia kiasi ya muda kidogo hivi! Sema: Starehe ya dunia ni ndogo, na Akhera ni bora zaidi kwa mwenye kuchamngu. Wala hamtadhulumiwa hata uzi wa kokwa ya tende.
*Have you not regarded those who were told, ‘Keep your hands off [from warfare], and maintain the prayer and give the zakat’? But when fighting was prescribed for them, behold, a part of them feared the people as if fearing Allah, or were even more afraid, and they said, ‘Our Lord! Why did You prescribe fighting for us? Why did You not respite us for a short time?!’ Say, ‘The enjoyments of this world are trifle and the Hereafter is better for the Godwary, and you will not be wronged so much as a single date-thread.

4:78
أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُوا يُدْرِكْكُمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُشَيَّدَةٍ ۗ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُوا هَٰذِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُوا هَٰذِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ ۚ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَالِ هَٰؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ لَا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثًا
*Popote mlipo mauti yatakufikieni, na hata mkiwa katika ngome zilizo na nguvu. Na likiwafikilia jema wanasema: Hili limetoka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na likiwafikilia ovu wanasema: Hili limetoka kwako wewe. Sema: Yote yanatokana na Mwenyezi Mungu. Basi wana nini watu hawa hata hawakaribii kufahamu maneno?
*Wherever you may be death will overtake you, even if you were in fortified towers.’ If any good befalls them, they say, ‘This is from Allah;’ and when an ill befalls them, they say, ‘This is from you.’ Say, ‘All is from Allah.’ What is the matter with these people that they would not understand any matter?

4:79
مَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِنْ نَفْسِكَ ۚ وَأَرْسَلْنَاكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُولًا ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا
*Jema lilio kufikia limetokana na Mwenyezi Mungu. Na ovu lilio kusibu linatokana na nafsi yako. Nasi tumekutuma kwa watu uwe ni Mtume. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni shahidi wa kutosha.
*Whatever good befalls you is from Allah; and whatever ill befalls you is from yourself. We sent you as an apostle to mankind, and Allah suffices as witness.

4:80
مَنْ يُطِعِ الرَّسُولَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ ۖ وَمَنْ تَوَلَّىٰ فَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا
*Mwenye kumt´ii Mtume basi ndio amemt´ii Mwenyezi Mungu. Na anaye kengeuka, basi Sisi hatukukutuma wewe uwe ni mlinzi wao.
*Whoever obeys the Apostle certainly obeys Allah; and as for those who turn their backs [on you]; We have not sent you to keep watch over them.

4:81
وَيَقُولُونَ طَاعَةٌ فَإِذَا بَرَزُوا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ بَيَّتَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ غَيْرَ الَّذِي تَقُولُ ۖ وَاللَّهُ يَكْتُبُ مَا يُبَيِّتُونَ ۖ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا
*Na wanasema: Tunat´ii. Lakini wanapo toka kwako kundi moja miongoni mwao hupanga njama usiku kinyume na unayo yasema. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anayaandika yote hayo wanayo yapangia njama za usiku. Basi waachilie mbali, na umtegemee Mwenyezi Mungu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mtegemewa wa kutosha.
*They profess obedience [to you], but when they go out from your presence, a group of them conspire overnight [to do] something other than what you say. But Allah records what they conspire overnight. So disregard them and put your trust in Allah, for Allah suffices as trustee.

|
4:82
أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ۚ وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِنْدِ غَيْرِ اللَّهِ لَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ اخْتِلَافًا كَثِيرًا
*Hebu hawaizingatii hii Qur´ani? Na lau kuwa imetoka kwa asiye kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu bila ya shaka wangeli kuta ndani yake khitilafu nyingi.
*Do they not contemplate the Quran? Had it been from [someone] other than Allah, they would have surely found much discrepancy in it.

4:83
وَإِذَا جَاءَهُمْ أَمْرٌ مِنَ الْأَمْنِ أَوِ الْخَوْفِ أَذَاعُوا بِهِ ۖ وَلَوْ رَدُّوهُ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ وَإِلَىٰ أُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْهُمْ لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَنْبِطُونَهُ مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لَاتَّبَعْتُمُ الشَّيْطَانَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
*Na linapo wafikia jambo lolote lilio khusu amani au la kitisho wao hulitangaza. Na lau kuwa wangeli lipeleka kwa Mtume na kwa wenye mamlaka kati yao, wale wanao chunguza wangeli lijua. Na lau kuwa si fadhila ya Mwenyezi Mungu juu yenu na rehema yake mngeli mfuata Shet´ani ila wachache wenu tu.
*When a report of safety or alarm comes to them, they immediately broadcast it; but had they referred it to the Apostle or to those vested with authority among them, those of them who investigate would have ascertained it. And were it not for Allah’s grace upon you and His mercy, you would have surely followed Satan, [all] except a few.

|
4:84
فَقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَا تُكَلَّفُ إِلَّا نَفْسَكَ ۚ وَحَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۖ عَسَى اللَّهُ أَنْ يَكُفَّ بَأْسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ وَاللَّهُ أَشَدُّ بَأْسًا وَأَشَدُّ تَنْكِيلًا
*Basi pigana katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Hukalifishwi ila nafsi yako tu. Na wahimize Waumini. Huenda Mwenyezi Mungu akayazuia mashambulio ya walio kufuru. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mkali zaidi wa kushambulia na Mkali zaidi wa kuadhibu.
*So fight in the way of Allah: you are responsible only for yourself, but urge on the faithful [to fight]. Maybe Allah will curb the might of the faithless, for Allah is greatest in might and severest in punishment.

4:85
مَنْ يَشْفَعْ شَفَاعَةً حَسَنَةً يَكُنْ لَهُ نَصِيبٌ مِنْهَا ۖ وَمَنْ يَشْفَعْ شَفَاعَةً سَيِّئَةً يَكُنْ لَهُ كِفْلٌ مِنْهَا ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُقِيتًا
*Mwenye kusaidia msaada mwema ana fungu lake katika hayo, na mwenye kusaidia msaada mwovu naye ana sehemu yake katika hayo. Na hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye uweza na ujuzi juu ya kila kitu.
*Whoever intercedes for a good cause shall receive a share of it, and whoever intercedes for an evil cause shall share its burden, and Allah is prepotent over all things.

|
4:86
وَإِذَا حُيِّيتُمْ بِتَحِيَّةٍ فَحَيُّوا بِأَحْسَنَ مِنْهَا أَوْ رُدُّوهَا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَسِيبًا
*Na mnapo amkiwa kwa maamkio yoyote, basi nanyi itikieni kwa yaliyo bora kuliko hayo, au rejesheni hayo hayo. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kuhisabu kila kitu.
*When you are greeted with a salute, greet with a better one than it, or return it; indeed Allah takes account of all things.

|
4:87
اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۗ وَمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حَدِيثًا
*Mwenyezi Mungu, hapana mungu isipo kuwa Yeye. Kwa yakini atakukusanyeni Siku ya Kiyama. Halina shaka hilo. Na ni nani msema kweli kuliko Mwenyezi Mungu?
*Allah—there is no god except Him—will surely gather you on the Day of Resurrection, in which there is no doubt; and who is more truthful in speech than Allah?

|
4:88
فَمَا لَكُمْ فِي الْمُنَافِقِينَ فِئَتَيْنِ وَاللَّهُ أَرْكَسَهُمْ بِمَا كَسَبُوا ۚ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَهْدُوا مَنْ أَضَلَّ اللَّهُ ۖ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ سَبِيلًا
*Mmekuwaje kuwa makundi mawili kwa khabari ya wanaafiki, na hali Mwenyezi Mungu amewageuza kwa sababu ya yale waliyo yachuma? Je! Mnataka kumwona mwongofu ambaye Mwenyezi Mungu amemhukumu kuwa kapotea? Na aliye mhukumu Mwenyezi Mungu kuwa amekwisha potea wewe hutampatia njia.
*Why should you be two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allah has made them relapse [into unfaith] because of their deeds? Do you desire to guide someone Allah has led astray? Whomever Allah leads astray, you will never find any way for him.

4:89
وَدُّوا لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ كَمَا كَفَرُوا فَتَكُونُونَ سَوَاءً ۖ فَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ وَجَدْتُمُوهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا
*Wanapenda lau kuwa nanyi mnge kufuru kama walivyo kufuru wao, ili muwe sawa sawa. Basi msiwafanye marafiki miongoni mwao mpaka wahame kwa ajili ya Dini ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na wakikengeuka basi wakamateni na wauweni popote mnapo wapata. Wala msimfanye rafiki katika wao wala msaidizi.
*They are eager that you should disbelieve like they have disbelieved, so that you all become alike. So do not make friends [with anyone] from among them, until they migrate in the way of Allah. But if they turn their backs, seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and do not take from among them friends or helpers,

|
4:90
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيثَاقٌ أَوْ جَاءُوكُمْ حَصِرَتْ صُدُورُهُمْ أَنْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ أَوْ يُقَاتِلُوا قَوْمَهُمْ ۚ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَسَلَّطَهُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ فَلَقَاتَلُوكُمْ ۚ فَإِنِ اعْتَزَلُوكُمْ فَلَمْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ وَأَلْقَوْا إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَمَ فَمَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سَبِيلًا
*Isipokuwa wale walio fungamana na watu ambao mna ahadi baina yenu na wao, au wanakujieni na vifua vyao vina dhiki kupigana nanyi, au kupigana na watu wao. Na lau angeli penda Mwenyezi Mungu angeli wasaliti juu yenu wakapigana nanyi. Basi wakijitenga nanyi, wasipigane nanyi, na wakakuleteeni amani, basi Mwenyezi Mungu hakukupeni njia kupigana nao.
*excepting those who join a people between whom and you there is a treaty, or such as come to you with hearts reluctant to fight you, or to fight their own people. Had Allah wished, He would have imposed them upon you, and then they would have surely fought you. So if they keep out of your way and do not fight you, and offer you peace, then Allah does not allow you any course [of action] against them.

4:91
سَتَجِدُونَ آخَرِينَ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَأْمَنُوكُمْ وَيَأْمَنُوا قَوْمَهُمْ كُلَّ مَا رُدُّوا إِلَى الْفِتْنَةِ أُرْكِسُوا فِيهَا ۚ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَعْتَزِلُوكُمْ وَيُلْقُوا إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَمَ وَيَكُفُّوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكُمْ جَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانًا مُبِينًا
*Mtawakuta wengine wanataka wapate salama kwenu na salama kwa watu wao. Kila wakirudishwa kwenye fitna hudidimizwa humo. Ikiwa hawajitengi nanyi, na wakakuleteeni salama, na wakazuia mikono yao, basi wakamateni na wauweni popote mnapo wakuta. Na juu ya hao ndio tumekupeni hoja zilizo wazi.
*You will find others desiring to be secure from you, and secure from their own people; yet whenever they are called back to polytheism, they relapse into it. So if they do not keep out of your way, nor offer you peace, nor keep their hands off [from fighting], then seize them and kill them wherever you confront them, and it is such against whom We have given you a clear sanction.

4:92
وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يَقْتُلَ مُؤْمِنًا إِلَّا خَطَأً ۚ وَمَنْ قَتَلَ مُؤْمِنًا خَطَأً فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُؤْمِنَةٍ وَدِيَةٌ مُسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَصَّدَّقُوا ۚ فَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ عَدُوٍّ لَكُمْ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُؤْمِنَةٍ ۖ وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيثَاقٌ فَدِيَةٌ مُسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ وَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُؤْمِنَةٍ ۖ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
*Na haiwi Muumini kumuuwa Muumini ila kwa kukosea. Na mwenye kumuuwa Muumini kwa kukosea basi amkomboe mtumwa aliye Muumini, na atoe diya kuwapa jamaa za maiti, isipo kuwa waache wenyewe kuwa ni sadaka. Na akiwa ni jamaa wa maadui zenu, hali yeye ni Muumini, basi ni kumkomboa mtumwa aliye Muumini. Na akiwa ni miongoni wa watu ambao pana ahadi baina yenu na wao basi wapewe diya watu wake na akombolewe mtumwa Muumini. Na asiye pata, basi afunge miezi miwili mfululizo, kuwa ni toba kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi na Mwenye hikima.
*A believer may not kill another believer, unless it is by mistake. Anyone who kills a believer by mistake should set free a believing slave, and pay blood-money to his family, unless they remit it in charity. If he belongs to a people that are hostile to you but is a believer, then a believing slave is to be set free. And if he belongs to a people with whom you have a treaty, the blood-money is to be paid to his family and a believing slave is to be set free. He who cannot afford [to pay the blood-money], must fast two successive months as a penance from Allah, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

4:93
وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا
*Na mwenye kumuuwa Muumini kwa kukusudia, basi malipo yake ni Jahannamu humo atadumu, na Mwenyezi Mungu amemkasirikia, na amemlaani, na amemuandalia adhabu kubwa.
*Should anyone kill a believer intentionally, his requital shall be hell, to remain in it [forever]; Allah shall be wrathful at him and curse him and He shall prepare for him a great punishment.

|
4:94
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَتَبَيَّنُوا وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَنْ أَلْقَىٰ إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامَ لَسْتَ مُؤْمِنًا تَبْتَغُونَ عَرَضَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فَعِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَغَانِمُ كَثِيرَةٌ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كُنْتُمْ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَتَبَيَّنُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا
*Enyi mlio amini! Mnapo safiri katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu basi hakikisheni, wala msimwambie anaye kutoleeni salamu: Wewe si Muumini; kwa kutaka manufaa ya maisha ya dunia hii, hali ya kuwa kwa Mwenyezi Mungu zipo ghanima nyingi. Hivyo ndivyo mlivyo kuwa nyinyi zamani, na Mwenyezi Mungu akakuneemesheni. Basi chunguzeni sawa sawa. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu anazo khabari za mnayo yatenda.
*O you who have faith! When you issue forth in the way of Allah, try to ascertain: do not say to someone who offers you peace, ‘You are not a believer,’ seeking the transitory wares of the life of this world. Yet with Allah are plenteous gains. You too were such earlier, but Allah did you a favour. Therefore, do ascertain. Allah is indeed well aware of what you do.

4:95
لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ ۚ فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ دَرَجَةً ۚ وَكُلًّا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَفَضَّلَ اللَّهُ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
*Hawawi sawa Waumini wanao kaa tu wala hawanadharura, na wale wanao pigana katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu kwa mali yao na nafsi zao. Mwenyezi Mungu amewatukuza cheo wale wanao pigana kwa mali yao na nafsi zao kuliko wale wanao kaa tu. Ingawa Mwenyezi Mungu amewaahidi wote mashukio mema, lakini Mwenyezi Mungu amewafadhili wanao pigana kwa ujira mkubwa kuliko wanao kaa tu.
*Not equal are those of the faithful who sit back—excepting those who suffer from some disability—and those who wage jihad in the way of Allah with their possession and their persons. Allah has graced those who wage jihad with their possessions and their persons by a degree over those who sit back; yet to each Allah has promised the best reward, and Allah has graced those who wage jihad over those who sit back with a great reward:

|
4:96
دَرَجَاتٍ مِنْهُ وَمَغْفِرَةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا
*Ni vyeo hivyo vinavyo toka kwake, na maghfira na rehema. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwingi wa maghfira na Mwenye kurehemu.
*ranks from Him, forgiveness, and mercy, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

|
4:97
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ ظَالِمِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ قَالُوا فِيمَ كُنْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا كُنَّا مُسْتَضْعَفِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ قَالُوا أَلَمْ تَكُنْ أَرْضُ اللَّهِ وَاسِعَةً فَتُهَاجِرُوا فِيهَا ۚ فَأُولَٰئِكَ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرًا
*Hakika Malaika watawaambia wale ambao wamewafisha nao wamejidhulumu nafsi zao: Mlikuwa vipi? Watasema: Tulikuwa tunaonewa. Watawaambia: Kwani ardhi ya Mwenyezi Mungu haikuwa na wasaa wa kuhamia humo? Basi hao makaazi yao ni Jahannamu, nayo ni marejeo mabaya kabisa.
*Indeed, those whom the angels take away while they are wronging themselves, they ask, ‘What state were you in?’ They reply, ‘We were oppressed in the land.’ They say, ‘Was not Allah’s earth vast enough so that you might migrate in it?’ The refuge of such shall be hell, and it is an evil destination.

|
4:98
إِلَّا الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ حِيلَةً وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ سَبِيلًا
*Isipo kuwa wale walio kuwa wanyonge miongoni mwa wanaume na wanawake na watoto wasio na uweza wa hila ya kuongoza njia ya kuhama.
*Except the oppressed among men, women and children, who have neither access to any means nor are guided to any way.

|
4:99
فَأُولَٰئِكَ عَسَى اللَّهُ أَنْ يَعْفُوَ عَنْهُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا
*Basi hao huenda Mwenyezi Mungu akawasamehe. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwingi wa kusamehe, Mwingi wa maghfira.
*Maybe Allah will excuse them, for Allah is all-excusing, all-forgiving.

|
4:100
وَمَنْ يُهَاجِرْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ يَجِدْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مُرَاغَمًا كَثِيرًا وَسَعَةً ۚ وَمَنْ يَخْرُجْ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ مُهَاجِرًا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكْهُ الْمَوْتُ فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا
*Na mwenye kuhama katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu atapata pengi duniani pa kukimbilia, na atapata wasaa. Na anaye toka nyumbani kwake kuhama kwa ajili ya Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, kisha yakamfika mauti njiani basi umethibiti ujira wake kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mwenye maghfira na Mwenye kurehemu.
*Whoever migrates in the way of Allah will find many havens and plenitude in the earth. And whoever leaves his home migrating toward Allah and His Apostle, and is then overtaken by death, his reward shall certainly fall on Allah, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

4:101
وَإِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَقْصُرُوا مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ إِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ إِنَّ الْكَافِرِينَ كَانُوا لَكُمْ عَدُوًّا مُبِينًا
*Na mnapo safiri katika nchi si vibaya kwenu kama mkifupisha Sala, iwapo mnachelea wasije wale walio kufuru wakakuleteeni maudhi. Hakika makafiri ni maadui zenu walio wazi wazi.
*When you journey in the land, there is no sin upon you in shortening the prayers, if you fear that the faithless may trouble you; indeed the faithless are your manifest enemies.

4:102
وَإِذَا كُنْتَ فِيهِمْ فَأَقَمْتَ لَهُمُ الصَّلَاةَ فَلْتَقُمْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ مَعَكَ وَلْيَأْخُذُوا أَسْلِحَتَهُمْ فَإِذَا سَجَدُوا فَلْيَكُونُوا مِنْ وَرَائِكُمْ وَلْتَأْتِ طَائِفَةٌ أُخْرَىٰ لَمْ يُصَلُّوا فَلْيُصَلُّوا مَعَكَ وَلْيَأْخُذُوا حِذْرَهُمْ وَأَسْلِحَتَهُمْ ۗ وَدَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْ تَغْفُلُونَ عَنْ أَسْلِحَتِكُمْ وَأَمْتِعَتِكُمْ فَيَمِيلُونَ عَلَيْكُمْ مَيْلَةً وَاحِدَةً ۚ وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِنْ كَانَ بِكُمْ أَذًى مِنْ مَطَرٍ أَوْ كُنْتُمْ مَرْضَىٰ أَنْ تَضَعُوا أَسْلِحَتَكُمْ ۖ وَخُذُوا حِذْرَكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَدَّ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُهِينًا
*Na unapo kuwa pamoja nao, ukawasalisha, basi kundi moja miongoni mwao wasimame pamoja nawe na wachukue silaha zao. Na watakapo maliza sijida zao, basi nawende nyuma yenu, na lije kundi jingine ambalo halijasali, lisali pamoja nawe. Nao wachukue hadhari yao na silaha zao. Walio kufuru wanapenda mghafilike na silaha zenu na vifaa vyenu ili wakuvamieni mvamio wa mara moja. Wala si vibaya kwenu ikiwa mnaona udhia kwa sababu ya mvua au mkawa wagonjwa, mkaziweka silaha zenu. Na chukueni hadhari yenu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu amewaandalia makafiri adhabu ya kudhalilisha.
*When you are among them, leading them in prayers, let a group of them stand with you, carrying their weapons. And when they have done the prostrations, let them withdraw to the rear, then let the other group which has not prayed come and pray with you, taking their precautions and [bearing] their weapons. The faithless are eager that you should be oblivious of your weapons and your baggage, so that they could assault you all at once. But there is no sin upon you, if you are troubled by rain or are sick, to set aside your weapons; but take your precautions. Indeed Allah has prepared for the faithless a humiliating punishment.

|
4:103
فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِكُمْ ۚ فَإِذَا اطْمَأْنَنْتُمْ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ ۚ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَوْقُوتًا
*Mkisha sali basi mkumbukeni Mwenyezi Mungu mkisimama, na mkikaa, na mnapo jinyoosha kwa kulala. Na mtapo tulia basi shikeni Sala kama dasturi. Kwani hakika Sala kwa Waumini ni faradhi iliyo wekewa nyakati maalumu.
*When you have finished the prayers, remember Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down, and when you feel secure, perform the [complete] prayers, for the prayer is indeed a timed prescription for the faithful.

|
4:104
وَلَا تَهِنُوا فِي ابْتِغَاءِ الْقَوْمِ ۖ إِنْ تَكُونُوا تَأْلَمُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَأْلَمُونَ كَمَا تَأْلَمُونَ ۖ وَتَرْجُونَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَرْجُونَ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
*Wala msifanye ulegevu kuwafukuzia kaumu ya maadui. Ikiwa mnaumia, basi nao pia wanaumia kama mnavyo umia nyinyi. Nanyi mnataraji kwa Mwenyezi Mungu wasio yataraji wao. Na hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi na Mwenye hikima.
*Do not slacken in the pursuit of these people. If you are suffering, they are also suffering like you, but you expect from Allah what they do not expect, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

|
4:105
إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ لِتَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِمَا أَرَاكَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَلَا تَكُنْ لِلْخَائِنِينَ خَصِيمًا
*Hakika Sisi tumekuteremshia Kitabu hiki kwa haki ili upate kuhukumu baina ya watu kwa alivyo kuonyesha Mwenyezi Mungu. Wala usiwe mtetezi wa makhaaini.
*Indeed We have sent down to you the Book with the truth, so that you may judge between the people by what Allah has shown you; do not be an advocate for the traitors,

|
4:106
وَاسْتَغْفِرِ اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا
*Na muombe maghfira Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwingi wa maghfira, Mwenye kurehemu.
*and plead to Allah for forgiveness; indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

|
4:107
وَلَا تُجَادِلْ عَنِ الَّذِينَ يَخْتَانُونَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنْ كَانَ خَوَّانًا أَثِيمًا
*Wala usiwatetee wanao khini nafsi zao. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu hampendi aliye khaaini, mwenye dhambi.
*And do not plead for those who betray themselves; indeed Allah does not like someone who is treacherous and sinful.

|
4:108
يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمْ إِذْ يُبَيِّتُونَ مَا لَا يَرْضَىٰ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطًا
*Wanataka kujificha kwa watu, wala hawataki kujificha kwa Mwenyezi Mungu, naye yu pamoja nao pale wanapo panga njama usiku kwa maneno asiyo yapenda. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anayajua vyema wanayo yatenda.
*They try to hide [their real character] from people, but they do not try to hide from Allah, though He is with them when they conspire overnight with a discourse that He does not approve of. And Allah comprehends whatever they do.

|
4:109
هَا أَنْتُمْ هَٰؤُلَاءِ جَادَلْتُمْ عَنْهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فَمَنْ يُجَادِلُ اللَّهَ عَنْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَمْ مَنْ يَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكِيلًا
*Hivyo nyinyi mmewatetea hawa katika uhai huu wa duniani. Basi nani atakaye watetea kwa Mwenyezi Mungu Siku ya Kiyama? Au ni nani atakuwa wakili wao wa kumtegemea?
*Aha! There you are, pleading for them in the life of this world! But who will plead for them with Allah on the Day of Resurrection, or will be their defender?

|
4:110
وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا أَوْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ اللَّهَ يَجِدِ اللَّهَ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا
*Na anaye tenda uovu au akajidhulumu nafsi yake, kisha akaomba maghfira kwa Mwenyezi Mungu, atamkuta Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwingi wa maghfira, Mwenye kurehemu.
*Whoever commits evil or wrongs himself and then pleads to Allah for forgiveness, will find Allah all-forgiving, all-merciful.

|
4:111
وَمَنْ يَكْسِبْ إِثْمًا فَإِنَّمَا يَكْسِبُهُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
*Na anaye chuma dhambi, basi ameichumia nafsi yake mwenyewe. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi, Mwenye hikima.
*Whoever commits a sin, commits it only against himself; and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

|
4:112
وَمَنْ يَكْسِبْ خَطِيئَةً أَوْ إِثْمًا ثُمَّ يَرْمِ بِهِ بَرِيئًا فَقَدِ احْتَمَلَ بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُبِينًا
*Na atendaye kosa au dhambi kisha akamsingizia asiye na kosa, basi amejitwika dhulma na dhambi iliyo wazi.
*But someone who commits an iniquity or sin and then accuses an innocent person of it, is indeed guilty of calumny and a flagrant sin.

|
4:113
وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لَهَمَّتْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُضِلُّوكَ وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ إِلَّا أَنْفُسَهُمْ ۖ وَمَا يَضُرُّونَكَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۚ وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَكَ مَا لَمْ تَكُنْ تَعْلَمُ ۚ وَكَانَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ عَظِيمًا
*Na lau kuwa si fadhila ya Mwenyezi Mungu juu yako na rehema yake, kundi moja kati yao linge dhamiria kukupoteza. Wala hawapotezi ila nafsi zao, wala hawawezi kukudhuru kwa lolote. Na Mwenyezi Mungu amekuteremshia Kitabu na hikima na amekufundisha uliyo kuwa huyajui. Na fadhila za Mwenyezi Mungu zilizo juu yako ni kubwa.
*Were it not for Allah’s grace and His mercy on you, a group of them were bent on leading you astray; but they do not mislead anyone except themselves, and they cannot do you any harm. Allah has sent down to you the Book and wisdom, and He has taught you what you did not know, and great is Allah’s grace upon you.

|
4:114
لَا خَيْرَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنْ نَجْوَاهُمْ إِلَّا مَنْ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَوْ مَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ إِصْلَاحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللَّهِ فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
*Hakuna kheri katika mengi ya wanayo shauriana kwa siri, isipo kuwa kwa yule anaye amrisha kutoa sadaka, au kutenda mema, au kupatanisha baina ya watu. Na mwenye kufanya hayo kwa kutaka radhi ya Mwenyezi Mungu, basi tutakuja mpa ujira mkubwa.
*There is no good in much of their secret talks, excepting him who enjoins charity or what is right or reconciliation between people, and whoever does that, seeking Allah’s pleasure, soon We shall give him a great reward.
|
|
4:115
وَمَنْ يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُولَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصْلِهِ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرًا
*Na anaye mpinga Mtume baada ya kumdhihirikia uwongofu, na akafuata njia isiyo kuwa ya Waumini, tutamuelekeza aliko elekea, na tutamuingiza katika Jahannamu. Na hayo ni marejeo maovu.
*Whoever defies the Apostle, after the guidance has become manifest to him, and follows a way other than that of the faithful, We shall abandon him to his devices and We shall make him enter hell, and it is an evil destination.

|
4:116
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَنْ يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا
*Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu hasamehi kushirikishwa na kitu. Lakini Yeye husamehe yasiyo kuwa hayo kwa amtakaye. Na anaye mshirikisha Mwenyezi Mungu basi huyo amepotea upotovu wa mbali.
*Indeed Allah does not forgive that any partner should be ascribed to Him, but He forgives anything besides that to whomever He wishes. And whoever ascribes partners to Allah has certainly strayed into far error.

|
4:117
إِنْ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ إِلَّا إِنَاثًا وَإِنْ يَدْعُونَ إِلَّا شَيْطَانًا مَرِيدًا
*Wao hawawaombi badala yake Yeye ila wanawake, wala hawamuombi ila Shet´ani aliye asi.
*They invoke none but females besides Him, and invoke none but a froward Satan,
|
|
4:118
لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ ۘ وَقَالَ لَأَتَّخِذَنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ نَصِيبًا مَفْرُوضًا
*Mwenyezi Mungu amemlaani. Naye Shet´ani alisema: Kwa yakini nitawachukua sehemu maalumu katika waja wako.
*whom Allah has cursed, and who said, ‘I will surely take of Your servants a settled share,

|
4:119
وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمْ وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمْ وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ آذَانَ الْأَنْعَامِ وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَّخِذِ الشَّيْطَانَ وَلِيًّا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ خَسِرَ خُسْرَانًا مُبِينًا
*Na hakika nitawapoteza na nitawatia matamanio, na nitawaamrisha, basi watakata masikio ya wanyama, na nitawaamrisha, basi watabadili aliyo umba Mwenyezi Mungu. Na mwenye kumfanya Shet´ani kuwa ni mlinzi wake badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu, basi huyo amekhasiri khasara ya dhaahiri.
*and I will lead them astray and give them [false] hopes, and prompt them to slit the ears of cattle, and I will prompt them to alter Allah’s creation.’ Whoever takes Satan as a guardian instead of Allah has certainly incurred a manifest loss.

|
4:120
يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيهِمْ ۖ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا
*Anawaahidi na anawatia tamaa. Na Shet´ani hawaahidi ila udanganyifu.
*He makes them promises and gives them [false] hopes, yet Satan does not promise them anything but delusion.
|
|
4:121
أُولَٰئِكَ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ عَنْهَا مَحِيصًا
*Hao makao yao ni Jahannamu, na wala hawapati makimbilio kutoka humo.
*The refuge of such shall be hell, and they will not find any escape from it.
|
|
4:122
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۖ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقًّا ۚ وَمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ اللَّهِ قِيلًا
*Na wale walio amini na wakatenda mema, tutawaingiza katika Bustani zipitayo mito kati yake. Watadumu humo milele. Ndiyo ahadi ya Mwenyezi Mungu iliyo kweli. Na nani mkweli zaidi kwa usemi kuliko Mwenyezi Mungu.
*But those who have faith and do righteous deeds, We will admit them into gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them forever—a true promise of Allah, and who is truer in speech than Allah?
|
|
4:123
لَيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَا أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ ۗ مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ وَلَا يَجِدْ لَهُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا
*Si kwa matamanio yenu, wala matamanio ya Watu wa Kitabu! Anaye fanya ubaya atalipwa kwalo, wala hatajipatia mlinzi wala wa kumnusuru, isipo kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu.
*It will be neither after your hopes nor the hopes of the People of the Book: whoever commits evil shall be requited for it, and he will not find for himself any guardian or helper besides Allah.

|
4:124
وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَٰئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ نَقِيرًا
*Na anaye fanya mema, akiwa mwanamume au mwanamke, naye ni Muumini - basi hao wataingia Peponi wala hawatadhulumiwa hata kadiri ya tundu ya kokwa ya tende.
*And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, should he be faithful—such shall enter paradise and they will not be wronged [so much as] the speck on a date-stone.

|
4:125
وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ دِينًا مِمَّنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ وَاتَّبَعَ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا ۗ وَاتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلًا
*Na nani aliye bora kwa dini kuliko yule aliye usilimisha uso wake kwa Mwenyezi Mungu, naye akawa mwema, na anafuata mila ya Ibrahim mwongofu? Na Mwenyezi Mungu alimfanya Ibrahim kuwa ni rafiki mwendani.
*Who has a better religion than him who submits his will to Allah, being virtuous, and follows the creed of Abraham, a Hanif? And Allah took Abraham for a dedicated friend.

|
4:126
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُحِيطًا
*Ni vya Mwenyezi Mungu tu vyote vilivyomo mbinguni na vilivyomo duniani. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni mwenye kuvizunguka vitu vyote.
*To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah comprehends all things.
|
|
4:127
وَيَسْتَفْتُونَكَ فِي النِّسَاءِ ۖ قُلِ اللَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِيهِنَّ وَمَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الْكِتَابِ فِي يَتَامَى النِّسَاءِ اللَّاتِي لَا تُؤْتُونَهُنَّ مَا كُتِبَ لَهُنَّ وَتَرْغَبُونَ أَنْ تَنْكِحُوهُنَّ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الْوِلْدَانِ وَأَنْ تَقُومُوا لِلْيَتَامَىٰ بِالْقِسْطِ ۚ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِهِ عَلِيمًا
*Wanakuuliza nini sharia ya wanawake. Sema: Mwenyezi Mungu ana kutoleeni fatwa juu yao, na mnayo somewa humu Kitabuni kukhusu mayatima wanawake ambao hamwapi walicho andikiwa, na mnapenda kuwaoa, na kukhusu wanyonge katika watoto, na kwamba mwasimamie mayatima kwa uadilifu. Na kheri yoyote mnayo fanya Mwenyezi Mungu anaijua.
*They seek your ruling concerning women. Say, ‘Allah gives you a ruling concerning them and what is announced to you in the Book concerning girl orphans—whom you do not give what has been prescribed for them, and yet you desire to marry them—and about the weak among children: that you should maintain the orphans with justice, and whatever good you do, indeed Allah knows it well.

|
4:128
وَإِنِ امْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنْ بَعْلِهَا نُشُوزًا أَوْ إِعْرَاضًا فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا أَنْ يُصْلِحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحًا ۚ وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ ۗ وَأُحْضِرَتِ الْأَنْفُسُ الشُّحَّ ۚ وَإِنْ تُحْسِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا
*Na mwanamke akichelea kutupwa au kutojaliwa na mumewe, basi si vibaya kwao wakisikizana kwa suluhu. Na suluhu ni bora. Na nafsi zimewekewa machoni mwake tamaa na choyo. Na mkifanya wema na mkamchamngu basi hakika Mwenyezi Mungu anazo khabari za yote mnayo yatenda.
*If a woman fears from her husband misconduct or desertion, there is no sin upon the couple if they reach a reconciliation between themselves; and reconcilement is better. The souls are prone to greed; but if you are virtuous and Godwary, Allah is indeed well aware of what you do.

4:129
وَلَنْ تَسْتَطِيعُوا أَنْ تَعْدِلُوا بَيْنَ النِّسَاءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ ۖ فَلَا تَمِيلُوا كُلَّ الْمَيْلِ فَتَذَرُوهَا كَالْمُعَلَّقَةِ ۚ وَإِنْ تُصْلِحُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا
*Wala hamtaweza kufanya uadilifu baina ya wake, hata mkikakamia. Kwa hivyo msimili moja kwa moja mkamwacha (mmojapo) kama aliye tundikwa. Na mkisikizana na mkamchamngu basi Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwingi wa maghfira na Mwenye kurehemu.
*You will not be able to be fair between wives, even if you are eager to do so. Yet do not turn away from one altogether, leaving her as if in a suspense. But if you are conciliatory and Godwary, Allah is indeed all-forgiving, all-merciful.

4:130
وَإِنْ يَتَفَرَّقَا يُغْنِ اللَّهُ كُلًّا مِنْ سَعَتِهِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ وَاسِعًا حَكِيمًا
*Na wakitengana Mwenyezi Mungu atamtosheleza kila mmoja katika wao kwa ukunjufu wake. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mkunjufu Mwenye hikima.
*But if they separate, Allah will suffice each of them out of His bounty, and Allah is all-bounteous, all-wise.

4:131
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ أَنِ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ وَإِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَنِيًّا حَمِيدًا
*Na ni vya Mwenyezi Mungu tu vyote viliomo katik mbingu na viliomo katika dunia. Na kwa hakika tuliwausia walio pewa Kitabu kabla yenu, na nyinyi pia, kwamba mumche Mwenyezi Mungu. Na mkikataa, basi ni vya Mwenyezi Mungu viliomo mbinguni na viliomo duniani. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mkwasi, anajitosha, na Msifiwa.
*To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. We have certainly enjoined those who were given the Book before you, and you, that you should be wary of Allah. But if you are faithless, [you should know that] to Allah indeed belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah is all-sufficient, all-laudable.

|
4:132
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا
*Na ni vya Mwenyezi Mungu viliomo katika mbingu na viliomo katika ardhi. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anatosha kuwa Mlinzi.
*To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah suffices as trustee.

4:133
إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ وَيَأْتِ بِآخَرِينَ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ قَدِيرًا
*Akitaka atakuondoeni, enyi watu! Na awalete wengineo. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Muweza wa hayo.
*If He wishes, He will take you away, O mankind, and bring others [in your place]; Allah has the power to do that.

|
4:134
مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا فَعِنْدَ اللَّهِ ثَوَابُ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا
*Anaye taka malipo ya dunia, basi kwa Mwenyezi Mungu yapo malipo ya dunia na Akhera. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusikia na Mwenye kuona.
*Whoever desires the reward of this world, [should know that] with Allah is the reward of this world and the Hereafter, and Allah is all-hearing, all-seeing.

4:135
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَاءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوْ عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَوِ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْأَقْرَبِينَ ۚ إِنْ يَكُنْ غَنِيًّا أَوْ فَقِيرًا فَاللَّهُ أَوْلَىٰ بِهِمَا ۖ فَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا الْهَوَىٰ أَنْ تَعْدِلُوا ۚ وَإِنْ تَلْوُوا أَوْ تُعْرِضُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا
*Enyi mlio amini! Kuweni wenye kusimamisha uadilifu, mtowao ushahidi kwa ajili ya Mwenyezi Mungu, ijapo kuwa ni juu ya nafsi zenu, au wazazi wawili na jamaa zenu. Akiwa tajiri au masikini Mwenyezi Mungu anawastahikia zaidi. Basi msifuate matamanio, mkaacha kufanya uadilifu. Na mkiupotoa au mkajitenga nao basi Mwenyezi Mungu anajua vyema mnayo yatenda.
*O you who have faith! Be maintainers of justice and witnesses for the sake of Allah, even if it should be against yourselves or [your] parents and near relatives, and whether it be [someone] rich or poor, for Allah has a greater right over them. So do not follow [your] desires, lest you should be unfair, and if you distort [the testimony] or disregard [it], Allah is indeed well aware of what you do.

4:136
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَالْكِتَابِ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ وَالْكِتَابِ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا
*Enyi mlio amini! Muaminini Mwenyezi Mungu, na Mtume wake, na Kitabu alicho kiteremsha juu ya Mtume wake, na Kitabu alicho kiteremsha kabla yake. Na anaye mkataa Mwenyezi Mungu, na Malaika wake, na Vitabu vyake, na Mitume wake, na Siku ya Akhera, basi huyo amekwisha potelea mbali.
*O you who have faith! Have faith in Allah and His Apostle and the Book that He has sent down to His Apostle and the Book He had sent down earlier. Whoever disbelieves in Allah and His angels, His Books and His apostles and the Last Day, has certainly strayed into far error.

4:137
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا ثُمَّ آمَنُوا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا ثُمَّ ازْدَادُوا كُفْرًا لَمْ يَكُنِ اللَّهُ لِيَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ وَلَا لِيَهْدِيَهُمْ سَبِيلًا
*Hakika walio amini, kisha wakakufuru, kisha wakaamini, kisha wakazidi ukafiri, Mwenyezi Mungu hakuwa wa kuwaghufiria wala wa kuwaongoa njia.
*As for those who believe and then disbelieve, then believe [again] and then disbelieve and then increase in disbelief, Allah shall never forgive them, nor shall He guide them to any way.

|
4:138
بَشِّرِ الْمُنَافِقِينَ بِأَنَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
*Wabashirie wanaafiki kwamba watapata adhabu chungu,
*Inform the hypocrites that there is a painful punishment for them
|
|
4:139
الَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۚ أَيَبْتَغُونَ عِنْدَهُمُ الْعِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا
*Wale ambao huwafanya makafiri kuwa ndio marafiki badala ya Waumini. Je! Wanataka wapate kwao utukufu? Basi hakika utukufu wote ni wa Mwenyezi Mungu.
*—those who take the faithless for allies instead of the faithful. Do they seek honour with them? [If so,] indeed all honour belongs to Allah.

|
4:140
وَقَدْ نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الْكِتَابِ أَنْ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ يُكْفَرُ بِهَا وَيُسْتَهْزَأُ بِهَا فَلَا تَقْعُدُوا مَعَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ ۚ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا مِثْلُهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَامِعُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْكَافِرِينَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ جَمِيعًا
*Naye amekwisha kuteremshieni katika Kitabu hiki ya kwamba mnapo sikia Aya za Mwenyezi Mungu zinakanushwa na zinafanyiwa kejeli, basi msikae pamoja nao, mpaka waingie katika mazungumzo mengine. Hivyo mtakuwa nanyi mfano wao hao. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu atawakusanya wanaafiki na makafiri wote pamoja katika Jahannamu,
*Certainly He has sent down to you in the Book that when you hear Allah’s signs being disbelieved and derided, do not sit with them until they engage in some other discourse, or else you [too] will be like them. Indeed Allah will gather the hypocrites and the faithless in hell all together
|
|
4:141
الَّذِينَ يَتَرَبَّصُونَ بِكُمْ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فَتْحٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ قَالُوا أَلَمْ نَكُنْ مَعَكُمْ وَإِنْ كَانَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ نَصِيبٌ قَالُوا أَلَمْ نَسْتَحْوِذْ عَلَيْكُمْ وَنَمْنَعْكُمْ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۚ فَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ وَلَنْ يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سَبِيلًا
*Wale ambao wanakungojeeni, mkipata ushindi unao toka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu wao husema: Si tulikuwa pamoja nanyi vile? Na ikiwa ni sehemu ya makafiri kushinda wao huwaambia: Hatukuwa ni waweza wa kukushindeni, nasi tukakukingeni na hawa Waumini? Basi Mwenyezi Mungu atahukumu baina yenu Siku ya Kiyama, wala Mwenyezi Mungu hatawapa makafiri njia ya kuwashinda Waumini.
*—those who lie in wait for you: if there is a victory for you from Allah, they say, ‘Were we not with you?’ But if the faithless get a share [of victory], they say, ‘Did we not prevail upon you and defend you against the faithful?’ Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection, and Allah will never provide the faithless any way [to prevail] over the faithful.

|
4:142
إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ يُخَادِعُونَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ خَادِعُهُمْ وَإِذَا قَامُوا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ قَامُوا كُسَالَىٰ يُرَاءُونَ النَّاسَ وَلَا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
*Hakika wanaafiki wanamkhadaa Mwenyezi Mungu, na hali ni Yeye ndiye mwenye kuwakhadaa wao. Na wanapo inuka kusali huinuka kwa unyong´onyo, wanajionyesha kwa watu tu, wala hawamdhukuru Mwenyezi Mungu ila kidogo tu.
*The hypocrites indeed seek to deceive Allah, but it is He who outwits them. When they stand up for prayer, they stand up lazily, showing off to the people and not remembering Allah except a little,

|
4:143
مُذَبْذَبِينَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ لَا إِلَىٰ هَٰؤُلَاءِ وَلَا إِلَىٰ هَٰؤُلَاءِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ سَبِيلًا
*Wanayumba yumba baina ya huku na huko. Huku hawako na huko hawako. Na ambaye Mwenyezi Mungu amemwacha kupotea, kabisa hutompatia njia.
*wavering in between: neither with these, nor with those. And whomever Allah leads astray, you will never find any way for him.

|
4:144
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۚ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَانًا مُبِينًا
*Enyi mlio amini! Msiwafanye makafiri kuwa ndio marafiki badala ya Waumini. Je, mnataka Mwenyezi Mungu awe na hoja iliyo wazi juu yenu?
*O you who have faith! Do not take the faithless for friends instead of the faithful. Do you wish to give Allah a clear sanction against yourselves?
|
|
4:145
إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ فِي الدَّرْكِ الْأَسْفَلِ مِنَ النَّارِ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُمْ نَصِيرًا
*Hakika wanaafiki watakuwa katika t´abaka ya chini kabisa Motoni, wala hutompata yeyote wa kuwanusuru.
*Indeed the hypocrites will be in the lowest reach of the Fire, and you will never find any helper for them,

|
4:146
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا وَأَصْلَحُوا وَاعْتَصَمُوا بِاللَّهِ وَأَخْلَصُوا دِينَهُمْ لِلَّهِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۖ وَسَوْفَ يُؤْتِ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
*Isipo kuwa wale walio tubu, na wakatengeneza na wakashikamana na Mwenyezi Mungu, na wakamtakasia Dini yao Mwenyezi Mungu. Basi hao ni pamoja na Waumini. Na Mwenyezi Mungu atakuja wapa Waumini ujira mkubwa.
*except for those who repent and reform, and hold fast to Allah and dedicate their religion [exclusively] to Allah. Those are with the faithful, and soon Allah will give the faithful a great reward.

|
4:147
مَا يَفْعَلُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَابِكُمْ إِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ وَآمَنْتُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ شَاكِرًا عَلِيمًا
*Mwenyezi Mungu hakuadhibuni mkimshukuru na mkamuamini. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mwenye kupokea shukrani na ndiye Mwenye kujua.
*Why should Allah punish you if you give thanks and be faithful? And Allah is appreciative, all-knowing.

|
4:148
لَا يُحِبُّ اللَّهُ الْجَهْرَ بِالسُّوءِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ إِلَّا مَنْ ظُلِمَ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ سَمِيعًا عَلِيمًا
*MWENYEZI MUNGU hapendi uovu uenezwe kwa maneno ila kwa mwenye kudhulumiwa. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mwenye kusikia na Mwenye kujua.
*Allah does not like the disclosure of [anyone’s] evil [conduct] in speech except by someone who has been wronged, and Allah is all-hearing, all-knowing.

|
4:149
إِنْ تُبْدُوا خَيْرًا أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ أَوْ تَعْفُوا عَنْ سُوءٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا قَدِيرًا
*Mkidhihirisha wema au mkiuficha, au mkiyasamehe maovu, hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwingi wa maghfira na Muweza.
*Whether you disclose a good [deed that you do] or hide it, or excuse an evil [deed], Allah is indeed all-excusing, all-powerful.

|
4:150
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقُوا بَيْنَ اللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَيَقُولُونَ نُؤْمِنُ بِبَعْضٍ وَنَكْفُرُ بِبَعْضٍ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذُوا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلًا
*Hakika wale wanao mkataa Mwenyezi Mungu na Mitume wake, na wanataka kufarikisha baina ya Mwenyezi Mungu na Mitume wake, kwa kusema: Wengine tunawaamini na wengine tunawakataa. Na wanataka kushika njia iliyo kati kati ya haya,
*Those who disbelieve in Allah and His apostles and seek to separate Allah from His apostles, and say, ‘We believe in some and disbelieve in some’ and seek to take a way in between
|
|
4:151
أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ حَقًّا ۚ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُهِينًا
*Hao ndio makafiri kweli. Na tumewaandalia makafiri adhabu ya kudhalilisha.
*—it is they who are truly faithless, and We have prepared for the faithless a humiliating punishment.
|
|
4:152
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَلَمْ يُفَرِّقُوا بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ أُولَٰئِكَ سَوْفَ يُؤْتِيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا
*Na walio muamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Mitume wake, wala wasimfarikishe yeyote kati yao, hao atawapa ujira wao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwingi wa maghfira, na Mwenye kurehemu.
*But those who have faith in Allah and His apostles and make no distinction between any of them—them He will soon give their rewards, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

|
4:153
يَسْأَلُكَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ أَنْ تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ كِتَابًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ ۚ فَقَدْ سَأَلُوا مُوسَىٰ أَكْبَرَ مِنْ ذَٰلِكَ فَقَالُوا أَرِنَا اللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ بِظُلْمِهِمْ ۚ ثُمَّ اتَّخَذُوا الْعِجْلَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ فَعَفَوْنَا عَنْ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَآتَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ سُلْطَانًا مُبِينًا
*Watu wa Kitabu wanakutaka uwateremshia kitabu kutoka mbinguni. Na kwa hakika walikwisha mtaka Musa makubwa kuliko hayo. Walisema: Tuonyeshe Mwenyezi Mungu wazi wazi. Wakapigwa na radi kwa hiyo dhulma yao. Kisha wakamchukua ndama kumuabudu, baada ya kwisha wajia hoja zilizo wazi. Nasi tukasamehe hayo, na tukampa Musa nguvu zilizo dhaahiri.
*The People of the Book ask you to bring down for them a Book from the sky. Certainly they asked Moses for [something] greater than that, for they said, ‘Show us Allah visibly,’ whereat a thunderbolt seized them for their wrongdoing. Then they took up the Calf [for worship], after all the manifest proofs that had come to them. Yet We excused that, and We gave Moses a manifest authority.

|
4:154
وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ الطُّورَ بِمِيثَاقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ادْخُلُوا الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا فِي السَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُمْ مِيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا
*Na tukanyanyua mlima juu yao kwa kufanya agano nao. Na tukawaambia: Ingilieni mlangoni kwa unyenyekevu. Na tukawaambia: Msiivunje Siku ya Sabato (Jumaa mosi). Na tukachukua kwao ahadi iliyo madhubuti.
*And We raised the Mount above them for the sake of their covenant, and We said to them, ‘Enter the gate prostrating’ and We said to them, ‘Do not violate the Sabbath,’ and We took from them a solemn covenant.

|
4:155
فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِمْ مِيثَاقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِمْ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌ ۚ بَلْ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
*Basi kwa sababu ya kuvunja kwao ahadi zao, na kuzikataa kwao ishara za Mwenyezi Mungu, na kuwauwa kwao Manabii bila ya haki, na kusema kwao: Nyoyo zetu zimefumbwa; bali Mwenyezi Mungu amezipiga muhuri kwa kufuru zao, basi hawaamini ila kidogo tu -
*Then because of their breaking their covenant, their defiance of Allah’s signs, their killing of the prophets unjustly and for their saying, ‘Our hearts are uncircumcised’… Indeed, Allah has set a seal on them for their unfaith, so they do not have faith except a few.

|
4:156
وَبِكُفْرِهِمْ وَقَوْلِهِمْ عَلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ بُهْتَانًا عَظِيمًا
*Na pia kwa kufuru zao na kumsingizia kwao Maryamu uwongo mkubwa,
*And for their faithlessness, and their uttering a monstrous calumny against Mary,

|
4:157
وَقَوْلِهِمْ إِنَّا قَتَلْنَا الْمَسِيحَ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَٰكِنْ شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ ۚ مَا لَهُمْ بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِلَّا اتِّبَاعَ الظَّنِّ ۚ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِينًا
*Na kwa kusema kwao: Sisi tumemuuwa Masihi Isa, mwana wa Maryamu, Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu - nao hawakumuuwa wala hawakumsalibu, bali walifananishiwa tu. Na hakika walio khitalifiana katika haya wamo katika shaka nayo. Wao hawana ujuzi nayo wowote, ila ni kufuata dhana tu. Wala hawakumuuwa kwa yakini.
*and for their saying, ‘We killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, the apostle of Allah’—though they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but so it was made to appear to them. Indeed those who differ concerning him are surely in doubt about him: they do not have any knowledge of that beyond following conjectures, and certainly, they did not kill him.

4:158
بَلْ رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا
*Bali Mwenyezi Mungu alim- tukuza kwake, na hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye hikima.
*Indeed, Allah raised him up toward Himself, and Allah is all-mighty, all-wise.

|
4:159
وَإِنْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا لَيُؤْمِنَنَّ بِهِ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ ۖ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا
*Na hawi katika Watu wa Kitabu ila hakika atamuamini yeye kabla ya kufa kwake. Naye Siku ya Kiyama atakuwa shahidi juu yao.
*There is none among the People of the Book but will surely believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Resurrection, he will be a witness against them.

4:160
فَبِظُلْمٍ مِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ طَيِّبَاتٍ أُحِلَّتْ لَهُمْ وَبِصَدِّهِمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَثِيرًا
*Basi kwa dhulma yao Mayahudi tuliwaharimishia vitu vizuri walivyo halalishiwa. Na kwa sababu ya kuwazuilia kwao watu wengi na Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu,
*Due to the wrongdoing of the Jews, We prohibited them certain good things that were permitted to them [earlier], and for their barring many [people] from the way of Allah,

|
4:161
وَأَخْذِهِمُ الرِّبَا وَقَدْ نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَأَكْلِهِمْ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ بِالْبَاطِلِ ۚ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
*Na kuchukua kwao riba, nao wamekatazwa, na kula kwao mali ya watu kwa dhulma. Basi tumewaandalia makafiri katika wao adhabu yenye uchungu.
*and for their taking usury—though they had been forbidden from it—and for eating up the wealth of the people wrongfully. And We have prepared for the faithless among them a painful punishment.

4:162
لَٰكِنِ الرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ مِنْهُمْ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ ۚ وَالْمُقِيمِينَ الصَّلَاةَ ۚ وَالْمُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أُولَٰئِكَ سَنُؤْتِيهِمْ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
*Lakini walio bobea katika ilimu miongoni mwao, na Waumini, wanayaamini uliyo teremshiwa wewe, na yaliyo teremshwa kabla yako. Na wanao shika Sala, na wakatoa Zaka, na wanao muamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Siku ya Mwisho - hao tutawapa malipo makubwa.
*But as for those who are firmly grounded in knowledge from among them, and the faithful, they believe in what has been sent down to you, and what was sent down before you—those who maintain the prayer, give the zakat, and believe in Allah and the Last Day—them We shall give a great reward.

4:163
إِنَّا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ كَمَا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ نُوحٍ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ۚ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْأَسْبَاطِ وَعِيسَىٰ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُونُسَ وَهَارُونَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ ۚ وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُورًا
*Hakika Sisi tumekuletea wahyi wewe kama tulivyo wapelekea wahyi Nuhu na Manabii walio kuwa baada yake. Na tulimpelekea wahyi Ibrahim na Ismail na Is-haka na Yaakub na wajukuu zake, na Isa na Ayub na Yunus na Harun na Suleiman, na Daud tukampa Zaburi.
*We have indeed revealed to you as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him, and [as] We revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, Jesus and Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon—and We gave David the Psalms—

4:164
وَرُسُلًا قَدْ قَصَصْنَاهُمْ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَرُسُلًا لَمْ نَقْصُصْهُمْ عَلَيْكَ ۚ وَكَلَّمَ اللَّهُ مُوسَىٰ تَكْلِيمًا
*Na Mitume tulio kwisha kukuhadithia kabla yake, na Mitume wengine hatukukuhadithia. Na Mwenyezi Mungu alinena na Musa kwa maneno.
*and apostles We have recounted to you earlier and apostles We have not recounted to you—and to Moses Allah spoke directly—

4:165
رُسُلًا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنْذِرِينَ لِئَلَّا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى اللَّهِ حُجَّةٌ بَعْدَ الرُّسُلِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا
*Mitume hao ni wabashiri na waonyaji, ili watu wasiwe na hoja juu ya Mwenyezi Mungu baada ya kuletewa Mitume. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye hikima.
*apostles, as bearers of good news and warners, so that mankind may not have any argument against Allah, after the [sending of the] apostles; and Allah is all-mighty, all-wise.

|
4:166
لَٰكِنِ اللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ أَنْزَلَهُ بِعِلْمِهِ ۖ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ يَشْهَدُونَ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا
*Lakini Mwenyezi Mungu anayashuhudia aliyo kuteremshia wewe. Ameyateremsha kwa kujua kwake - na Malaika pia wanashuhudia. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anatosha kuwa shahidi.
*But Allah bears witness to what He has sent down to you—He sent it down with His knowledge—and the angels bear witness [too], and Allah quite suffices as witness.

|
4:167
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قَدْ ضَلُّوا ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا
*Hakika walio kufuru na wakazuilia Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, wamekwisha potelea mbali.
*Indeed those who are faithless and bar [others] from the way of Allah, have certainly strayed into far error.

|
4:168
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَظَلَمُوا لَمْ يَكُنِ اللَّهُ لِيَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ وَلَا لِيَهْدِيَهُمْ طَرِيقًا
*Hakika wale walio kufuru na wakadhulumu hawi Mwenyezi Mungu kuwasamehe wala kuwaongoa njia.
*Indeed those who are faithless and do wrong, Allah shall never forgive them, nor shall He guide them to any way,

|
4:169
إِلَّا طَرِيقَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرًا
*Isipo kuwa njia ya Jahannamu. Humo watadumu milele. Na hayo kwa Mwenyezi Mungu ni mepesi.
*except the way to hell, to remain in it forever, and that is easy for Allah.

4:170
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الرَّسُولُ بِالْحَقِّ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَآمِنُوا خَيْرًا لَكُمْ ۚ وَإِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
*Enyi Watu! Amekwisha kujieni Mtume huyu na haki itokayo kwa Mola wenu Mlezi. Basi aminini, ndiyo kheri yenu. Na mkikakanusha basi hakika viliomo mbinguni na duniani ni vya Mwenyezi Mungu tu. Na hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi Mwenye hikima.
*O mankind! The Apostle has certainly brought you the truth from your Lord. So have faith! That is better for you. And if you are faithless, [you should know that] to Allah indeed belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

4:171
يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لَا تَغْلُوا فِي دِينِكُمْ وَلَا تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْحَقَّ ۚ إِنَّمَا الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِنْهُ ۖ فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ ۖ وَلَا تَقُولُوا ثَلَاثَةٌ ۚ انْتَهُوا خَيْرًا لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا اللَّهُ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۖ سُبْحَانَهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ ۘ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا
*Enyi Watu wa Kitabu! Msipite kiasi katika dini yenu, wala msimseme Mwenyezi Mungu ila kwa lilio kweli. Hakika Masihi Isa mwana wa Maryamu ni Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu, na neno lake tu alilo mpelekea Maryamu, na ni roho iliyo toka kwake. Basi Muaminini Mwenyezi Mungu na Mitume wake. Wala msiseme: Utatu. Komeni! Itakuwa kheri kwenu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mungu mmoja tu. Ametukuka Yeye na kuwa na mwana. Ni vyake Yeye vyote viliomo katika mbingu na katika ardhi. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mtegemewa wa kutosha.
*O People of the Book! Do not exceed the bounds in your religion, and do not attribute anything to Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only an apostle of Allah, and His Word that He cast toward Mary and a spirit from Him. So have faith in Allah and His apostles, and do not say, ‘[God is] a trinity.’ Relinquish [such a creed]! That is better for you. Allah is but the One God. He is far too immaculate to have any son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah suffices as trustee.

4:172
لَنْ يَسْتَنْكِفَ الْمَسِيحُ أَنْ يَكُونَ عَبْدًا لِلَّهِ وَلَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ يَسْتَنْكِفْ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ وَيَسْتَكْبِرْ فَسَيَحْشُرُهُمْ إِلَيْهِ جَمِيعًا
*Masihi hataona uvunjifu kuwa mtumwa wa Mwenyezi Mungu, wala Malaika walio karibishwa. Na watakao ona uvunjifu utumwa wa Mwenyezi Mungu na kufanya kiburi, basi atawakusanya wote kwake.
*The Messiah would never disdain being a servant of Allah, nor would the angels brought near [to Him]. And whoever disdains His worship and is arrogant, He will gather them all toward Him.

4:173
فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدُهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۖ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْتَنْكَفُوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا
*Na ama walio amini na wakatenda mema atawalipa ujira wao sawa sawa, na atawazidishia kwa fadhila yake. Na ama wale walio ona uvunjifu na wakafanya kiburi, basi atawaadhibu adhabu iliyo chungu. Wala hawatopata mlinzi wala wa kuwanusuru asiye kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu.
*As for those who have faith and do righteous deeds, He will pay them in full their rewards, and He will enhance them out of His grace. But those who are disdainful and arrogant, He will punish them with a painful punishment, and they will not find besides Allah any guardian or helper.

4:174
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ بُرْهَانٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَأَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ نُورًا مُبِينًا
*Enyi watu! Umekufikieni ushahidi kutoka kwa Mola wenu Mlezi. Na tumekuteremshieni Nuru iliyo wazi.
*O mankind! Certainly, a proof has come to you from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a manifest light.

4:175
فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَاعْتَصَمُوا بِهِ فَسَيُدْخِلُهُمْ فِي رَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَيْهِ صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمًا
*Ama wale walio muamini Mwenyezi Mungu, na wakashikamana naye, basi atawatia katika rehema yake na fadhila, na atawaongoa kwenye Njia Iliyo Nyooka.
*As for those who have faith in Allah, and hold fast to Him, He will admit them to His mercy and grace, and He will guide them on a straight path to Him.

4:176
يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ قُلِ اللَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِي الْكَلَالَةِ ۚ إِنِ امْرُؤٌ هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُ أُخْتٌ فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ ۚ وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَا إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا وَلَدٌ ۚ فَإِنْ كَانَتَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُمَا الثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَ ۚ وَإِنْ كَانُوا إِخْوَةً رِجَالًا وَنِسَاءً فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الْأُنْثَيَيْنِ ۗ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَضِلُّوا ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
*Wanakuomba uhukumu, sema: Mwenyezi Mungu anakupeni hukumu juu ya mkiwa. Ikiwa mtu amekufa, naye hana mtoto, lakini anaye ndugu wa kike, basi huyo atapata nusu alicho acha maiti. Na mwanamume atamrithi ndugu wa kike ikiwa hana mwana. Na ikiwa wao ni ndugu wa kike wawili, basi watapata thuluthi mbili za alicho acha maiti. Na wakiwa ndugu wanaume na wanawake, basi mwanamume atapata sehemu iliyo sawa na ya wanawake wawili. Mwenyezi Mungu anakubainishieni ili msipotee; na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi wa kila kitu.
*They ask you for a ruling. Say, ‘Allah gives you a ruling concerning the kalalah: If a man dies and has no children [or parents], but has a sister, for her shall be a half of what he leaves, and he shall inherit from her if she has no children. If there be two sisters, then they shall receive two-thirds of what he leaves. But if there be [several] brothers and sisters, then for the male shall be the like of the share of two females. Allah explains [the laws] for you lest you should go astray, and Allah has knowledge of all things.’
