Sura 80 - Abasa

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
80:1
عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
*Alikunja kipaji na akageuka,
*He frowned and turned away
80:2
أَنْ جَاءَهُ الْأَعْمَىٰ
*Kwa sababu alimjia kipofu!
*when the blind man approached him.
80:3
وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُ يَزَّكَّىٰ
*Na nini kitakujuulisha pengine yeye atatakasika?
*And how do you know, maybe he would purify himself,
80:4
أَوْ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنْفَعَهُ الذِّكْرَىٰ
*Au atawaidhika, na mawaidha yamfae?
*or take admonition, and the admonition would benefit him!
80:5
أَمَّا مَنِ اسْتَغْنَىٰ
*Ama ajionaye hana haja,
*But as for someone who is wealthy,
80:6
فَأَنْتَ لَهُ تَصَدَّىٰ
*Wewe ndio unamshughulikia?
*you attend to him,
80:7
وَمَا عَلَيْكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّىٰ
*Na si juu yako kama hakutakasika.
*though you are not liable if he does not purify himself.
80:8
وَأَمَّا مَنْ جَاءَكَ يَسْعَىٰ
*Ama anaye kujia kwa juhudi,
*But as for someone who comes hurrying to you,
80:9
وَهُوَ يَخْشَىٰ
*Naye anaogopa,
*while he fears [Allah],
80:10
فَأَنْتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّىٰ
*Ndio wewe unampuuza?
*you are neglectful of him.
80:11
كَلَّا إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ
*Sivyo hivyo! Huku ni kukumbushana.
*No indeed! These [verses of the Quran ] are a reminder
80:12
فَمَنْ شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ
*Basi anaye penda akumbuke.
*—so let anyone who wishes remember—
80:13
فِي صُحُفٍ مُكَرَّمَةٍ
*Yamo katika kurasa zilizo hishimiwa,
*in honoured scriptures,
80:14
مَرْفُوعَةٍ مُطَهَّرَةٍ
*Zilizo inuliwa, zilizo takaswa.
*exalted and purified,
80:15
بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍ
*Zimo mikononi mwa Malaika waandishi,
*in the hands of envoys,
80:16
كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ
*Watukufu, wema.
*noble and pious.
80:17
قُتِلَ الْإِنْسَانُ مَا أَكْفَرَهُ
*Ameangamia mwanaadamu! Nini kinacho mkufurisha?
*Perish man! How ungrateful is he!
80:18
مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ
*Kwa kitu gani amemuumba?
*From what did He create him?
80:19
مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُ فَقَدَّرَهُ
*Kwa tone la manii, akamuumba na akamkadiria.
*He created him from a drop of [seminal] fluid; then proportioned him.
80:20
ثُمَّ السَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُ
*Kisha akamsahilishia njia.
*Then He made the way easy for him;
80:21
ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُ فَأَقْبَرَهُ
*Kisha akamfisha, akamtia kaburini.
*then He made him die and buried him;
80:22
ثُمَّ إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْشَرَهُ
*Kisha apendapo atamfufua.
*and then, when He wished, resurrected him.
80:23
كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَا أَمَرَهُ
*La! Hajamaliza aliyo muamuru.
*No indeed! He has not yet carried out what He has commanded him.
80:24
فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْإِنْسَانُ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِهِ
*Hebu mtu na atazame chakula chake.
*Let man consider his food:
80:25
أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَاءَ صَبًّا
*Hakika Sisi tumemimina maji kwa nguvu,
*We pour down plenteous water [from the sky],
80:26
ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْأَرْضَ شَقًّا
*Tena tukaipasua pasua ardhi kwa nguvu,
*then We split the earth making fissures in it
80:27
فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبًّا
*Kisha tukaotesha humo nafaka,
*and make the grain grow in it,
80:28
وَعِنَبًا وَقَضْبًا
*Na zabibu, na mimea ya majani,
*as well as vines and vegetables,
80:29
وَزَيْتُونًا وَنَخْلًا
*Na mizaituni, na mitende,
*olives and date palms,
80:30
وَحَدَائِقَ غُلْبًا
*Na bustani zenye miti iliyo songana baraabara,
*and densely-planted gardens,
80:31
وَفَاكِهَةً وَأَبًّا
*Na matunda, na malisho ya wanyama;
*fruits and pastures,
80:32
مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ
*Kwa manufaa yenu na mifugo yenu.
*as a sustenance for you and your livestock.
80:33
فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ الصَّاخَّةُ
*Basi utakapo kuja ukelele,
*So when the deafening Cry comes—
80:34
يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ
*Siku ambayo mtu atamkimbia nduguye,
*the day when a man will evade his brother,
80:35
وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبِيهِ
*Na mamaye na babaye,
*his mother and his father,
80:36
وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَبَنِيهِ
*Na mkewe na wanawe -
*his spouse and his sons—
80:37
لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ
*Kila mtu miongoni mwao siku hiyo atakuwa na lake la kumtosha.
*each of them will have a task to keep him preoccupied on that day.
80:38
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُسْفِرَةٌ
*Siku hiyo ziko nyuso zitazo nawiri,
*Some faces will be bright on that day,
80:39
ضَاحِكَةٌ مُسْتَبْشِرَةٌ
*Zitacheka, zitachangamka;
*laughing and joyous,
80:40
وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ
*Na nyuso siku hiyo zitakuwa na mavumbi,
*and some faces on that day will be covered with dust,
80:41
تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ
*Giza totoro litazifunika,
*overcast with gloom.
80:42
أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ الْفَجَرَةُ
*Hao ndio makafiri watenda maovu.
*It is they who are the faithless, the vicious.
